Covid review: you order at the display (where all the baked goods are), staff all wearing masks. You go to tables that are spaced apart - buzzer when food is ready, they provide the silverwhere, you bus your own plates. We got the bagel lox and chicken parm type thing sandwich. Food came quick. Bagel lox was incredible, huge portion, savory, peas complement well, as good as any I've had. The chicken sandwich thin and crispy, bread toasted, good balance of sauce but not too soggy. Portions were large, prices were great (9-10 for most sandwiches), it has earned it's great reptuation

The Gem of all hidden Gems This cafe has so much to offer and the food is top notch with a variety of flavors. In-house made treats, breads, pastries, bagels and much more!! The salt bagels which are my favorite and hard to find are perfect with the lox. They also have the coolest party room upstairs and I can't wait to book a party there. And last but not least hands down best Bloody Marys on the east coast!!

Super cute spot for breakfast - we had their bagel with lox and a plate with eggs, potato pancake, toast. Honestly the star of the breakfast was the toast - made fresh in-house, really awesome stuff. The bagel with lox was solid, bagel was really great. Potato pancake had some delicious seasoning and fried to perfection. Also tried their pumpkin pie latte because #fall, which was great. Dog friendly patio outside with water bowls and plenty of space. Only two complaints - the cream cheese for the bagel/lox was layered super thick on each side, had to deconstruct and scrape some off so that I wasn't eating pure cream cheese in each bite - music on the patio outside was blaring Michael Buble-esque tracks at 7:30AM, somewhat hard to have a quiet conversation over coffee

Great little cafe lunch spot! We finished getting massages at a nearby spa and happy we decided to come here for lunch. Our meals were delicious, fresh and baked goods were a bonus.

My first impression of Frida's was good, the food looked tasty and they had a nice selection. I really can't complain about anything to be honest. I ordered a healthy chicken sandwich that had a balsamic spread, pretty tasty. I ordered the broccoli quish for my daughter. The potatoes inside of it could have been cut smaller and the dish could had been salted a bit more, but it's healthy so, yeah lol. Great establishment, military discount, and I definitely want to go back.

One of the most unique cafes I've been to in recent memories. From the Ground Up, is located deep inside a 55+ senior living townhouse community. It was a little tricky to find driving through the different buildings in the complex. Once we figured it out, we were greated with a very large dining area that was super clean with big windows and plenty of natural light. They have a few cases of baked goods and coffee, as well as weekly specials. One look at the menu and I knew my order. Shakshuka (traditionally African or Middle Eastern) is a dish of eggs poached in a spiced tomato sauce with onions, peppers, garlic, chickpeas, and kale served with bread to soak up that wonderful red sauce and egg yolk. At $14, this was a steal. The Rueben and fries were pretty standard and my iced latte was decent. Finished things off with a chocolate chip cookie skillet topped with vanilla ice cream. Had plenty of leftovers to bring home. They do a lot of catering and use the cafe as a home base for their 2 food trucks. The chef is a CIA grad. Seems with the 100s of townhouses, they have a built in customer base. They offer some pretty standard stuff like paninis, waffles, omelettes, and burgers. Next time, I want to try the shepherds pie, fish and chips, or chicken and waffles. #highland #fromthegroundupcafe #shakshuka #coffee #reuben #hveats #hvfoodies #eater #igeats #ulster #hudsonvalley #ulstereateriesunited #cookieskillet #ulstereateriesunfiltered #cafe #townhouses @above_weddings

After we walked in one of the waitresses informed us that we can sit wherever we want. I instantly felt like I was inconveniencing her with my presence by the way she said it. Didn't take it personal just yet. What appeared to be the hostess came over a few minutes after we sat down and handed us menus that were very dirty. I looked at my husband and said I am ready to walk out of this place bc I am starving and it looks like they are too short staffed right now which is understandably out of a businesses control sometimes. But wait, instead of the waitress coming to our table to bring water or ask us if we would like a drink, she went to another table with a man and a child that she obviously knew well, and started eating their french fries and talking. That's when we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. So unprofessional. That couldn't wait? I hate to leave a review like this, but if I was the owner of this business, I would not want someone like that working for me, representing what seems to be a great place.

They have a short tap list on a chalk board over the bar area but a massive bottle and can list. Truly a beer enthusiast paradise. Prices vary but pretty much run $6-$9 per beer. Outdoor, Indoor and bar seating available, and the option to seat yourself. The vibes are perfectly set, cozy interior and chilled out tunes. Servers are fast and always kind. Definitely my new go to. Signed, The Happy Hour Huntress

Upon first entering, the "shoppe" ( it gave off the vibe like I need to spell it that way) had ample seating, ample customer space,, good lighting for display, and was very clean. Apologies in advance...we forgot to stop eating and take pictures of the food. Suffice to say that whatever I describe next is worth the culinary experience. I ordered the Matcha Iced Tea (OMG ) with a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. I believe that even the bread was made on site. When it came out it was HUGE. I had to share it with my friend. (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) My friend ordered a hot Dirty Chai ( ZERO COMPLAINTS). Our food order was taken and brought to us by very pleasant and professional staff. Thumbs up I will return, even if I have to make this be a weekend routine stop.
