We were looking to upgrade our kitchen sink and faucet, but our problem was that our sink cutout was custom. New sinks wouldn't fit without making a few cuts to our countertop. The plumbers we contacted were either really busy or really expensive (meaning they wouldn't want to do it unless it's really worth their time). His rate was competitive and it was a flat rate for the job. Through our correspondence, Elijah even downloaded the cutout template of the new sink to give us an estimate how much would be cut and what his rate would be for making the cut. On the day of the job, he came in prepared and he was very respectful of our time and space. We provided our new sink and faucet to install, and he recommended that we should upgrade our garbage disposal too since it was pretty old. He made this whole process really easy and we are enjoying our new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. He is a jack of all trades, and we look forward to contacting him again for future jobs. He bid me a price for the project and we agreed. The project was originally projected to be completed in 1 day, turned out to be 4 days. The team of men he sent did not know what they were doing, I would often overhear them as they would talk amongst themselves about not knowing what they were doing and making calls periodically to get instructions, when I communicated this to him he responded with my materials were difficult to work with and he requested more money. When I responded that he reviewed all my materials prior to starting the project and that he never mentioned this prior he retracted and said it wasn't a problem. It is now 9 months later and my floors are bubbling and coming up. I contacted Richie and sent pictures to him and he responded with the job was underbid and it's not his responsibility. He proceeded to say that this job was done when he first started his business and that he didn't personally install the floors. I pointed out whether he personally did the install himself or his team, it's still HIS business, there should be accountability and customer service. He told me he was so busy these days with work that a bad review from me would not matter to him and that he knows he made an error but not his problem to fix saying i did not pay for warranty. He never mentioned me needing to purchase warranty for his work, how convenient be mentions it now. Richie is not a honest businessman. I warn anyone working with him or considering working with him. He is the business owner and contractor for his business, he quoted me HIMSELF and made the bid to complete my project. As a business person, if you underbid a project you don't purposely complete a job INCORRECTLY. You also don't blame the customer for your error in underbidding.
