    Never returning

So this was my first time coming to Orange County Bagels and I can say it will be my last. The service is terrible. Anything I asked, I got a roll of the eyes and a deep sigh as if my order was an inconvenience to them. I felt like my business was not wanted. I was very polite but still received a major attitude from grandpa and son (both employees). Not sure if my skin color or my friendliness turned them off but I even wrote on the receipt that the service was rude and the man (son) thanked us for the compliment. The rudest experience ever. Next time my business will go elsewhere. As for the food, the taste is not worth the rudeness.

When they first opened OC Bagel was pretty good. The level of quality and service was about on par with the Goshen location. However in the past year all of that has gone out the window. Out of the dozens of orders I placed maybe a handful were correct. It's hard to understand why it's so hard to follow directions. Have gotten bagels burned to a crisp when I asked for not toasted. Have gotten a bagel with so little cream cheese I had to get a magnifying glass to find it. I want to patronize them because they're local and the bagels themselves are pretty good but the inability to complete a simple order correctly is mind boggling.

Finally a new bagel place in Walden. I went their opening weekend at 9:30am and the line was out the door! So instead of waiting I came back later after running a few errands. I don't know why I was shocked to find almost all their bagels were gone! But still I was able to order 4 for the family. The wait was crazy long but it was their second day in business so that's to be expected! Just shows the need for this place in town. One of the guys behind the counter who I assume was either the manager or owner was very nice, apologized multiple times for the delay and even offered me a soda. My kids weren't too crazy over their blueberry cream cheese because to them it tasted like regular with just a purple color to it but my green onion was fine. Besides that no complaints. Will be back for sure. Glad to have them around and not have to go to Montgomery just for a bagel in the mornings.

Always friendly. Basic breakfast and lunch fare done well. Requirements for number of characters in these reviews is absurd

We love the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, and their coffee is really good too. Highly recommend.

Very good bagels and breakfast sandwiches, Asiago bagel is my favorite! Plus they have a drive up window for call in orders.

I pass through Monticello a few times a year and Monticello Bagel has turned into my little road…read moretrip ritual. I pull off, stretch my legs, and you can smell the toasters working the second you open the door. Last time it was a rainy morning and the whole place had that warm bakery air. I ordered an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and a coffee. The bagel came out still warm in a brown paper bag. Good crust, proper chew, not bready. Seeds actually stick instead of shedding all over the car. Small thing, but it matters. The line can look long from the door, but it moves. I was back in my car in maybe ten minutes. Parking is straightforward. If I am trying to make time, the drive through is there and does what it should. The staff is focused and quick. Not chatty in a forced way. Just normal, which I appreciate before caffeine. This is not a fancy place and it does not try to be. No rainbow bagels, no dessert disguised as breakfast. It is a simple bagel shop that knows its lane. Price felt fair. Coffee was hot and not burnt. Cream cheese ratio was right. I am picky about that. Do I wish the menu had a little more going on. Yeah. A couple extra spreads, maybe a rotating special. If you want wild flavors, this is not that stop. But the classics are done properly, and that is why I keep coming back. If you are passing through town and need a quick breakfast that will not let you down, this is an easy yes. Park, grab a bag, get back on the road. Simple, reliable, and it hits the spot..

They have propane heaters that are warm but because of the wind, your head was hot, and your legs were freezing. We ordered the French toast with side orders. My wife had the side of bacon, $4.50 which was 1-1/2 pieces of bacon...... that's right, 1-1/2 pieces of bacon for $4.50. She also got an order of home fries $4.95 and again was like a half potato. Now I have to be honest, I might have the two side order prices mixed up, but either way it's still not worth it. I had the sausage as a side order, and what I got was an actual McDonald's sausage patty, also up there in price however I won't write how much because I'm not sure I don't remember. My wife got a hot chocolate that was basically brown water. Total of the bill, $47.00 and I gave an $8 tip. Oh. They only accept cash. All this mixed with the wind coming in the tent and cooling our food off rapidly made for a crappy experience. I guess my biggest gripe would be is the sides. The place is kind of funky and cool, but for the money, I would certainly not go back again. This is a one and done!
