Finally found my go to salon! I do SNS powder dip and Nancy is amazing. My nails hold up extremely well. The reason I gave Fresh Nails four stars is because every time I walk in (mind you I ALWAYS have an appointment) I end up waiting at least a half hour which is frustrating. Nancy is always so sweet and apologizes however, the owner or manager should be more mindful of people's appointments and not let walk ins be serviced minutes before an appointment will arrive because it's unfair. read more

My daughter and I visited Fresh nails for the first time. 7/23/18. Ping did our nails. What wonderful work although my index fingers were shaped a tad bit crooked. I did not notice it until after the fact but they were done so well you had to really look to see it. Now on to other things. I love this place because I am big on environment and decor. I have a certification in Interior redesign and home staging so YES! the blinged out pendant, back splash and mirrors that offered character to them stood out to me. Nice, clean location, staff was professional and they had a nice range of color choices. I really wanted a well done coffin shape and from the photos posted on their Instagram, it looked like they could do it. Went in and showed them a picture from their Instagram of what I wanted and walked out completely disappointed because my nails were barely coffin and all the nails weren't even the same shape. I was especially disappointed because I had just watched another tech who I believe was the manager take her time and meticulously shape another client's Stilletto nails and I expected the same from my tech. I did express my concerns to the nail technician at the end of the session because I didn't want to micromanage and I thought that in the end the nails would turn out like the picture I showed. I definitely should have been more vocal. She told me that I should have said something before and then she later told me that the color I chose sometimes makes the nails look wider lol. In the end I paid $45 plus tip and can't stand to look at my hands. I highly doubt I will be returning. I've attached a photo of what I asked for and what I got. read more

Jenny is absolutely amazing. Exceeded all of my expectations. I'm a stickler with how my cuticles are cut and someone not rushing through the appointment and I have to say I walked out really really happy with everything. She gave a 2 min massage and that was ridiculous!! She is by far the best manicurist I've ever been to and I'm 48 lol. read more

The service here is great and everyone is friendly! I got UV gel tips with an ombré design for $75 and they lasted through an intense bowling night (with my fingers in the bowling ball holes!!), so i'd say she did a really great job. Definitely coming back :) read more

I walked in on a Sunday and was immediately placed in a pedicure chair. Nancy, with a friendly disposition, immediately noticed that I watched her work; this was my first visit. She effortlessly made my feet look summer ready after a recent and horrible visit to the salon at Roosevelt Field. She made suggestions on other services without being pushy and entertained my concerns based on the bad experience I had at another nail salon. I walked out more than satisfied and will return! P.S. while I was there, the other technicians were doing their colleagues' nails; they were critiquing each other's work which impressed me because it showed that they desired to hone their craft and not at the customers expense. Couldn't love this place more! I have hopped around a lot of nail salons trying to find a place to fit my needs. Since I am in the beauty industry, I admit I'm VERY picky with my nails... but Ping is by far the most talented nail tech I have ever been to! Whenever I find a picture online for inspiration on designs for my nails, they come out 10 times better than the picture. Yes sometimes you may have to wait a few minutes after your appointment time and sometimes maybe you'll be paying more than you expected if you do get designs, but the quality of work is absolutely worth it all. Not to mention they are all very attentive and so nice. Im so glad I found this place! read more

This nail salon is top notch! Super clean, quality LONG LASTING work, and pleasant staff. Being a returning customer and reading some of the reviews, I think they can avoid people calling the salon overpriced if they were more transparent about pricing. Specifically, they should include the price for designs either 2 nails and/or all nails (gold foil, rhinestones, etc.) on the price list inside the salon. It's also strange that pedicure pricing for adults isn't listed. I hope they take this review into consideration. read more

The owner Ping is the best in the business. You can tell she loves what she does through the care and time she takes. I've been going to her for years. Always satisfied and get countless compliments on my nails after she does them. This salon is extremely clean which is important to say the least. You have plenty of colors and designs to choose from. She runs a honest business. If you want a cheap job done here is not the place for you. I highly recommend this salon. EDIT TO OWNER: There was not a record of every time I came because when I questioned why I went from 200 points the last visit down to 130 you added another 40 and made it 170, which also was shady and rubbed me the wrong way. Very clean place. It was very busy, but I made an appointment in advance. When I arrived there were few people waiting, but I was accommodated immediately. Pedicure was done well. Powder manicure with tips is ok, the nails looks a bit wide and not even, the lady who did it was rushing. read more

Worst experience. I was a first time customer and came in with my mother and grandmother. I wanted a simple fill in for French powder gel. They charged me $35 for just the pink part mind you the pink didn't even match the original pink on my nail so I was nice and said you know that's fine just do it and bring the white higher. The girl proceeded to do so on one nail and then none of the rest. She went to go out on the sealing coat when I asked her if she was going to fix the white when she turned to the manager and the manager said no. I asked why and how could you not fix it with a fill in especially when I have 2 different pinks on my nails now and she said it would be an extra $20 just to touch up the white part on my nail. I don't know about you but to me that's ridiculous when 1) you know I came in here for a fill in for FRENCH POWDER GEL. you should have told me that part in the first place otherwise I wouldn't have waisted my time 2) you're a new salon with no follow who the heck do you think you are charging $20 extra to basically touch up a white line when you're technician was sprinkling pink powder gel all over my nail... yes sprinkling not dipping to create a straight seem. 3) my nail technician at Pink Nails in Merrick who have been reviewed as the best nails in the tristate area for numerous years would never even dare to charge a ridiculous price like that and not accommodate me if they didn't have a color to match the original. And they have many more years of experience as well as a huge continuing clientele. And now you can see the two different color pinks on my nail. Went here for the first time on Friday and got a gel powder manicure. Ping did my nails and she did an absolutely AMAZING job. I have gotten gel powder manicures at so many different places but this was the best one yet. She took her time with my nails and made sure they looked perfect. Owner is really RUDE ( or who ever sits at the front and answers the phone) They dont greet you when you come in , and they are over priced ! Once shes done talking to you she ignores you , even if you are not done talking to her . The girl Tianna she does really nice nails. But all they know how to do is gel shit , when there is color acrylic and more , which they dont have . I got the sculpting gel AND jus gel on top with some stickers and paid 100$ . Then my nail broke 2 days after she did it ! I only went here cus my lady was on vacation. They do nice work but not worth the prices . They should lower the prices . I get that they aren't American and want to milk Americans out of all their money . But you as customers should be smart and look at what you really paying for . One persons nails could pay one of them for the day . I will not be back as much as i like the nail work . The rudeness is ridiculous. Look how she responds to the yelp reviews. read more

i see a lot of people complaining about how they are expensive and that you can get a full set for $20 elsewhere but i promise you that you will not get nails as nice as the work these girls do for $20 anywhere else on long island. the prices are on par with the talent all of ping's employees have. ive never had my acrylics break or fall off ever since going to fresh nails. and they are all nothing but kind! even when i've been late or missed an appointment, ping has been nothing but nice about it. they all do an amazing job and even when they're overworked and pressed on time, they'll try to fit you in. not sure why everyone on here is being so rude. if you wanna be cheap and pay $20 and have your nails fall off within a week elsewhere then do that? you get what you pay for and they always go above and beyond. they all work so hard and deserve the money they charge. and PS. they have ALWAYS made their prices PERFECTLY clear. read more
