I can't believe it... not a single 5-star review for the BEST wings I've ever had in my whole life. I live in California but grew up in Dayton and no wings anywhere ever come close. I love the BREADED-style of buffalo wing along with the Little Kicker and Kicker sauce. Never tasted anything like that sauce anywhere. Wings or Chicken Chunks are the way to go. Order then "wet" so you get some extra sauce. The celery and carrots with blue cheese is amazing. Their blue cheese dressing is superb... way better than so many restaurants' thin, watered-down excuse for blue cheese dressing. Blue cheese is a big deal if you're having seriously hot buffalo wings. Top it off with an order of curly fries, jalapeno bottle tops, and a cold draft beer and I'm in heaven for a night. I always have to hit this place up when I visit. And the mostly female server staff is always nice, fast, and helpful. It does sometimes get a little busy and service and cook times can suffer, but it's worth it. It's obviously good if they've opened a dozen locations and business is always jamming. read more

I don't know what it is about this place but EVERY time we go there, we get sick. The first time we thought maybe it was just a fluke and not the food. After the second time, we were pretty certain it was the food. The bathrooms are disgusting. My fiancé said the men's restroom was also gross and not clean. The table next to us was getting into a fight and yelling cuss words (with small children around) and the establishment let it continue without intervening at all. Some people had way too much to drink but we're still being served alcohol. Service isn't too bad, our waitress was prompt but also appeared frustrating and annoyed to be serving us. read more

The first time I ate at this location, it was terribly slow and an overall bad experience. I should have learned my lesson. Ate there a second time with my girlfriend. We ordered an appetizer and it never came. Ohh, here it comes with our wings! When I questioned the waitress, she said "Sorry, I didn't know when you wanted the appetizer" and then walked away. It's a loud place, which I don't really mind. The food is mediocre. The service/kitchen is terrible. I wish we had a Toot's restaurant in this area, as they put Frickers to shame. read more

We have been going to Fricks for 20+ years... hung in there thro management changes. This week, an 18 year vet bartender's day was taken because of a dollar short... yes a dollar! And then she was told she couldn't have a second job, although she never signed a non-compete agreement ( and she has a 2nd job for the last 2 years)... the kitchen manager and the GM told her this. My family and and I literally came in to see her, bc of regardless of how shitty the kitchen was (and it SUCKS) we always had a great time with her. my family will not be back bc Fricks, 1st liability bc no non-compete contract... and they Suck... the kitchen is constantly messing up, management plays high school. Chicken wings are probably one of my favorite foods. I order a 10pc and I asked for them to be well done. Needless to say some of the wings were undercooked and unseasoned. It tasted like they used some old wings and tried to re-cook them and did a poor job of it. read more

