How the mighty mighty have fallen. My first trip to five guys 15 years ago was epic. The burger was fresh and the fries were every so juicy unlike anything I've ever tasted. The interior of the restaurant even showcased all the accolades they've earned over the years and it felt special to see the employees cook everything without a wall to show they hav e nothing to hide... just fresh ingredients cooked right. However the landscape of burgers have changed the competition has caught up and other burger chains are using fresh beef and revamping their french fry recipe. (smash burger, Frisch's. Culver's, Wendy's...) Simply put: What they're offering isn't special anymore especially when a meal for FIFTY DOLLARS FOR TWO PEOPLE for the same menu that never introduces a new item. Pro tip: you can grill the same burger using fresh beef and add all the ingredients at half the cost. read more

We ordered for pick up. I was pleasantly surprised with my meal. I ordered a bacon cheese hot dog, it was really good. The way they grill it adds so much flavor. We ordered for the whole family, so a bunch of cheeseburgers, and a BLT. Everyone was pleased with their sandwiches. The fries were actually pretty good even though they were just warm by the time we got home. I'll definitely have to sit down for a meal one day, because there fries seem like they would be really good hot and fresh. The pick up process was simple. The restaurant itself was very noisy. Which is why it gets 4 stars. I don't think I would enjoy sitting there to eat an entire meal. The music was really loud for the small space, it was busy with the staff calling out names and numbers. I gave up red meat for years until I craved a hamburger recently and tried Five Guys. I was hooked and so was my little boy. The food is always fresh, made to order and as tasty as a burger can be in my opinion. My only complaint is they did forget about my order sitting on the shelf tonight and by time they gave it to me my bread was mush due to the tomatoes sitting for an extended time. My husband asked them to remake it and they did although they didn't seem happy about it. Otherwise the staff has been nice enough and they try to keep the place clean. read more

