I want to applaud the team at Jointer Self Storage, they really knock themselves out to be helpful. Garrett and Matt have been available, knowledgeable, and helpful at every turn. They are always available during the posted hours, which is uncommon at the other places I have used, and have the tools and supplies to solve any of my problems. Each unit was very clean and ready to use. They even emailed and called my first month to remind me that my rent had not been paid, BEFORE a late fee was assessed. Good location but be careful when renting their moving van. Although the agreement is renting per day, checkout time they write on contract is meaningless. When returning the van, I'm told they expected it back before the day was over. It's not a 24 hour period like UHaul and other rental companies. I was charged 3 days even though I kept it overnight. read more

Completely rat infested. I called and filed complaints with pictures the first week of April. It's now May 7 th. No response to my calls emails and pictures. No response for my coverage. I went into the office to find out the status and they are saying they will only cover up to $500 for rat damage. Wtf. I pay $318 a month for a large unit. The stroller/car seat system alone was $300. All our area rugs and camping tents are covered in rat piss and shit. The only reason we rented the unit was because we lost everything in a house fire on Larkflower on 12/10/2024. What was put in storage was keepsakes and items from our garage that weren't burned. We have officially lost everything we own after the damage the rats did. Why was I paying for 5k coverage with the rent insurance to get $500. These people know they have a rat infestation and intentionally changed the limits in Their insurance policy. That bullshit about no brake ins is irrelevant when peoples belongings are being destroyed by ur pest problem. DO MOR RENT HERE. Don't put anything of value in this place. read more

Joiner Parkway Self Storage had great customer service, clean facility and reasonable rates. My grandmother had to be relocated quickly to Lincoln to live with my mother due to her declining health and Joiner Self Storage was able to accommodate us with what we needed to store her items. They were great from the time we needed the storage facility to when we no longer needed it. Be aware of rats!!! Our furniture and rugs were infested with rat excrement, one theater room leader chair chewed up badly and two dinning room chairs chewed up beyond repair. Mattresses were full of rat poop and smelled horrible. Management placed rat traps throughout the property but didn't inform us of the problem. We noticed the traps but thought that inside the unit is safe because there are no holes for rats to get in but we were totally wrong. We reported our damages to management but they did not take any responsibility and blamed us for not buying insurance. I thought that insurance is in case of fire or any such disaster so didn't think that it was likely for that to happen and didn't buy it. Didn't even think of rats in a place where they have people store expensive furniture, rugs, property, etc. Very bad experience !!! read more

My dad has been with these guys from around 2004 I think, through today. Since day 1. Recently I did a big move across states and my dad convinced me to get a storage at the same location. It was a great choice for sure. I've had a few hiccups here and there and they do work with me to solve any issues. Just as they will work with you. Michael went above and beyond to make my move as easy as possible!! From the moment I walked in he had all the paperwork organized and ready to go..the unit was cleaned and he allowed me to use several appliance dollys. He even let me use the moving van a few hours longer than normal because he knew I was in a time crunch to get out of my home!! I highly recommend this storage place!!! If you're thinking about choosing them for your storage needs, BEWARE!!!!!!! Management is shortsighted, argumentative, and obstinate about their contradictory policies. When I moved in over a year ago, I was charged a prorated amount for the month + also paid a full month in advance for the next month. It was a big payment. After 12 months my rent was increased by 7%. I don't know why, it's storage space! It's not an apartment building that needs maintenance and upkeep. But I paid the increase without argument. 4 days before I'm moving my things out I finally got someone on the phone, who told me that although they have a 7-day policy to quit I am still required to pay a full month of rent because they do not accept partial payments. They take no heed that I've been trying to get in contact with someone for more than 30 days, including 2 trips to the office during business hours and multiple phone calls. The manager told me it was my fault I hadn't reached them. Seriously???? They want 7-days notice AND a full month of rent. They have threatened to double lock my unit because I made a partial, pro rated payment instead of paying for a full month I won't use. This begs the question, why did I pay a partial month's payment when I moved in, but now that I'm moving out I owe for a full month? Also, what's the point of a 7-day notice to quit the space if three more weeks of payment are due? Does that make sense to anyone? I always pay my full rent on the due date, even when I had charges I didn't understand on my bill (those inquiry phone calls were never returned and the fees I paid but didn't understand were never reimbursed). I have tried in many different ways to reach them to let them know that I would be leaving early. 1) They don't return phone calls (The manager, Michael, had the audacity to insist that he did return phone calls, even though in over a year he has never returned even one of mine). 2) They don't have an email address where I can email them to ask questions and confirm details. 3) I've stopped by the office during business hours and no one is in there. I'm an ideal, proactive, considerate and reasonable tenant with an entire lifetime of working within the rules. This management team is blatantly, gleefully, ignorantly, self righteously F***ing with me and staunchly refusing to work with me on a solution. read more

I would unfortunately recommend finding another storage unit. The staff is friendly, but after renting for almost a year and not visiting the unit for 3 months, I returned to move out of a unit full of rat feces and urine. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. My throw pillows were destroyed and boxes with clothing climbed into and damaged. Very disappointed by the lack of disclosure. read more

Pros: Friendly Staff Long hours Cons: High Priced Rats - They definitely have a problem. I only stored my stuff for one week and I already have rat droppings all over our boxes. I was a customer of Joiner PKWY Storage from 2006 to Nov 30, 2016. During that time my wife was very ill and she passed away 08/03/2015. I did not visit my space for about 4 or 5 years because of my wife's health and death. I am well into my 70s and partly disabled. On November 30, 2016, I hired two men to assist me in taking all of the 10 fix 25 ft unit. Items stored included 3 electronic organs, a Baldwin professional upright piano, 2 desks and various other furniture. The Baldwin piano and Hammond organ were seriously damaged by the heat and dampness in that unit. When I rented the unit, I was not offered an insurance policy that would cover damage to my stored possessions. My insurance company could not cover any damage because the damage was not sudden, but occurred over time. The piano had a blistered finish that was literally falling off. It was stored with a cover and midway along one wall. the organs were all covered as well. The piano must be refinished and the Hammond organ was much worse. The finish was wrinkled and faded. While neither instrument was new, all items were in good condition when they were trusted to this facility. In addition to their failure to protect all my goods while I spent thousands of dollars in storage fees, my unit also had a rodent nest and one of my movers saw a live rat or large mouse. I did not see the rodent, but there was a nest under a bookshelf the size of a dinner plate and there was rodent feces everywhere. This company refuses to cover any of the loss that they are responsible for. The manager, Michael is new and seems to be very professional and helpful, however the company is without integrity in my opinion. I would advise anyone who needs a storage facility to go elsewhere. This place advertised one price on the internet and then tried to charge us a higher price the same day when we went there to rent a storage unit. When we pointed out the discrepancy, they were very rude and unprofessional and would not give us the advertised price. Do not reward this illegal and offensive behavior by giving your business to these scumbags. The units themselves were also very dirty and poorly maintained. We found a superior alternative nearby with a much lower price (the same as advertised!), and we're glad we ended up going with another storage place. read more