Passing through Freemont, OH...decided to try it! Its basically an Applebees/TGIF wannabe. It was Thursday and they had a steak special. My wife ordered it...she wanted medium rare. It turned out "cold-steel" rare...not kiddin' about the coldness inside the steak. Sent it back...it was still rare....MEH! I had the chicken and pork sliders. Buns were mashed...frozen boneless chicken from Walmart. And was that a tablespoon of bbq pork portion? I should've had my wife's awesome tuna back at the hotel. At least the IPA was delish. This is truly a great place to hang out and have some good times and watch some sports. As an restaurant they provide great food and have some some good tasting wings. Personally what I think really makes this place one worth coming back to is how nice and down to earth everyone is. Today we had Alex as our waitress and she did a great job of taking care of us. They always seem to be crowded and it's pretty much always louder than average, what can you expect from a pretty popular sports bar I suppose? Service always seems to be slow though! Three things you should get here: wings (not the boneless stuff), bottle caps, and cheap domestic beer. That's it. *period* I'll preface by saying I love breaded wings. The sweet chilli sauce they have is terrific and the wings are always large and crispy. As an appetizer I normally get the bottle caps which are sliced, battered and deep fried (imagine that we're at a bar!) jalapeños. Holy moly these things are phenomenal! Crispy with the perfect-to-me amount of heat. Served with your choice of sauce. 40 cent wings are Tuesdays, and then they have various specials the other nights. This isn't a Ruth's Chris so I wouldn't recommend the $5 steak nights and the chunks here are plain and pathetic in size. You're better off with McNuggets from McDs... I came here with a big group of people. Don't get me wrong I completely understand if you're say a bunch of people at one time you're gonna be busy. Our waitress barely checked in on us. Now I am originally from the Buffalo, NY area. I understand that not a lot of places out of area are going to be good with their wings. But I will tell you, the wings here are crap compared. The breading is really gooey in a way. My sister ordered two different sauces for 20 wings thinking she would get 10 once sauce 10 the other. The waitress didn't clarify that they don't do that, she didn't even advise that the two sauces were going to be mixed and didn't ask if it was okay. If you're a busy restaurant don't sit all the people at the same time, that is why there are waits sometimes when you go into restaurants. Very bad with time management. The manager was very nice though I would like to say because we had an issue with the nachos and he took it of the bill. I would NOT recommend this place if it is busy or if you want some good wings. I would say that Frickers is pretty frickin' good! It's wings, which it's known for are done a few different ways and are done with a variety if sauces to choose from. Good bar, great deals, and great food. Although I've only had the wings, pretzel bites, and mini corn dogs everything else on the menu looks delicious. Upon arrival Sunday afternoon at 12:30pm, our family of 4 seated ourselves and I took my son to the restroom. We entered the restroom and looked at each other in horror of the smell....decaying vomit, diarrhea, feces odors all combined. Clearly festering remnants on the floor and on obscene toilets. We returned to our table and picked up the sticky menus from a table in the same condition. At this point, we were approached by a waitress who took our drink orders. We waited for 10 minutes and no drinks arrived. I found my mind on repeat with the notion of that nasty bathroom, concluding it must match the hygiene of the kitchen. I would like to tell you this was absolutely the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. It started alright with the waitress getting our drink order and our drinks to us within the first 5 minutes of sitting down. We placed our dinner order: broiled chicken sandwich with green beans, kids corn dogs and an order of chunks with bbq kicker. Nothing exciting and for a late Sunday before 5, this order should have been to us with in 15 minutes, 20 minutes tops. 35 minutes later, we still hadn't received our food nor had we seen a waitress in at least 15. I went to the bar to ask them to ring out our drinks because we were leaving. She went to get a manager, who was locked in the "manager closet" on the phone and when he heard there was a customer that was upset told whoever was on the phone he had to go deal with a customer. I told him I was upset and want to just pay for our drinks (tall Budweiser and a corona) and leave because we still hadn't received our food. He called me sweetheart, which is a completely inappropriate response to a customer, especially an upset customer and wanted to know if I wanted him to check on our food. NO that should have happened 15 minutes ago, by the server, not when a customer is complaining because they hadn't received their food. I had waited tables for 10 years, so I know how long it should take from greeting to invoice, a fact that I pointed out to the manager. He also mocked me to the servers that were at the front register and we overheard one of them comment "then let the bitch come up here and show us how to run the restaurant". First off, to call a customer a bitch loud enough for other people to hear it, should be a write up. Secondly, I COULD show her how to run a restaurant because I was on the opening team for several Darden restaurants, and as you know, only the best of the staff is on an opening team. I will NEVER go to another Frickers, EVER. This is a restaurant my husband and I used to frequent regularly but have watched it decline in service standards over the years. The servers need to be trained in more than just how to wear tight jean shorts and I wouldn't let the manager run a McDonalds. I think you should know if this is a model of the Frickers franchise you should be embarrassed. If I was a secret shopper, I would have failed this restaurant. read more

I wasn't expecting how thorough the safety protocols were at this Frickers! I felt very safe to eat and drink at this restaurant. I have been in many places that seem to be acting like this virus is gone when of course it isn't yet. I am always proud of Ohioans and Daytonians that are being diligent and respectful in order to keep us all safe and I will definitely support those businesses. Fricker's has always been one of my favorite places to eat! Yesterday I 0/6/19 we went to hav the Fricking chicken pizza. I was with my family we ordered it took an hour and 35 minutes to get our food fries were cold some of the chicken was cold and I took half my pizza home all of the pieces of chicken on the top of the pizza, was rib meat no breast mea, which I've never experienced before at Frickers it was very dry little sauce! I don't know if I should start with the service or the food because they both sucked . The food was horrible. I never had fried chicken or boneless chicken aka (chicken strip pieces) that had no taste. No season at all , not even salt and pepper and on top of that it wasn't even crispy and I asked for everything well done. Now on to the service, honestly I don't think my waiter felt comfortable servicing my table , a black family . I could be wrong though but if I see you going to others tables around me consistently and you only come to mines three times and I've been there for about two hours, its a problem. The waitresses are definitely easy on the eyes, but even though the restaurant was fairly empty on a Sunday afternoon/evening when I last went, the service was kinda slow. Fricker's has some of the best buffalo chicken in Dayton. The wings are great but the Fricken chicken chunks are better. The beer is cold and cheap.