Located in the same plaza as Walmart on Fairfield Road, this Five Guys literally is next door to a Jenny Craig. I can't help but wonder if this was done on purpose or not. It made me want to order less at Five Guys just thinking about Jenny watching me next door! Ha! Since we arrived in the early evening, it was not crowded at all. I would imagine their lunch hour to be more packed since people from the nearby base would come to eat here. For this visit, we ordered 2 little hamburgers with everything and a large fries to share. The meal came out quickly and the fries were piping hot which is what I love! The hamburger was tasty and the fries were perfectly crispy. A large order of fries was definitely more than enough for 2 people to share! If you are feeling extra hungry, they offer complimentary peanuts to eat as well. Customer service seems great from curbside delivery aspect, so I would assume it's the same way in the store. My cousin told me about this place. She guaranteed me I would love their burgers if I tried one. Is that a bet? You challenging me? I'll take that bet, but when you loose, well, you'll be a looser. Oh crap, you win. Their menu is basic. It's broken down into two groups. The Mini group (one patty on your burger) and the other group (two patties). If you don't specify mini, then you get a double. Pretty simple huh. All burgers come with "everything." Mustard, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, onion, pickles. Unless you ask for the "the works" which includes; bbq sauce, jalapeños, peperchini's, sautéed onions and mushrooms. Of course, I got the works and it was good and gone in about 20 seconds. Their fries are also a taste of beauty. Over filled in the container, the rest in the paper bag. All while dripping with grease. Kinda like the old Micky D's fries use to be, but much better. A bacon burger that was soggy. The fries were described on the site as crispy (even double cooked) and they are straight up soft. That cost way too much to come out worse than Burger King! The one star is for the shakes. The shakes are the best, hands down. My husband and I stopped in there for lunch on a Saturday. Food was good, restaurant is clean, employees were nice. However, a couple days later I realized they charged us twice for our meal. I called three separate times, even making sure to avoid calling during lunch, asking them to reverse one of the charges. Each time, they agreed to reverse the charge and said that the manager was taking care of it, but nothing ever happened. I finally had to ask my bank to intervene to get my money back. "Would you like a side of profanity with that amazing burger?" Yes, you read that right. In front of my 5 year old, yelled by their classy employee behind the counter as he was goofing off in front of the female employees since it was a slow night apparently and they hadn't placed a mature manager on duty. I kid you not, he was obviously retelling a story, throwing punches into the air and jumping around getting a bit rowdy when he suddenly screamed "F*** Ya'll!" loud enough for the entire dining room hear, clear to the back where we were sitting, causing everyone to stop and turn their heads in alarm. It wasn't immediately apparent if he was a disgruntled employee and we should be getting the heck out of there or if he was just being unprofessional. Thank goodness it was just the latter! Of course none of the employees noticed their customer's were watching; they were all gathered around him listening eagerly like the teenagers that they were. Where the manager was in all of this I couldn't even begin to guess, other than to hope there wasn't one as opposed to thinking he/she was merely a child themselves and thought this kind of behavior was funny. It wasn't funny, my child heard it loud and clear from the very back of the restaurant, and no amount of juicy deliciousness makes that kind of behavior acceptable in my book. I was truly excited to review Five Guys, and was let down in the worst way possible. As it turned out, they clearly make the best burger in town, but it comes at a cost. Whether or not it is worth it to you to patronize a location that blatantly has leadership issues such as this that might teach your kids to swear is up to you. It certainly left me with a sour taste in my mouth if you know what I mean! If you don't have kids and don't mind that kind of behavior, you will love this place! The food deserves it's fame, all things considered. They truly make a mean burger, the best I've ever had! The burger was perfectly cooked, exactly to my specifications, the patty was of perfect thickness, tender juicy and fresh. The bun was as pillowy soft as a bun will ever be, just glorious! The fries were out of this world, medium thickness, deep golden brown, tender and crunchy in all the right places plus they serve malt vinegar. They have two sizes of burger, a double and a single. All toppings are free! Free peanuts to snack on, great hot dogs for kids provided they aren't served up with the f-word. They even list the source of their current bag of potatoes for their freshly cut fries. I mean, wow! Tragic, no? If this hadn't happened, this review would have been a solid 5 star write up. If I feel they have dealt with their leadership issues, I will gladly re-review at a later date of my choosing and update. How have I never been here before? This is totally my kind of joint. For one I just like the style of the place, it's what I imagine the burger joints of old look like. I wouldn't personally know because I'm still *fairly* young. But the decor is nice and simple, they just want to impress you with their food, they don't need the flashy ambiance. And the food does impress. I found the little burger, to not be that little..it's about standard size for a restaurant burger. I can only imagine how big the regular burger is. There are many different varieties of toppings you can choose as well, all free! And the fries! wow. I just got the small order and it was enough to feed a family of 4! and they were great, fresh without a lot of salt or crap. Although they were kinda greasy...the bag they come in is evidence of that. Also they use potatoes from around the area, they even had a board up to tell you where they got their potatoes for the day. Also they have free peanuts just chillin around for you to eat while you wait. Most definitely a win in my book. read more

Really poor service. Went in to pick up an online order, Im guessing because of all the partitions, the employees kept saying they couldn't hear me so I raised my voice and then they said I was yelling and wouldn't deliver my food. If I speak in a normal voice they say they can't hear me then when raise my voice they deny service. They wouldn't give me a refund receipt so I reported them to my credit card company and reversed the charge on them. They have good food but really bad service. read more

