Even though they are owned by Meijer I feel their produce is better, which logic says isn't necessarily true as the clerk told me the same truck services both locations! Yet I always find their produce to be super fresh and not picked over. They do have a large selection of organic and vegan items. It's nice because you don't need to hunt them like you do in the larger grocery stores. As far as the meat/seafood. The people who work it are great but the cuts are so/so. A visually appealing store, with fair prices for specialty "healthy, organic" living. Starting with produce, an above average selection including some more rare Items and ingredients, such as oyster mushrooms, but when we got back home half the organic raspberries were rotten-- spoiling the lot. The radishes were gigantic --but really hot-- but we were able to purchase other salads at comparable prices to other major chains. They have an extensive deli featuring Boarshead, but nothing really prepared there, huge disappointment because it's really what we came for. Everything is frozen or ready to heat, with nothing hot and ready to eat. I mistakenly got the sushi-- which I was later to learn was NOT fresh tasted like it had been sitting all day and not very eatable. Standard nigiri which should be easy? Yuck! Should be time stamped!!!! We will also try some of the andouille sausages and hamburgers but the seafood and meat selections looked good --for whatever that's worth. The store is very clean with a huge selection of products, we only sampled a small percentage with somewhat mixed results. read more

Recently came here as a little pit stop on my way to Cleveland to grab some snacks, drinks and other necessities while I was in the area. This place was located right off the highway which was the primary reason why I stopped here. The parking lot that is located in has plenty parking. The restrooms here were pretty clean too. Great deals on all food and drink items. The store layout was easy to get to know just because it's the same as every other fresh thyme store! Checking out was easy since there wasn't much of a line either. Overall, great place to come by and check out for a quick shopping experience. read more

Never went to Fresh Thyme down in Louisville because it closed. Don't know why! This place is huge! High ceilings and such a wide variety of things that my head was spinning! We got English muffins, lattes in a can, fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, and snacks. So much stuff! Lots of things to accommodate for allergies and food sensitivities. It's pricey but seems like it's a good place to do your shopping for a few things here and there. We came early on a Sunday morning so it wasnt busy. Parking lot had tons of spots too! read more

This location has a large parking lot. I really like this location! The store is neat, clean and organized. The staff are eager to please and assist you in any way they can. The produce looks amazing. We like their stuffed acorn squash. The stuffed grapes leaves are a winner. Their deli has a large selection of cheeses and meats. We got some of their turkey which ended up being rather dry. We tried their ground beef and that ended up very tasty. (We made burrito bowls for dinner and the meat worked really well.) A good time to shop apparently is Saturday afternoon when it's not crazy and hectic. It made for a pleasant shopping experience. I absolutely loved this store in this new plaza!! Why couldn't they have this place when I went to Otterbein from 2014-2018?! UGH, your girl is MAD!! This place is bomb to say the least!! It is fully organic with all the best produce/product!! It is so clean/bright/refreshing inside!! I will always be back, whenever I see my bf in Westerville! This store is always cleaned and well stocked. While mostly food and drink items there is a small health and beauty sections. The produce always looks fresh, I don't have to pick through a bunch to find something good. The service has always been good. I've been helped while shopping and looking for specific items and have received a warm welcome each time out the check out lane. read more

I don't understand the high ratings. The items are anything but "Fresh." Their ground beef that was packaged the same day looks fresh on the outside, then you open it and see the entire middle is already grey. Everything except the fruits and vegetables tastes like they are waiting for Kroger to get rid of their outdated items then repackaging as "Fresh." This has got to be the most consistently unfriendly/bordering on rude store in the area. They're closer to me than Whole Foods and that is the only reason they get any of my business. Although every time I visit and get attitude from an employee when I ask a simple question, the more I think an additional 20 minutes to Whole Foods might be worth it. read more

