I placed an online order. I parked in the designated spot and called the number. No answer. I went in. I went to the register counter where I saw my order in a bag on a shelf. There were five girls standing in a circle by the bar talking and laughing. A couple of them turned and saw me and went back to talking. There were other staff walking around. No one said anything to me. I arrived at 11:30 when they said they'd bring my order to my car. After parking, calling, going inside, watching the staff just standing around talking and sipping drinks, at 11:35 I went behind the counter and grabbed my order. One of the circle girls yelled, "Hey, is that even yours?" I replied, "Oh, now you see me?" And left. (You pay for the order beforehand) I've heard some negative feedback from people about the flavor and quality of the chicken, but it was right down the street so I thought I'd give them a chance. The chicken was absolutely flavorless. The chicken nor the breading had any flavor. Ok. Maybe they rely on their sauce for flavor. I got the HOT and the DONKEY (which is I think one step below the hottest, I learned from actual good places not to get the hottest sauce). Both were like Wendy's ghost pepper lame hot level. We LOVE roosters. I have been here a few times and it has been positive experience each time. My last visit was for my Birthday dinner and I ordered the fish sandwich with curly fries. The sandwich was tasty and good size. Fries were good. Our server was attentive to our needs and checked on us often. It was a great time. The restaurant has a feel of dinner amongst friends with TVs everywhere and people knowing other people at tables. Just a fun environment! You gotta try Roosters in Xenia...well worth it! I don't know if the waiter was new or not, or if he just hit his vape pen too hard. He didn't know what was on the menu that we were trying to order, then he completely messed up every order at our table, resulting in one wrap needing to be sent back because we ordered it with no tomato. When we got the new wrap that one had extra salt on it(most likely mad kitchen staff). We also had a kids meal that had the wrong side and both of the kids meals were missing the second side. And we had to remind him we needed multiple times about the second sides and missing celery, My fiancé never got his drink refilled and he had forgotten to give the couple beside us the ranch for their salad. So do not send your messed up order back to the kitchen because you will get it back with extra salt. When paying the bill I went up to the register to pay because I didn't trust this guy to make change for 100 and she gave me two extra dollars back in change then she should have. This was a very upsetting memorable experience, We will never eat here again. They have a ton of TV's to watch the game so it's perfect for a sports junkie! They have quite a bit of beers on draft and cider which was great for me! We are here frequently. When it is just my husband and I we tend to sit at the bar. If I bring our kiddos, we typically sit at a table in front of the bar area. The girls at the hostess stand are hit or Miss BUT we never have an issue at the bar. They are on top of it from the point we sit down. They wipe the bar down even if they have already done it. They give us menus though they probably know what we are ordering. I appreciate their rotating Ace flavor. I cannot drink hops due to an allergy but Angry Orchard is too sweet. They almost always have an Ace on tap and it's good. We typically order an appetizer or two and then stick to the wings which are fresh chicken, not frozen. We have order pizza and sandwiches, they are also good. The salads are good too but I usually get my dressing on the side and ask for light cheese. We go to watch NFL and college football games. We follow the Raiders (hubby, I'm a die hard Bengal) that are out of market and we can always catch the games there. It gets very loud in the dining room especially during games, but tends to be quieter when the place isn't full. In our opinion, it's one of the better Roosters in town. read more

This is a local restaurant for me and I have eaten here a number of times in the last three years. I have the hope that it will one day be a good place to eat but they let me down every single time; last night was no exception. I guess I need to cure my insanity and just forget this place exists and hope that it simply just dies because no one wants to eat there any more. I walk in and I'm told I can sit anywhere I like. I choose a booth up front by the bar area. I sat down, and my table was not wiped down. It was dirty and so was the floor all around it. I waited for almost ten minutes and no one came so I got up and got a rag myself and wiped down my own table and dried it off. I left a bunch a dirty napkins right on the table. The server left them there for the entire time; even when I started piling other debris on it, she just left it like it meant nothing. The place was kind of busy but not anywhere near capacity. So the server may have to work a bit but should not have been overwhelmed by any means. The server took a long time to bring a simple fork and napkins to the table and I had to special request a knife during dinner. I