From Sprouts: Organic Acorn Squash & Buddha's Hand

I shop here regularly. Great hours. Always clean. Examine the shelves closely and you'll find new gems on a regular basis. Most of the foods that I have purchased here have been excellent. I appreciate greatly having alternatives to dairy, gluten, peanuts, soy, unsweetened, etc. We also enjoy the European heritage foods that are available. We can recommend their turkeys and appreciate their sugar-free pies. My family barely ever drinks alcohol anymore, but there is also a good selection of beer and wine. The more products I see from Arizona itself, the happier I am, and there has been an increase in that type of rare availability as well. Thank you! However, just recently, I purchased from the Organic Bulk Beets *the worst* beets that I have ever tasted...actually, the only bad tasting beets I'd ever made: flavorless mostly with a tang of bitterness! I'm not picky, but they really were inedible (surprising too bc the cut stems look quite fresh). I also paid $4 for sour raspberries, purchased to share with a family member, that was a disappointment. Also be careful with Sprouts own brand of products of vegan/dairy-free items, I've been burnt with moldy products repeatedly. And bring your own bag. They charge a fee for each of their own bags and you don't really know what the government does with that money. I'm not a fan of scams. Minus a point for constantly begging me for money (for charities they choose) when I ring up, as well as NEVER asking me for my phone number to potentially access discounts. Tsk.

One thing I always look for in a grocery store is this it clean? the store was very clean. The other thing is the staff, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They're not totally organic but they have quite a bit of organic stuff. They were working on making sure everything looked well stocked and orderly. The vegetables seem to be plentiful and for a typical family grocery store that seemed like they had a fair selection of organic items. They also had grass-fed beef and bacon that was uncured. They have a deli area which has some blackened fresh turkey that I like. They have a small little bakery area.Their baked goods are pretty good too they have half loaves of bread which I think you're really nice. They also have some individually prepped items which are good for a senior that may want to not have to prepare everything. They even have some Frozen organic items which were particularly of interest to me. They also had an extensive selection of vitamins and other individual health care items. I've been when it's been crowded and not crowded and the line through the checkout area has always been fast. It's a complete higher quality grocery store with about everything that you could want. They also have their own brand of fresh organic free range eggs at a reasonable price. There was a woman complaining about how high price the eggs were and I said well they're less than a $5 cup of coffee at Starbucks. I have no problem paying a little more to keep farmers in business especially locals.

This neighborhood grocery store offers many natural, organic and gluten free foods. You can get fresh produce and meats too. The fruits and vegetables looks so fresh and colorful. The bakery area had my mouth watering. So many tasty goodies. The store was brightly lit and very clean. Staff at check out were very friendly.

I had been wondering about Truland for quite a while now and am very happy that I finally made it…read more I arrived a few minutes after opening and there was only one other party there. There's some outdoor seating; the bar is right by the entrance and the rest is a fairly spacious dining room. The host and my server were very nice and attentive. The burger was super juicy and I was surprised by how well the bun held up, nothing disintegrated and the burger toppings did not fall out with each bite. The garlic fries were covered in garlic, the potatoes were fried well and were not oily or soggy. I did order the cookie butter banana pie to go and should have taken a picture of it prior to driving off because when I got home, the pie had fallen and melted a bit. The flavors of caramel and butter were a little bit stronger than the banana, but it wasn't too rich and I paired it with some coffee, it was all really good. I would order all of this again and can see why Truland is popular.

I wish I had better things to say, but today's visit to Truland felt a bit underwhelming overall…read more We chose Truland since it's the closer option to Oro Valley compared to Graze. Our waiter was kind, but the service was a bit inconsistent throughout the meal. The outdoor seating is a nice option, especially on a beautiful evening, though the cushions could definitely use some refreshing and cleaning. Now, food-wise, it was a mixed experience. My husband ordered the Baja Shrimp Sandwich, which felt more like an appetizer than a full entrée. I had a salad with added salmon--it was fresh and well-prepared, and the salmon itself was cooked perfectly, but the portion of salmon was tiny and didn't feel worth the added cost. My teenager enjoyed the Early Riser burger with a side salad. The truffle fries were solid, but the side salad felt overpriced for what it was. Overall, the experience just didn't quite match the price point. I really wanted to like it more, and it's honestly surprising to me that, with the same ownership as Graze, the experience felt so different.

The customer service is great, always ready to help and knowledgeable of the menu. Omar, owner, has a great personality. There is a consideration in the making of the food, use of ingredients for example the use of olive oil for the dressings and the chicken cooked fresh. Salad Nation is located in the malls food court, so that experience in itself can vary from very crowded, busy and loud to quiet and empty. Plenty of seating though! My go to choice is one of the salad size options (regular or large) that come in 'bucket' which is a deep bowl and of course some waffle fries. There are several dressings that sound deciduous but I find myself continuing to go back to the Cilantro Avocado. The waffle fries are insanely great. Hand batter and perfectly fried, some of my favorite in town... like top 3. Being that it's a mall, there is plenty of parking, bathrooms and space. You may have to walk a little to get to the food court but for me, it's worth it. Mom tip: Being a mom I bring my kids to the play area too!

Teaspoon is one of the best overall restaurants in Tucson…read more I've been here a few times over the last year or so. It has never disappointed in service, quality or taste. (well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food. (There were too many of us who got a $3 tapa and water. Sorry about that!) I had falafel. It was very tasty but a little overcooked. I would get it again, but not in the tapas size. I also had garlic-lemon chicken. That was fantastic. The chicken was well seasoned, tender, and in bite-size pieces. I also had hummus. They have plain, roasted red pepper, and jalapeño cilantro. I had plain (silky, not too salty) and the green jalapeño-cilantro. The green hummus had been recommended. I loved it. Just the right amount of kick to it and with a fresh taste. I would love to eat here again. The food was wonderful. The guava lemonade looked great. My iced tea was "tropical black tea" and it was just different enough to be noticeable. We started with the ABG salad that surprised me because I'm usually not a big fan of Gorgonzola, but the combination of green apple, pecan brittle, and cheese worked really well together and made for a great balance of flavors. For the pizza, we ordered the mushroom pizza and added pepperoni. The sauce was excellent I believe was some sort of a garlic/oil white sauce the mushroom portion was generous which I absolutely love, and the crust was exactly what I look for crunchy on the outside while still soft and slightly sweet inside. My only minor complaint with the toppings is that the $4 pepperoni add on felt a bit light, we only had a 2 or 3 slices per piece. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that our pizza was just slightly overcooked. The bottom was charred all the way around; wasn't burnt to the point of sending it back, but definitely left in the oven a minute or two longer than it needed to be. It wasn't busy when we visited, and it seemed like the employee rotating pizzas was a little more focused on chatting with FOH coworkers than keeping an eye on the oven. I've worked in pizza restaurants for nearly a decade, so I may be a bit more particular than most customers. Realistically, if our pizza had come out even a minute earlier, it would have been a 10/10 meal. That said, I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back. The quality is there, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future.
