We decided to check out the newly opened Ciao Down located on the northwest side of Tucson. My…read morefriend's, husband and I frequent their other central location and since we were in the area wanted to try it. I immediately noticed their nice patio space, which is a great addition. The interior is bright, stylish, and comfortable with a lot of seating. Everything was really organized, too. Our server was excellent and even though they were busy, he took his time and answered questions. I ordered the gluten free veggie and it was outstanding. The crisp GF pizza dough crust was both flavorful and light. Apparently, it's a new recipe and I highly recommend it. My husband ordered his favorite, the mother clucker, and it was seasoned well and was delicious. We each enjoyed beverages and sat at their bar space, which was really great because we were able to watch the pizzas being made and cooked. We plan to continue to make the drive to this new spot, especially in the cooler months to sit on their patio!
