I have been ordering from here for a few years now and I have never been disappointed! Everything is always so good. I do delivery and pick up orders from here and everyone is so nice and welcoming! They also go out of their way, in my eyes anyways. Tonight I ordered late and they close at 8:45, they still took my order even though it wouldn't be delivered till 8:40. Staying nearby for a regatta on the Charles River. This place was recommended by the hotel staff for some quick take out. Drove there, walked in, nice young lady taking orders. Scanned a menu and ordered some garlic bread sticks and fish and chips. It was ready within 10 or so minutes. At best, barely passable fare. The garlic bread was very poor quality. Mean spirited and vindictive. Myself and colleagues have experienced this: you raise a concern like arrived late or too early or wrong order. Next time you order online...they cancel the order and you're waiting for lunch at work it never arrives then you call "yes we cancelled it because you were rude last time". How mean. Can you imagine 8 people waiting for lunch during a limited work break window and then this happens. Don't support meanness with you business. Ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and it came with three large chicken pieces, not cut up and three pieces of lettuce. What happened to putting effort into making food. My mom ordered a chicken finger dinner. Fries were cold and chicken fingers were so flat and hard you could have broken a tooth on them. No chicken in them just breading. I've been coming here for 10 years as it's down the street from where I work. The staff is super friendly and pay attention to detail which is hard to come by in a sub shop business. Big fan of their salads, but specifically their chicken salad salad - my favorite of all time. Nowhere else I've been to compares. read more

Randolph Cafe has gone down hill. This used to be our go to place and loved supporting a local business. This was our second disappointment in the past couple of months. The pizza we ordered yesterday had a soggy crust, hardly any mushrooms, raw chopped onions, flavorless sauce, and rubbery cheese. NEVER EVER AGAIN... how in your own consciousness do you become a cook or chef with no aspirations of making meals? No shame in letting wack meals get delivered? I ordered the worst chicken Alfredo in history!! Me & my wife only ate the broccoli because the soggy chicken & pasta was horrible. Randolph Cafe is a solid standby. Food is fresh, if not inspired. I generally opt for their sandwiches, which are reliable and affordable. Good cheesesteaks, although I am a fan of their Greek Salad Wrap with chicken, and their excellent meatball sandwiches. Sadly, it has become less attractive and clean during Covid; I am counting on that improving in the future! read more

I called in to place my order and was able to pick my order up within 15 minutes. This place was quick and easy. I ordered a chicken cutlet and a side of spicy fries. The fries were not spicy at all, but still good and crispy just how I like them. The chicken cutlet was pretty big and well worth it, however it was a bit dry. read more

The absolute WORSE PLACE IN THE WORLD to get a chicken parm pasta. So many things wrong with this order. I used to order from here with no problems but it's been getting worse and worse. * ordered a chicken parm with specific request, they said they can do it - crispy chicken on top of the cheese and sauce - what I got? SOGGY chicken... with NO cheese. Oh and no flavor. * the delivery took 1 hour and 10 minutes. * called them back and explained all of that, the girl's excuse was that that's just how they make the pasta... if that's the case, she could have just said they can't take my request when I first asked. Anyways, they said they can make a new one if I return the 1st one. That means 2 hours before I can eat. Because they couldnt make it right the first time. * told them it's fine they said they will make sure the next time and I said it's fine I wont be ordering from there again and the girl laughed. * barely ate half of it, had a bad stomach ache an hour after eating it. It was really not worth it. Cant get the food right and then is rude and disrespectful about it when confronted. $12 to learn my lesson with these people. I've always loved Randolph Cafe, and the owners are amazing, but something happened to their calzones..... now I'm not posting this to be negative but I'm hoping their calzones can return to normal. I came here for buffalo chicken calzones because they were a real calzone unlike most pizza shops nowadays. The crust was actually filled with stuff and then baked. It was bigger, it was cheaper, and it tasted much better. I bought them on a weekly basis. Now, they do the pizza shop thing that most pizza shops do to ruin calzones: they dont stuff the dough all the way, so its completely open on top, and then they smother the top in cheese. Yes, on the outside. I hate when pizza shops do this, and Randolph Cafe was the last place around to have a good, real calzone. Not anymore. Now its just a taller pizza. Its not the same. They also changed their blue cheese, from the good kind that goes with buffalo chicken, to the dressing kind that has that rotten taste that everyone hates. Deliciously addictive pizza dough. Toppings need to be worked on (seems as though one slice gets all the deliciousness and the rest is scarce). I received the completely wrong order and while I can completely understand that mistakes happen, it was the way the manager handled the situation that drove me to write a poor review. Originally she had assured me that I'd be credited on my next order. Out of the $30 screw up, I only received a measly $8 discount. Upon addressing this, she then assured me another $15 credit. Fair enough, I didn't plan on penny pinching over $6 since I know they're trying to run a business. My next order came to $11 to which the manager asked "WERE EVEN NOW, RIGHT?!" In a loud/rude tone. The food was bland, cold and all the cheese on my calzone was slopped over to one side. Beyond cheap, very bad customer service and extremely bland food during even moderately busy hours. This is our go to place for lunch or dinner. The food and service are always great. The quality of food is above what you typically expect at a pizza place. You can not find a better grilled chicken. The cheeseburger subs are one of our favorites. I do wish they would add grilled fish instead of fried but, there is plenty more to choose from. The owner and staff are amazing. They are so involved in their community, it's refreshing. Most business owners don't get too involved if they don't live in the same town but, not here. They are wonderful people. We're not ordering from this place anymore. We order often enough from here and the last few months, but they've been bad lately. 3 different times now, they've either forgotten a drink or clearly put the wrong drink in the bag. The first time, I let it slide. The 2nd time (the very next time), I made them aware and brought me the correct drink. Now, we're at the 3rd time and the driver said someone would come with the drink in 3-4 minutes....its been about 40 minutes now. At first, my fiancé called and they basically said "oh well". I called back and she offered to bring the $2 refund which is a bad business move. Is it a huge deal?? No, but it's the principle. Who wants to eat their meal and then get their drink 40 mins later which has turned into not at all?? Not to mention, they keep changing their food vendors to vendors that don't taste good! I ordered delivery. The customer service was pretty good. But the food was not worth the money at all. I ordered two small pizza they weren't anything special. I ordered two dinners fish and chips and a gyro. They skimped on bland tasting fries the gyro had too much onions and the fish was bland. The cole slaw tasted like raw fish.
