Wow ! Am I furious or what? So I took a few items to the closet trading company branch in Westlake village for resell. One of them was a new 400$ red leather coat . Some items sold but the pricey leather coat didn't. I kept checking weekly to see the status. Suddenly yesterday the item disappeared off their site and my account. I called today and that's when I was taken aback. According to the sales lady they keep it for three months and then if you don't ask for it in writing at least a week before the three months expire then the item is literally theirs to keep. They don't even send you an e mail or text reminder . Just poof - gone! apparently they put it in small letters as part of their contract when you first consign but never actually tell these details to you in person. Please be aware that if you sell something on consignment at this place and request a check payment when your items sells, it takes at least two months for you to receive payment. They sold a Burberry handbag that I had on consignment at the Woodland Hills location on 12/3/24. Corporate finally cut a check for payment on 1/10/25 that won't be mailed until 1/21/25. This is ridiculous and I don't understand why it should take this long to give customers their cut of the sale. I want to also add that their portal system is worthless. The only information it provides is the description of your item and when it was sold. read more

This is a really nice consignment store! I strongly suggest Marie Kondoing your life getting rid of anything that doesn't spark joy. Head on down to the closet trading Company and see how much money you can make. You're never going to get the money that you paid but you never know ! We all have that really super expensive something that just sitting there collecting dust .Time for somebody else to enjoy it. Make sure the condition of your items are gently used. Pretty much perfect condition . I'm all about repurposing! I love the idea of getting vintage designer stuff. read more