Two part review, the salad bar, and the store SALAD BAR 0.5 / 5 Stars - Come on guys, just use your eyes. I don't know who is responsible for the salad bar, but they probably need to be reviewed. For a store that is very clean, well organized, and has great deals, this is downright gross. The salad is often wilted, the onions on the bar look so old and slimy that they appear 'pickled'. The tofu even had mold on it last time I was here. Seriously, it almost looks like you take whatever expired/rotten food off the shelves and put it on the salad bar. Most of the toppings appear to be far more than a week old. STORE 4.0 / 5 Stars - I love the store itself, very fresh, with a great vegetable/fruit selection, and often some great deals that are favorable to what Kroger has, but a quality that more resembles Whole Foods. Overcharged, once again, by Fresh Thyme. Always get a paper recruit here and check it before you leave the parking lot. Very rude employees up front. Nice people may work only on weekdays. Our visit today was super frustrating. They couldn't find my tea, I had ordered two cases which they told me were in, and today they acted like I had three heads. After they'd finally found it, they double charged me, charging me for 4 cases instead of 2 cases. I said "that sounds kind of high," to which the cashier rolled her eyes. $43 too high to be exact. They rudely and reluctantly refunded the money back into my card, but only refunded $39. Could someone work with them on adding and subtracting? I will go to a different store and try to get my additional $4 refund that I was due. This is the rudest bunch of employees I've ever met. Will never go there again. Prices are waaaaaay too high in the first place. Don't scream about inflation, it's corporate greed. I can live without Fresh Thyme. You can too. Save yourself money and frustration. They have popped up all over Columbus now and I finally went into this one to see how it compared. It is what it is with organic this and that, fresh meats, a small area to get lunch, a well stocked salad bar and prices that are just a bit over the larger grocer stores. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy from here unless it was something I couldn't find at the nearby store or there was a great sale. Best thing about my shopping trip here was I went to the spice aisle to look for a spice I used to live by but could no longer find... they had it here! read more

There is a robust selection of fresh organic fruits and vegetables. Meats are very fresh and are from a farm in Indiana. The chicken is noticeably fresher than from other grocery stores. They have a hot food section where they offer gluten free sandwiches/pizzas. There is usually a line during the week around noon with local business people getting lunch. The staff members are always very friendly and helpful with any special requests. They will check in to see if you are finding everything, which is not common anymore. The staff members were all working hard to prep shelves and curate the produce. Checkout was efficient, and prices were all correct. The price tags around the store were consistent with big box merchants, yet offered quality of a higher level. By my measure, regular price with improved quality makes for increased value to me! It is definitely not overpriced like some other healthy grocery stores such as whole foods. Overall, the high quality product, dedicated and attentive staff, and value-minded pricing will likely be taking business from the competition. read more

I attended the grand opening this morning, bright and early. I was lucky to be among the first 250 people waiting in the cold and the dark who received a free reusable bag with free products. It was organized. There was a young lady outside handing cards out while counting people. If you got a card, you got the freebie. Another young lady came down the line handing out store flyers. Once I got up towards the door, I saw a table with milk and muffins, then two people were assisting with carts. Since almost everyone had a cart inside, it was pretty crowded, but I had an idea of what I needed and I know the store layout from being familiar with the other two stores in Cbus. It was kind of hard to navigate, but that was to be expected. I got several produce items (great sale prices!) and other products off the shelves, then headed for the long checkout lines. This too was organized. They had store associates keeping the aisle clear and letting the next person advance to the checkout once clear. Each cashier had a bagger at their station, and everyone was very friendly. Finally, after checking out, I followed the sign to go out a separate exit to get my two free bags of groceries (one in a reusable and the second one in paper). So generous and much appreciated. I'm very happy this new opening is close to my work (5 minute drive) and will be back frequently. I love the produce selection at this chain. Great store! read more

I come here often out of convenience since it is close to my gym, however on numerous occasions I have seen expired or almost expired food in the stores. Often the produce is old or rotten. I've witness rotten apples, and potatoes on more than one occasion. Bread if often almost expired and same with meat. So Fresh Thyme Market isn't so "fresh". I continue to go out of convenience but I remember when shopping here to ALWAYS check my dates. I really hope this location gets better. read more

