Our old little house has so many windows that were not taken care of by the previous owner. It was probably a decade since they had been cleaned and you could tell. I had quite a bit of remodeling and restoration done to my home recently following a flood. I needed someone to clean up after all the workers had finished with the remodeling and repairs. Jay gave me a reasonable quote for cleaning the carpets and Jennifer gave me a very reasonable quote for a whole home cleaning including window cleaning. Jennifer's crew responded out Wednesday, April 23 and cleaned the refrigerators, dusted all the furniture, and cleaned the new tile flooring. They were dealing with cement dust and a lot of grime left over from six weeks of painting, plastering, and home-improvement work. They did a great job. The next day Jay and his crew came to clean the windows and do the carpet cleaning. I was very happy with their work and I'm pleased to recommend them. The house looks as good as new. read more

Susan did an excellent job cleaning our home for the first time! She is sweet, personable and professional. Upon her arrival, Susan was intent on determining what I wanted her to focus on. I explained that my travertine floors throughout our home were of particular concern to me, as my attempts to damp mop in the past always resulted in unsightly streaking. She assured me she would be able to clean the floors with no streaking, and to my surprise, she did just that! I would give less than one star if I could. Jessica, the manager, acts like she cares but she doesn't. She sent different people to clean my house but each one of them is not good enough. Most of them are slow and I always end up adding more money than the agreed just do they can finish. The last one was the worst! After I told Jessica this is the last chance she can prove herself, she sent somebody with little experience. She's been with the company for three months and didn't know how to clean. Aside from leaving my toilet bowl unscrubbed and shower stalls with water spots, she used laundry detergent and water to mop my hard wood floors! She left the floors wet and didn't dry them. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I agree the service is a joke. Should have known the whole time she kept saying it was between $69.00 and $139.00. I finally agreed with Jennifer she was not to go over $89.00, and even then she was to call me and get a authorization for the $89.00, (SHE NEVER CALLED). She sent over Marsha, suppose to be the best. Marsha half cleaned the apartment. I called Jennifer the owner, after my daughter called complaining, while the Marsha was there. I left Jennifer a voicemail message. Trying to be fair, I told her to call me discuss a fair and appropriate amount for the service. After all that Jennifer still charged my credit card for $139.00 anyway and then offer me a $25.00 discount for their next visit. Mind you I already had told her I do not want to do business with them anymore. I WILL BORE YOU WITH MY STORY: I hired them for cleaning service for my daughter place in Riverside, it is a tiny apartment no more than 750 square feet this includes a separate room for her roommate, that they did not go into. I hired them to clean my daughter room and the common area. So this is what she was suppose to do as follow: Her bedroom Clean..... 1) Sink and counter top 2) Toilet 3)Tub 4) Mop the floor in the bathroom 5) Run the vacuum in her room Common Area: Clean..... 1) Mop the floor in the living area and kitchen 2) Clean the stove top 3) Wipe off appliances toaster and coffee maker 4) Vacuum a small rug. Marsha arrived at 1:30 and finished around 4:00 (2.5 hrs.) My daughter called because she was not happy with the service, she put Marsha on the phone. I asked her exactly what she did, she could not answer me. Kept saying the work she did was worth $139.00. Basically a hourly rate of $55.60. My daughter sent me pictures right after she left with the floor in the still dirty, the toilet half clean and the tub with soap scum on it, and in her bedroom behind the door where she did not vacuum clean. The stove top still dirty. And the worse part my daughter roommate from Paris and two other people there said the floor looked a little clean and the common are smelled good. I too had a horrible experience. Jennifer the owner told me someone would come between 10:30 am and 12:30 today. At about 12:00 Diane came but refused to clean my home because I told her the Terminex guy came 3 days earlier to spray my kitchen cabinets and the perimeter of my home. She said it was toxic. Even though I had told Jennifer why I wanted them there to clean my cabinets and I told them the spray is not toxic once it drys. Which was days before. You would think I had said agent orange!!! Jennifer called to apologize and offer someone to come out tomorrow. But I had wasted all morning on them. She also offered a $50 discount Next service after I clearly said I wanted nothing to do with this company. Buyer beware. Don't waste your time. read more

I'm very pleased that we decided to book Fresh Start for a detailed cleaning of our 2,220 sq foot home. We rented our home for 3 years and when the tenants left, we did not recognize it! The grout was black, the windows never cleaned, cabinets were damaged, carpets were ruined. I thought it would be impossible to clean. I was wrong, I reached out to Fresh Start and within 1 day I had an itemized quote of all services. We did window treatment, deep cleaning of all 3 bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, from ceiling to floor. Water pressure of the garage, grout cleaning with sealer, and much more! I enjoyed working with Fresh Start, they answered all my questions, returned for touch ups, and in the end I knew I selected the right company to tackle what I thought to be an impossible job! I also spoke with Jennifer and was provided with a quote of $229-$269. Worst case would be the higher price. My Mom offered to be at the house while I was at work to let them in. When the 3 ladies arrived, the price changed to $350 which was demanded otherwise they would leave. My Mom immediately called me and asked what she should do. I had 12 relatives arriving the next day and was forced to pay the $350. When I arrived home I found that the work performed was very poor and the things I wa told would be done had not been done. My Mom told me that the ladies worked slowly, talked on the phone and texted a lot, and did not stay the number of hours I was quoted. The floors were not mopped and the blinds and floor boards were not cleaned. The dusting was a joke with many areas were not done. I spent 5 hours after they left dusting, mopping and doing things they were supposed to do. I called Jennifer and she said my house was not as clean as they expected which was very insulting considering I pride myself in keeping a very clean home which others always comment about. I am very unhappy and will never use this service or recommend it to anyone! I also ordered the carpet cleaning service which was scheduled to arrive at 2pm. Well, they never arrived or called. Used this company before moving into a newly purchased home. Employees were rude, lazy and careless with equipment enough to make dents in floor molding. Upon contacting the owner, Jennifer, I felt like I was being chastised by a bible thumper with all the Blessings and God-speak she uttered. She was condescending and dictorial, just terrible! I spoke with Jennifer the owner of the company at length on what I wanted, size of the area being cleaned and price before scheduling cleaning. When Jill arrived again we spoke of the expectations and she gave an estimate of 4-4.5 hours for a price that was over the price I had expected to pay after speaking with the owner. I remember the owner saying we would love our house when they were finished and I figured they were already there. She mentioned that we were very neat. After about 30 mins another person showed up and she joined Jill in cleaning. 2 hours later they said the time was up for the price that we had agreed on. My husband said I thought we agreed on 4 hours. It wasn't a total of 4 hours but 2 hours per person they explained. The clock actually started during the time which she was giving us the new estimate and texting with her boss. We ended up paying more money for them to finish the job. The cost was $60 an hour, for basic cleaning and they skipped stuff in order to finish in the extended time and used our cleaning products. Total rip off, extremely disappointed. I have never written a poor review on any service received. These people are crooks. read more