guess you have to show ID and be over 21 to get this kind of utensil. I ordered my food which was not very good. First, I ordered the soft pretzels and what they bring me is some pretzel loaf sticks. That is not what the menu says and that is not what I was expecting either. I then ordered the chicken burrito and it was DROWNED in cheese. Obviously, they were trying to cover the bad food with orange colored plastic and hoping you wouldn't notice. It straight up was nasty and I recommend you skip that one. I asked for a cup of water to start the meal. Near the end of the meal my cup was almost empty and the server comes up and asks me if I would like a refill. Darling, this literally cost you nothing, why the hell are you asking if I want a refill. Just bring a fresh cup of water when you see it getting low. I was ignored mostly the entire time and the server was off in la la land not giving a single 2 sh!ts about anything. EXCEPT, when it came to paying the bill, she was Johnny on the spot with that job. Her milking pail was ready and waiting for the big tip she was expecting for doing the wonderful bang up of job of serving. I understand how hard this job is and I usually tip no matter what, but in this case, I just couldn't do it. It was so terrible and the experience was so bad that I honestly will not be going back to this location ever again. I gave her a ZERO. The one and only thing a restaurant has is its reputation. Once you have a bad one, it really cannot be fixed. This place is now on my list of classic sh!t-holes to never visit again. Stopped in last night to scratch the hot wing itch. Hadn't done Roosters in a while. We ordered the Nachos Deluxe to start. These were okay... nothing special, not hateful. It's hard to mess up nachos. Then 10 traditional medium-sauced wings, ordered "wet" or extra saucy. The wings came out in a disgusting half-inch pool of flavorless butter, oil, and grease. I was wanting extra sauce, not extra fry oil. The "medium" sauce had no heat or flavor at all. The wings came with a flavorless side of sauce that had so much butter/grease in it, it started coagulating. I had to mix in some Rooster's table sauce just to get some flavor. Upon asking the server about the pool of grease she said "that's the way they come." This place is a heart attack on a plate. The blue-cheese dressing for the celery tasted like sour cream with pieces of blue cheese in it. All strange and very mediocre. The best part was the cinnamon poppers ordered for dessert. The one thing I'm not a fan of is the fact that I did not see any Central State insignia anywhere (I am a student), and I expect local restaurants to have something at least acknowledging us. But, the Korean+Honey BBQ mix was great, I highly recommend trying it. Some pieces of chicken were undercooked, both the traditional and boneless. I am not a fan of the boneless wings, and the person I was with did not finish them because they thought they were nasty, saying they were highly undercooked. The family came here after arriving in Beavercreek because the adolescent boys wanted wings. Well, we were not disappointed! This is a review for their Wilmington location since I could not find it on Yelp. I stopped by here after work and saw that they had curbside pickup available once you order from your car. Given the current conditions, I decided that would be the safest option and love that they had it! Their menu has a ton of items I wanted to try, and I finally decided to go with their Cajun chicken sandwich and a side of curly fries. The Cajun chicken sandwich was so fragrant, I could smell it a mile a way! Overall, the sandwich was delicious and by far one of my favorite chicken sandwiches. It did not feel too greasy and was filling. The fries were well seasoned, and they gave a good amount. My meal came out to $9 which was really reasonable. It did take a while for them to come out with food, but there were a ton of cars in the parking lot which was expected. Highly recommend this place! read more

I don't eat in chains if I can avoid them at all. Tonight was a first date, and my date recommended this place, so I obliged. I got the Fried Chicken Salad. You can have the chicken in any of their wing sauces. I chose the sweet Thai sauce. Wow! The salad was large and fresh and came with 3 huge pieces of chicken, all coated in this delicious sweet, spicy wing sauce. They say they are famous for their wings but it was by far the worst thing we had. The buffalo sauce is more butter than regular buffalo sauce. The blue cheese is substantially chunky. The salads?? Oh yes! The red bacon and blue is a signature with a tangy garlicky dressing that will have you licking the bowl! While I find the food and the service at Rooster's great, I was deeply disappointed tonight. There with my family, as we boxed up leftovers, my daughter found a bug in her salad. When we brought it to the attention of management they said "what would you like us to do?" My daughter spoke up and suggested we not pay for her salad. Since I was with my girls and didn't care to be a jerk, I acquiesced. But, I feel like they should've immediately offered to take off half the bill or more... and said they would speak with their produce company.