They have a nice selection of health-conscious foods, as well as a great wine section. I'm only giving 4 stars because, ironically, the thyme at Fresh Thyme... is always a little brown, and not very fresh looking. Other than that I love coming here. The first time was cooked chicken (for our toddler- thank god I tried it first), the second was shrimp, and finally today we opened ground beef with a terrible smell. I like this store. It is the same stire I used to shop when we lived in Austin, so I was excited to learn there would be one in Westerville. The meat is always a bargain when on sale, and they jave an amazing bulk section with things I don't want to jave to drive across town for. Some of their other items are a little pricey, but the fresh squeezed juice is delish.... and the breads & such are very good quality. I highly recommend! read more

Beware of the "Fresh" claim. I recently purchased fish from the butchers area and when unwrapped to cook the same evening, it was clearly spoiled. The smell was horrible. I am always careful to handle perishable food safely (I live less than five minutes from the store). My point is, this store clearly either intentionally and/or negligently sold the fish. One other point I'd like to make, and what's driving me to take the time to write this review... is I contacted Fresh Thyme directly and in a positive way, ensure they were aware there was an issue with the process/procedures at this store. One of my favorite places to shop. The meat counter is awesome. Sushi is extremely good for grab and go. You must try the Michigan cherry flavored whole bean coffee. Good produce department. A wide variety of supplements. Great bulk food section. Nice bakery. Small but decent beer selection. Go there and grab a six pack of dirty blonde by Atwater brewing. Wednesday is the double ad day meaning the previous week and the new weeks ad are both simultaneously good. Holy crap you guys, I instantly love this place. Hordes of natural food items and cheap produce! This place is so clean when I walked in I said, out loud and to no one in particular, "dude, this place is freakin' clean." Stickers for kids a la Trader Joe's too; I guess if you want to go to TJ's but don't want to drive to Easton (basically, me every day) then you can come here instead. I hate to have to give this location a 2 star review. I am impressed with the great deals and if you buy the items that are on sale you really save a lot of money. A minor issue I have had is I have bought yogurt that was out of date. However, this Westerville has a cashier whose name is Steve. I have had to deal with him a few times and he's nothing but extremely rude. I understand working with the public is not an easy job, but it seems like he is always in the worst mood possible and makes sure you know it. A few weeks ago I had my worst experience ever with the cashier, Steve. I used my debit card with the chip to pay and I understand you need to leave your card in the machine for a while. As I was waiting for my card to process Steve began to scream at me "DO NOT REMOVE YOUR CARD OR TOUCH ANYTHING" over and over again. That made me a little aggravated but I thought whatever. Well then comes the step to enter your pin. I start to enter my pin and he says "I TOLD YOU TO NOT REMOVE YOUR CARD OR TOUCH ANYTHING!" After he yelled at me multiple times I thought maybe I am just being insensitive so I looked around and anyone within about 10 feet of his register was staring over at his register. Like I said I really hate to give a 2 star review here but this man should not be aloud to talk to anyone like that. I really hope management will see this and do something, because this is not the reputation this store deserves and if I see this issue is resolved I will gladly delete this review and give this location 5 stars. read more

Concord grapes overripe and fallen off stem at bottom of container--too old to eat; cherries in every bag I checked were shriveled and unappetizing; bought two bananas and while the first had no bruises on outside, once opened, two rotten spots inside. Muffins were dry and unappetizing as well. Since I went there primarily for produce, would not return. Meijer's produce tops this. read more

One of my favorite grocery stores, hands down. Everyone was super nice, especially the cashiers, Andrea helped me with my groceries and she was super friendly. What a breath of fresh air compared to what I am used to, which is not always the case when it comes to people. I appreciate nice people and am so glad I took a chance with Fresh Thyme.
