Three of stopped her before the Mud Hens game to eat and get some drinks. The waitress (should have gotten her name) was spot on, very quick and on top of things and pleasant to talk with. Other servers also acknowledged us while we were there. Two of us ordered traditional wings and sides. It didn't take long considering how busy they were. To my shock the food was fresh and hot. I've been to other locations were it warm, just not hot. After we ate we ended up staying there and watched part of the game from inside the restaurant. I don't typically associate this type of place as a possible five star review, but I was kind of blown away. Stopped in several hours before a Mud Hens game to avoid the rush and got a little but of everything; chicken chunks in mild sauce, boneless wings w/ Nashville Hot and Bourbon Molasses on the side, brewhouse fries and Buffalo chicken dip. The chicken has a super light and crisp breading, but was perfectly juicy and tender on the inside. I was actually blown away by how good they were as I wasn't expecting much and the bourbon molasses dipping sauce put it over the top. That stuff was fantastic. Chunks, dip and fries were good as well, but the boneless wings were the winners for me hands down. Service was fast, and the beers were cheap. We even stopped back in after the game since everything else in Toledo shuts down at 10pm and had a few more beers and chicken sliders in the bourbon molasses and it was a really nice way to end the night. We asked for some compensation at the end of our meal for the timing of the food to which the server said "no" like it was a joke. Ridiculous service. Went on a Saturday night. Gave our name and number, we were second on the waiting list and asked how long it would take but the hostess were unsure so we waited outside as it was busy. We were NEVER called for 30+ min (but saw people just sit themselves) so we went inside to ask if we were up soon, hostess were very rude/unfriendly and we were asked not to move any further in the restaurant. We ended up sitting outside, although there were overhead heaters it was still 40-50F degrees and was quite cold. Service was slow, food was decent. Will not come back to this location again. The wrap i ordered was by far the worst wrap i've ever had and i've had a lot of wraps. i think the wrap was $16 and that's all you got. No chips or fries or cold slaw. Fricker's pretends to be a sports bar with chicken wings and big screen TVs, but this is just a front to hide the fact that it is a food destination. Seriously. Stay with me ... Residents of Dayton, OH -- where Fricker's was founded -- remember a local chain of restaurants by the name of Parkmoor Chicken from the 1950's and 1960's. The tradition continued in the 70's and 80's with the same recipe thanks to Phil Neibert who owned restaurants with the name Hail and Hearty. The recipe is also available at the Hasty Tasty, though they are certainly not the last Dayton restaurant to claim knowledge of this tightly held recipe. On March 11, 2009, Jeff Carter, a VP of Fricker's, announced that he had acquired the recipe several years ago from one of the original owners. Despite the fact that Parkmoor chicken is now available at Fricker's there are plenty of forums still trying to crack the recipe or buy a copy from Fricker's. You can get Parkmoor Chicken at Fricker's in Toledo, but only on Sunday. For the "original" Parkmoor chicken you must request actual pieces, not tenders, though either would do. They looks good, but the shape led me to believe the mat was frozen. Tom my first bite and the texture was HORRIBLE. Usually with burgers, you can see the texture of the beef. This was just...weird and almost tough! Then the taste. The only thing I can compare it to is the "flame broiled" taste Burger King burgers have only stronger. It tasted fake and almost like way too much liquid smoke or something. I ate 1 slider and took a bite of another and couldn't do it anymore. I had a pit in the bottom of my stomach that i couldn't force myself to have another bite. Service was slow ( in the middle of the day with only 3 other tables there).