Service is good. Food comes out super fast. Hamburgers and fries are great. They are a bit pricey but the burgers are huge and great quality and the amount of fries they put in your bag is insane! They serve shakes now. I'm not sure when that started. They are ok. Would I say these are the most amazing burgers I've ever had? No. But I do give 5 Guys high marks for the value they give in the form of a quick, inexpensive, and still pretty tasty burger. This is the first one that I have been to in Ohio and it left a lot to be desired. The burgers were not done and they only gave me a normal side of fries like you would get from McDonalds. Every other Five Guys that I have been to, have served delicious burgers well done and enough fries to kill a horse. That is part of going to Five Guys. This place Beavercreek needs to change their sign and theme. They are NOT a Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Solid 5 guys spot if you're familiar with this burger chain. They have a reputation for super greasy burgers but I've found the burgers here aren't too bad. You'll find it just like other five guys with free peanuts and the usual menu + milkshakes. Staff are awesome, friendly and get you your order pretty fast. Three stars is pretty good for someplace I've never actually eaten. Unless you count those fries I stole from my boyfriend. And I don't. They don't have calories either. Let's face it. My boyfriend can eat. A lot. So stopping by here was one of those times where he was famished and I wasn't hungry. But I was so impressed with the service here that i felt it warranted a review. We went close to closing time and instead of dragging (like I always did when I worked at the cafe at closing time!) the staff was laughing, joking, and dancing along with the music. They were talking to us, including us in their jokes and conversations and making us feel welcome for being there. I knew nothing about the food here. I'm not a bit burgers and fries girl, but I tried one of the fries and it was delicious. Luckily, the guy gave us all the rest of the fries in the basket (benefit of closing time food runs) and they were hot and potatoey. None of this tasteless mush that you need ketchup for to give it some taste. You didn't need any ketchup with them. But I ate them with mayonnaise anyway =) Next time I'll try the burgers and hopefully I can bump this up to 4 or 5 stars. Three stars just for the excellent service! read more

Went to Five Guys yesterday for lunch and as usual, I was happy, happy, happy! Food was cooked perfectly to order. Our burgers were hot, the buns were fresh and the fries were AWESOME! Warning, never eat at order of fries by yourself, there are just too many of them. Always take someone with you to share them. It was a Tuesday lunch, but it was a little emptier than I had expected, but that was ok with us as we had a small group. The restaurant was pretty well cleaned and neat. I've been to this establishment many times and enjoy eating here.. First off, they don't pre-cook burgers and fries. They don't drop the fries until the burger is ready. So, yes.. Its going to take longer to get your food. You get your order piping hot and fresh.. Not from under a heat lamp or in a warmer. That is why I always place an internet order (they also have android and iphone apps) before showing up. Even with internet orders, they don't drop fries in oil until you show up. They have a very simple menu.. Burgers, hot dogs, fries, soda. They offer a great number of toppings on the burgers (I've never had a hot dog there) including A-1 sauce.. My favorite. Fries are small or large, and regular or cajun.. I recommend the cajun fries. A large is good sized, but when they fill your bag, they throw fries in on top of what they put in the container. They are always generous with the extra fries. When you get the bacon cheeseburger, you can taste the bacon.. I've never had an incorrect order, and the crew there has always been friendly and courteous. Yes they're a little more expensive than the usual fast food burger joints but not by much and you get a much better quality product. In addition, they also have open boxes of roasted, salted peanuts which is nice to munch on while waiting for your order. No, this is not 'healthy' food by any stretch but its tasty and reasonably priced. I highly recommend Five Guys. read more

This is a 'better than average' burger. It has delicious taste, and is relatively quick, without being a 'fast food' joint. Their burgers are tasty and their fries are solid. They rate above any standard "fast food" like McDonald's and Wendy's, Burger King. I'm not blown away by their food, but it's definitely better than average. The guys working the kitchen were so lively and happy to be there and made the experience enjoyable while you wait. It works as a "build your own burger" type of situation except all of the toppings are free, the only thing you pay for is how many patties are on your burger. I got a regular cheeseburger (two patties), a little fry (which isn't little, it's just enough), and a drink which all cost me around $11. Five Guys is one of the best burger joints around! Service is always pretty quick and the food is ALWAYS HOT...ALWAYS! The little burger is just that, a little burger. The beef patties are not very thick which makes them all the better, but the double is the way to go! They aren't stingy with the fries either! A regular order is enough for 2 people to eat, certainly don't make the mistake we did, as we each ordered our own fries! The large order of fries fed my wife & I and our 2 smaller children.
