He let me buy all the materials myself and very kindly handled the bigger items like vent pipes for FREE. Sam's quote is just the labor, so you are not charged a markup on your quote for any material cost. There were a few surprises along the way, and he took care of the extra work without charging extra. He also demoed the kitchen tiles nicely and even did some extra paint work and tile grout for free. He makes sure the project will be done well! Sam is honest and practical. He suggested I wait to install a kitchen vent until a future renovation. I still went ahead with it, but it was nice to hear someone not trying to upsell me.
