Get ready for a big breakfast! I had a hard time choosing because there were so many good options. I got the potato pancakes and they did not disappoint. Next time I will get the cinnamon roll pancakes, they looked delicious. The servers were all very sweet and took care of my 4 y.o. Nephew. They were also Johnny-on-the-spot when it came to coffee refills. Lastly, Santa was there! It was a joy to see him on a chair in the back smiling and keeping the kids excited. Rustic restaurant with a wide selection of breakfast items. Our first visit here was for breakfast. I ordered a sausage and cheese omelet with hash browns. The sausage was tasty but there was hardly any cheese. I believe this has been the first cheese omelet I've had that I couldn't taste any actual cheese. I could see it inside, but it was completely tasteless. I was bummed. The hubby had scrambled with cheese and toast and said it was decent. Service was was fast and friendly. This place was recommended to me. I took my dad and his friend here for breakfast on a Friday around 9:00 AM. It wasn't terribly busy. They ordered omelets, I ordered eggs and toast. It took 45 minutes for the food to come out and in the meantime, three parties that came in after us had their food before us, one finished before we got ours. While the food was good, it definitely wasn't worth the 45 minute wait. If you're in the area, I would look for some place else to eat. This place is only 5 minutes from my house, and I see no need to go back. read more

I haven't been to Reichold's since Covid started. It was always my favorite breakfast place since it was in Gibsonia before moving to Butler. I stopped for a takeout lunch and was sadly disappointed. I had a bacon cheeseburger that had raw bacon on it after peeling off the bacon the cheese was negligible as it followed the bacon. It was nice and hot as were the fries. I requested ketchup and received one small Heinz packet. I saw the sign that they wanted to sell the restaurant. Maybe if the food returns to their prior quality it will be purchased by someone who wants to keep it in the community. read more

I came here with my family for a quick breakfast. We loved the cozy, Christmas-year-round vibe that welcomed us into the restaurant. The waitstaff was also very nice and quick to bus a table for us. The food is really where it's at, though. I was craving a good pancake, and they delivered. It doesn't matter what kind you get. They are buttery, fluffy, and everything a pancake should be. In my opinion, Reichhold's has the best pancakes in Butler. The sausage and coffee were also really good. I appreciated the variety of options on the menu. They had raisin toast, grits, and creative variations on the classic breakfast, as well as offering pancake, waffle, and biscuit sandwiches. I can't wait to come back! read more

This is the kind of place where you'll find the friendly regulars who love a great meal, but also love the social aspect of a neighborhood diner! First time there, glad we gave it a shot. Really stuck with basic stuff but everyone was happy. I had never heard of this place until a friend told me about it. So we went there this past weekend for breakfast. What a find! Nothing fancy -- decor or food. Just outstanding homemade homestyle food! Excellent. I ate the biggest pancake I've ever seen and it was outstanding. Nice crispy bacon and a delicious potato pancake. My friend's corned beef hash topped with a fried egg, with sausage and hash browns were great. Even the coffee is really good. Great home cooking. Very good prices. Food served hot. This is a typical Western PA type place. Located on Route 8, just south of Butler. We stopped by for a late lunch. The interior is moderately clean and service is very friendly. Although they have something that resembles a bar in the front, they do not serve any alcohol. BJ got a burger and fries. I got a turkey sandwich with coleslaw on wheat served with potato chips. The food is not fabulous. But it is good and the prices are great. read more

We were told about this little gem and finally decided to try it for breakfast. The servers were extremely friendly, fast and made us feel welcomed like family or friends. My coffee was cold and being that not many people drink decaf I get it that it sits there. I asked our server to heat it in the microwave and she refused and made me a fresh pot right away. This place is great. A big breath of fresh air compared to Country Kitchen where the cook and I think Owner doesn't care to honor his own open at 5 AM sign on the front door. The food here in my experience has always been better than CK even at it's worse. Kim is a fabulous cook and Megan is a great waitress. I drink a lot of dew or tea whatever I am having and my glass is almost always full. Like as if they got a ninja hiding behind the counter refilling drinks when you're not looking. I highly recommend the flat jacks when Kim is cooking. She is also the only one that cooks bacon to the perfect balance of crispy and chewy...not too much of either. Totally amazing. Best pancakes and bacon around. Hard to mess up either of these but it's also tricky to get them this good too. My heart goes out to you guys as I see some of these negative reviews. What a nice find. This is not the place to go if you are light-headed from hunger or in a hurry to get out the door. Be prepared to spend some time. Clearly Reichhold's is what it is. Maybe three or four eras of decor which seem to work. Nothing is forced kitch. The place has a very positive energy with everyone (except me) being a regular. Riley and Mary had complete control of the front of the house. I had a "light" breakfast of a flap jack and a bowl of grits. The flap jack was tasty with a hint of citrus. A good bowl of creamy grits takes the right type of grits and a little skill. For a former southerner these were some of the finest this side of the Mason Dixon line. If I lived closer I'd be here every weekend for a bowl. read more

Not sure how you screw up breakfast food but this place managed to on every level. Service was inattentive. I ordered eggs bacon and home fries. After a 30+ minute wait my food arrived-ice cold, not luke warm but ice cold. Their famous home fries were just sliced potatoes-no seasoning. My bad though , because upon viewing the menu in more detail if you wanted your food seasoned it was an extra 50cents. I wonder how much extra it would have cost if i wanted my food served hot. On top of that none of the staff or cooks were wearing masks or gloves during this pandemic. Upon presentation of my bill i noticed my small orange juice was $5.50, my breakfast was only $7.50. I asked my waitress if i was overcharged and she said that was right---maybe they made me a screwdriver and i just didn't notice the vodka in my juice. This place is only open for breakfast and lunch but the food is just some great homemade grub. The owners also own their own farm so expect to get some farm fresh food. The Worst!! Our first time and will not be returning! There were only 5 tables with people when we arrived. It was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. The service was pretty fast however the the food was cold and greasy. Wife had milk and gravy and biscuits. There was no glass for the milk, just in a plastic bottle. There was no gravy, lots of sausage and so heavily peppered that was all I could taste. The biscuits were hard, half was not edible. I had milk, OJ, toast, eggs, home fries, and bacon. Again no glasses for the drinks. The larger potatoes were not completely cooked, the eggs were cold and there was so much butter on the toast that the toast was a soggy mess. The bacon was crisp (best part of the meal). We had no clue where to pay, server was in another room, so we left it on the table. read more

Sunday morning, with my grandmother and I. Ladies were very busy. I forgot about the local Sunday morning lifestyle! Started with warm tea and coffee, ice cold waters, and a warmed up chocolate chip cookie. (I'm such a pain. Cookies are only good warm tho) I got the western omelet with potatoes and whole wheat bread. This is a meal for a hearty breakfast. Not a chinsey little omelet!!! The egg was a bit greasy on the outside, but the inside was filled with finely diced vegetables and meats. The potatoes required flavour coersion from hot-sauce, but were yummy. My grandmother went with the french toast and a side of bacon. It looked yummy, dusted very lightly in powdered sugar, and the bacon was crisp and delicious. We ended up sharing (sort of) a flat-jack, which is like a very condensed pancake. Not fluffy, but almost buttery-delicious. Her french toast was about two pieces of thick bread, and didn't quite fill her up, and I ended up taking the better half of my omelet home! It was. HUGE. read more
