Love that they have a cafe and a full wine/cocktail selection as well, plus the space is very cute and cozy to do some work, or grab a drink with a friend. Very solid spot for some food, coffee, or a quick snack. Surprised by how many mixed reviews there are. I got to try their portobello press and Oreo fudge bar. I will say as a side note, I also ordered the banana bread as a part of this takeout order, but they did not initially include it. I waited a bit and they did end up serving it after the fact, which was nice of them, and it was actually quite good, both texture and flavor. What I did get to try, though was quite good. The portobello press was filled with vegetables. I would have liked if it was warmer when served or had a bit of grill on it, but still, flavorful and tasty. Had some peppers, mushrooms, and what I think to be pesto sauce. The Oreo fudge bar was also very solid, a nice size and pretty decent price. Real Oreo pieces, very chocolate heavy. Known very well for their breakfast, brunch and lunch offerings, I was very surprised and pleased to experience Bistro Night at Generoasta. The menu was comprehensive putting forth options for lite bites, salads, soups, flatbreads, as well as seafood, beef, chicken and pasta entrees. And don't even get me started on the desserts-one word: EXQUISITE! Beer, wine, mixed drinks are all available. We were a party of six people and had excellent service. Our server was competent, knowledgeable and friendly. We sat in the lovely patio area featuring comfortable seating, shade, beautiful plants and greenery and privacy. My favorite part about this place is the ambiance - spacious, modern modern wood & metal interior is so warm and inviting for a coffeeshop. They had a nice selection of baked treats and coffees. I'd ordered their "Coffee of the Day" which was a chocolate flavored roast. Awesome bold taste. I absolutely love this coffee shop. Every Sunday I try to test out a new coffee shop, and this week I chose Generoasta. This spot as a whole is a win. Their coffee is flavorful, they food looks delicious, they have an outdoor patio, as well as a decent beer and wine selection. I ordered an Iced Banana Split Latte, which was a spring special. It was made very quickly even though it was busy. This drink was definitely very tasty but only had a chocolate flavor. It was tough finding a seat, but once the patio is open, it should not be as hard. I did not order any food or ice cream, but I noticed that many other people did. I wish I could copy+paste this Generoasta every few miles so I could enjoy it more often! For a cafe/coffee house, they sure do have a lot of options. I've since tasted the Mediterranean Chicken Wrap, Arizona Wrap, and Motherlode Wrap - could not have asked for better fuel after a long workout on any occasion. The drinks and desserts are chalk full of fun and unique flavor combinations. I love how bright, open, and spacious it is inside, and the outdoor seating is a huge bonus too, as I imagine it gets busy. The staff is friendly and fast. Generoasta is my favorite lunch spot. I work nearby so I come down here most weekdays because it is the perfect chill spot to relax and unwind in the middle of a busy day. I typically get the southwestern chicken rice bowl and it is absolutely fantastic. Couldn't recommend it more. As a stark, raving carnivore, I couldn't be happier (there's bacon in there!!). Also the service here is excellent, the staff are as cheerful and friendly as they are good at what they do. Plus, good tunes, a fire pit for the winter and outdoor seating in the summer. I was in the area for work and I was looking for a coffee shop close to my office. This one came up. It was only a half a mile away. Service was good. Everybody seem very nice. The coffee was not the greatest. I asked for decaf and they gave me regular coffee. I haven't tried the tea yet. It's actually for my wife so we'll see what she says on that. I got a cannoli from them and I do love my pastries. But it taste like nothing. I understand people want gluten-free and sugar-free but when I get a pastry, it should be sweet. I bid into that and I felt like I was eating a ice cream cone with yogurt in the middle. Not a fan of it. I'm giving them three out of five stars because it wasn't the greatest. read more

I love the concept of Generoasta Cafe! By day they are a coffee shop and by afternoon/evening they are a wine bar. Also they serve ice cream! While in town, I stopped in every morning for coffee. I tried an iced latte, the Neapolitan, and the espresso panna conna. Also I did try a breakfast wrap, but I was not blown away. There is plenty of room to sit and there are a variety of seating options (low chairs, high tables, booth, outdoor seating, loungers). I really enjoyed having my coffee here! The ambiance is cozy, there's plenty of room, it was very clean, and the employees were pleasant. I loved how many options they have here (coffee, various breakfast items, wine, ice cream, and even a protein powder and pre workout supplement which I assume ties into the fact that a previous football player owns the place. My husband and I both really enjoyed the coffee. The 3 stars is because the açaí bowl is not an actual acai bowl. I actually searched the area and was surprised that almost no one offers this. The places that did, did not have great reviews. Anyway, the bowl is strawberry, banana, and açaí juice blended together, which is not what an açaí bowl is. With that said it certainly wasn't bad for a smoothie (??) bowl. I wouldn't get it again though. I'll be back for the coffee and would love to try something else from the breakfast menu! I did not have dinner but the sparkling brut wine from Argentina was very good, and the carrot cake was yummy. Took home some to go desserts & a Purple Rain iced lavender latte. I stopped here for a latte and a breakfast sandwich while on a road trip. It is located off 79 which was an easy stop; however, the space is very cute and I would've liked to spend more time there. The coffee itself was yummy, and the croissant sandwich had the right ratio of sausage, egg, and cheese. I also tried the pecan sticky bun which was moist and tasty. The menu was also extensive and I was intrigued by their frozen drinks and creative coffee beverages. The ambiance is lovely, with a perfect mix of lounge and workstations. There is even a small indoor fire pit! They also have a bar with outlets and reading lights, and several booths and tables. I've been here a few times because it is a solid popular coffee house located in Warrendale. There's lots of parking available during the day in this plaza conveniently located just off both I-79 and Route 19. This visit, I tried the food. I ordered the portabella mushroom grilled panini and it was good. I wouldn't come here because of the food but if you find yourself here and hungry, there are options. Generoasta gets good reviews, so I was surprised to have a bad meal here. When we walked in, instead of a nice coffee aroma, the smell of burnt food hit us immediately. It seems they need to clean their kitchen and need better ventilation because the whole restaurant was smoky from burnt food. You could actually see the smoke, like a layer of fog. We got the house blend coffee and it was super weak, almost no flavor at all. It was like water with a splash of coffee. And even worse, the coffee mugs they served us were dirty. We ordered a breakfast bowl, but they sent us the wrong thing. And what they sent us was terribly overcooked eggs and cold sausage. We also ordered avocado toast, but the toast was undercooked and soggy. Fortunately they were super nice about it. They re-cooked the breakfast bowl and it actually came out really good the second time. We also got the cheese tortilla soup and it was clear that they sloshed the soup into the bowl and then microwaved it to get it hot, because the spilt soup was burnt to the bowl. Chef Ramsey would be furious!!! The atmosphere is pretty cozy, except for the open ceiling with exposed ducts that feels more like a warehouse than a coffee house. Sure that's just my opinion, but there's no arguing that rhe exposed duct work is filthy. And It was gross to look at. Gives you the feeling that the whole restaurant is dirty. Everybody has a bad day, so I'll try this place again in a couple weeks to see if it's any better. Hopefully they clean. Overall the people who work here were very nice and friendly. read more

I've only been to this place twice and both times our order was done wrong and the servers have an attitude when asked to correct. Today's order was four items of which three were wrong. And when the server brought the order back out, the plate bounced based on how she threw it on the table. The interesting part is I validated the order before I paid for it and the cashier took the order correctly, but then it wasn't made right. Not sure why this is an issue with them. And I shouldn't be sneered at for telling them to correct something they have done wrong. Not a friendly experience. read more
