This is a charming local deli Randolph should be proud to have. The staff are really friendly and they make you feel welcomed. The restaurant has some indoor seating and you can see them work in your order. I also liked the local choices for drinks and chips that are available. The grilled stacker is huge and could feed two people. You get a lot of value compared to Boston's Sam Lagrassa's for comparable quality and taste. The combination of the pastrami, corned beef, Swiss, coleslaw and Russian dressing is perfect. You'll need to figure out how to tackle this sandwich! The meat is so tender and melts in your mouth. Fresser's Deli from the moment you walk in reminds you of a cozy lunch spot. Theres a lot of wood, down to the old fashioned lunch counter with a tree design, and wooden signs directing you where to order and pay. There's a half circle bar top area as well as a few tabletops, allowing either eat in or takeout options. Food was pricey, but was justified by the amount and quality of the sandwiches. Of note, some sandwiches are available as 1/2 portions so look for those on the menu if you aren't that hungry or plan to bring some home. It's deli meats so can be salty for some, but they also come with a wide variety of other toppings. Staff were very friendly. In the Worcester area, we suffer from a dearth of good delicatessen. So, I was ecstatic to find myself in Randolph and stumble across Fresser's. They don't over-complicate the menu. It's pretty straightforward. Recognizable sandwiches, interesting salads, and they also do pick up catering. There were breakfast options, but I needed a Reuben. I had a pastrami Reuben. Holy moly. The thing is huge. And they had the smarts to put the pastrami on the grill before building the sandwich, and then grilling that. Plenty of sauerkraut. Good Russian dressing. Just the right size as far as I'm concerned. A nice half sour spear and a small cup of coleslaw. With a drink, I think I got out of there for about 23 bucks. The place isn't that big and it isn't that fancy but it's got a nice comfortable feel to it. The service was top notch. The service was also genuinely friendly. Seemed like a nice bunch of people as regulars as well. I hope to be making another visit in the near future. read more

I have been going to Fressers for close to 20 years. It is really top notch deli food, served with confidence and pride. The owner had been a chef at Union Oyster House for many years, and he knows real cooking, as well as "knock your socks off" deli. In the old days, I would get Fressers food for my entire family--my mother, a good New Yorker, declared their matzo ball soup as "delicious--nearly as good" as hers. Trust me, Jewish mothers don't usually concede so easily! The owner learned all his recipes from a nice old bubbe, whom he adored. Nearly everything is homemade from scratch, although the pastrami is from NY (as Michael once noted "I can make pastrami, and it's terrific, but the lower volume of sales here in a suburb would force us to have to charge too much). But the corned beef? Homemade and delectable! The knishes? Homemade! You get the drift! And the "grilled stackers" (essentially Reubens and similar) are enormous. Almost (but not quite) the size of the legendary sandwiches at Katzes in NY, but a lot cheaper! Excellent kraut, dynamite pickles, and (of course) homemade Russian dressing. When my mom was in a nursing home, they would pack "Jewish care packages" complete with meats, copped liver and knishes. The smile on my mom's face is still unforgettable. Although now I live further away, a trip to Fressers is like going home. read more

I can't believe I just discovered Fresser's after working in Randolph for 16 years! I knew it must be amazing based on the full parking lot and people parking on the street or nearby. When I entered, I was greeted by 2 incredibly friendly staff members. The sandwich artist took my order immediately and made great suggestions on how my Italian should be made. Love that this deli has been in Randolph for years. Classic sandwiches that have not changed over the years. The pastrami sandwich was still delicious. I Loved the lightly toasted rye bread and the coleslaw was nicely dressed. A lot of local and regular frequent this place. So it's wonderful that the staff says hello and has a casual conversation with you, even if it's your first time in a long while. I got a small tub of chicken salad for later and went to add some salt, pepper, and dill because it wasn't seasoned nearly enough and noticed some raw pieces of chicken. Since I wrote my first review of Fresser's back in 2017, I have been there many times - dozens & dozens. I've tried nearly every luncheon sandwich they have - my favorite is #19, FYI. BUT, I really have tried their breakfast menu. It so happened that I had this past week off from work, so my wife & I went for breakfast. For me: a pastrami omelette with home fries and rye toast. My wife chose the ham & cheese omelette. Together, we shared a side of corned beef hashbrowns. Oh, my! So delicious. I'm a meat lover and this really hit the spot. Cooked just right - not overdone, not chewy, but not runny either. Just perfect. The corned beef hash browns were not a let down, either - a good amount of meat among the spuds. The toast was flavorful, too, and the fruit chunks were a nice touch to balance out the flavors. I barely finished eating everything, and I can eat a lot. My wife was unable to finisher hers (which she also enjoyed). Service is friendly - the owner, Mike, remembers folks names and welcomes you every time. The rest of the staff are helpful and prompt, too. As a note, this was our first time actually sitting down to a meal inside in over a year, although we have ordered takeout for lunch during the pandemic. I'm looking forward to trying more breakfast options. read more
