We chose this place because of the good reviews on yelp. It was the first and only place we checked to rent a navy blue tux for our wedding on March 10. When we came in, the wait time was a bit long but the service was good. Everyone there seemed very nice and friendly. The tux rental was ready when they said it would be. We picked it up and everything looked and fit great. The whole process was easy. Too bad they didn't have many navy blue tux rental options. Just one at the store and we liked that one style so we went with it. Wish they had more options. Quality of the tux was good. Shoes were good too. The whole package was pretty good. read more

With May being a busy month, a week ago my son went to rent a tuxedo and the experience was a pleasant one. The manager Douglas Garcia and his staff Ainslee, Vincent and Edrick were friendly, attentive to detail and passionate to helping customers. Working a special event once a year at the end of February, I have been provided a tux from Friar Tux each year. Every year I find the Friar Tux associates to be very helpful and friendly. This year I decided to go to Northridge and pick up my tux instead of at the venue. I see a lot of great reviews about this store- so when it came time to rent a suit for my husband we selected Friar Tux in Northridge. We had a bad experience. We were supposed to get two types of slacks- one with belt loops, one without. We only got the one without. It fit ok- not great. When I mentioned this to the staff- they acted like 'well if it fits ok that's fine.' The hem was weird. The amount of fabric used was over 5 inches- but when we put them on they were too short. I have never seen pants with such a long/thick hem. We asked for it to be lowered. They did a horrible job. The hem was only stitched halfway around. We didn't notice this until we were at our event and when my husband put on the pants on the unhemmed part caught his heel and he simply could not wear the pants. If you choose to rent from this place please try everything on multiple times. Check their work. We assumed that once the guy said the pants were hemmed that the job was done properly. I still can't get over how long the hem on these pants is/was. I guess this is what happens when you rent a suit. read more

This store has amazing customer service. I had an urgent need for a tux- fast- and walked in minutes before closing. Brittany patiently and expertly set me up with a rush order. BUT, when the tux was ready for pickup, the warehouse had sent the WRONG SUIT. When I told Doug, the manager, what a bind this would put me with alterations, he DROVE TO ANAHEIM and delivered the suit to my HOUSE. I'm sure I got lucky and things lined up for me, but few businesses would even THINK to offer a solution like that. Everyone there was so incredibly nice. And they were correct as I received numerous compliments on the day of the wedding. A stand up company that stands behind their product. Through no fault of there's, there was an issue with my 83 year old dad, who became very ill the night of the wedding and was unable to make the wedding. I had already paid for and picked up his tux for him. I returned it after the affair, obviously none of it was used and company decided to refund our money. Not too many companies are willing to go the distance and make it right these days. I was not expecting to get a refund as I know they had to alter everything for him. I've rented from Friars before and everything went smoothly. This time around, I came in on a Monday for a rental for an event on a Friday (9/21/18). I came in on Thursday for a fitting and found the coat a little too big. Saleslady told me to come in Friday around 1pm for the final fit. I figured it's alright since I have more than enough time since the event is at 4pm. I came in Friday around 12:30 and understandably, my suit wasn't there yet. Salesperson told me to come back at 1PM. I came back at 1:30, and my rental was still not there. Guy told me it'll be another 15mins. 15 mins past 2, and it's still wasn't available. I told the guy that I have an event at 4pm and I still have to shower and get ready. I was getting very upset at this point. Finally, it came around 245pm. Needless to say, I was late for my event. I am very disappointed by the lack of professionalism and care that was provided to me. I will never do business here again. Men's Wearhouse may be a better choice for me in the future. I went in there pretty much the last minute, looking for a suit for my son. The woman that assisted us was very nice and helped my son with what he wanted to a T. The suit was elegant and fit him well. We returned the suit a few days later, however he left his wallet in it. I called them the day we discovered it missing. The supervisor and rep found the wallet and were quick to assist us. Definitely will go back again. The price was reasonable and the representatives were very nice and helpful. read more
