I stopped by here a number of Sundays ago, Father's Day actually, with my family for our morning coffee. Every weekend we try to hit up a new local coffee shop, and on this morning we happened to be fishing at Glade Run when I found Freya Jane's nearby. This bakery is located in what appears to be a small development of townhomes with a handful of storefronts. The inside has a large ordering area with plenty of baked goods displayed behind glass, along with an equally spacious seating area. They also had a number of card games available, and my wife and I enjoyed playing one with our 4.5-year-old twins. On this morning I decided to go with an iced brown sugar cinnamon latte while my wife chose an iced pistachio latte. My daughter picked out a sprinkle sugar cookie, my son chose a blueberry Pop-Tart, and my wife and I split a crème brûlée-filled croissant. I'll start with the baked goods, which were excellent. The croissant was buttery and flaky, and you could clearly see the lamination throughout it. The filling reminded me of a cream puff with its rich, creamy texture and flavor. To complete the crème brûlée theme, it had large pieces of caramelized sugar on top that added a satisfying crunch and really made the pastry live up to its name. My son's blueberry Pop-Tart also had a great flavor with plenty of blueberry filling inside, and my daughter loved her sprinkle sugar cookie. As far as the baked goods were concerned, they were easily five stars. The coffee was good, although it didn't quite reach the same level as the pastries. My latte had a nice balance between the brown sugar and cinnamon syrup and the espresso. Thankfully the coffee wasn't overpowered by the flavoring, and while it was certainly enjoyable, it wasn't quite as memorable as the baked goods. My wife also enjoyed her latte, especially the pistachio flavor. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My family loved the baked goods, and we all thought the coffee was good as well. read more

If you live anywhere near Mars Pa, get yourself to Freya Jane's! Went today for the best breakfast sandwiches. I am gluten free, so I didn't get to try the croissant, but the hubs loved his. Said it was rich, light, and airy. BUT, the gluten free roll was incredible. I didn't feel the I was shortchanged at all. We prefer a more robust coffee roast, but the coffee was nicely hot and not a deterrent to our return. Be advised, seats were at a premium; the place was packed and we could understand why. There were lots of sweet things to pick from and they had some gfree items too. Everything was wonderful. read more

This was our second visit to Freya Jane's, and we love it here! We stopped in for a coffee and a latte, while our kids enjoyed a blueberry muffin and a sugar cookie. Everything was delicious. The coffee was great, and the baked goods were fresh and flavorful. They also have plenty of other menu items that we'll be sure to try next time. You place your order at the register, receive a number, then find a seat while they bring your food and drinks to the table. The space is decorated so cute with a cozy fireplace. My husband and I came here for breakfast. The employees promptly and kindly served us. Some indoor seating was available, so we ate there. Acquaint little bakery Café. Did not have an opportunity to eat any other breakfast foods outside of the pastries. This café, you order your food and then go find your seat. Sometimes it's a little difficult and hard with others saving table spaces for people who are just getting in the door. Pastries were good. I would have to say the pop tarts were extremely delicious. This is such an adorable cafe in Valencia -- the menu offers way more than your average coffee shop as well -- TONS of baked goods, but a full menu of breakfast sandwiches, waffles, mini pancakes, avocado croissant toasts and more. Also some salads and sandwiches for lunch. There's plenty of seating if you decide to stay or they'll package things up to go. I had a croissant egg sandwich with fluffy scrambled eggs, Brie and a sun-dried tomato spread, along with a tiramisu iced latte. Cookies r mixed..they give you gluten free and regular mixed together and the gluten cookies that I did not order r horrible..they were out of regular and I asked if any in back and they gave me the gluten..not ok ..also got the stuffed croissant 2x 1st time magnificent! Then this past weekend horrible no cream at all in it basically all croissant dry! Very overpriced ..the actual food is not alot very little on a croissant sandwich.. very disappointed for how much they charge . read more

the atmosphere is very warm and the music was very chill, i could've stayed in there for a long time. well kept, clean, and nice furniture as well. the staff was amazing and kind to everyone who walked in. i got my latte in just a few minutes. the scone had a nice crumbly texture you'd expect and a true faint vanilla bean flavor. the cappuccino muffin was surprisingly moist and delicious with the crunchy top. the chocolate chip cookie exceeded my expectations, buttery and just the right amount of sweetness. my latte was pretty standard, nothing to write home about but it wasn't bad either. overall a great experience and would come back again. read more

This new bakery is a star in the making -- it just opened this weekend right outside of Mars and has everything you want in a bakery. Great coffee, fresh baked goods and wonderful vibes. We left with cinnamon rolls, biscotti, muffins, pancakes and breakfast sandwiches to bring to a family event and everything was loved by the group. Everyone there was so kind and admitted they are still figuring it all out, but I can imagine that will only take a few weeks before they are running at full speed. read more

This local gem has been open for a little while now. I've held off posting a review to see how they settled in, but they just keep getting better. From day one, they have knocked it out of the park and they continue to wow me with each new visit. You are always greeted with a big smile and amazing customer service regardless of who is working their counter. I've tried several pastries and different menu items and each has been delicious and truly unique spin on some classics. A welcoming and comfortable dining room is well taken care of and always clean ready for guests. Fabulous cafe! Good seats for studying and just hanging out. Food and drinks all very reasonably priced, very good brunch and lunch menu. Their pastries are IMPRESSIVE with some of the best gluten free options I've had. Service is always polite and quick and they will serve food up until 2:30. Leave one take one book shelf, well kept bathrooms, just a very nice spot. Never empty but I have yet to see it so busy that it's overwhelming, I've come multiple times a week since I found out about it! read more
