I called a few minutes after 6am when the cabbie from " 24-7 Taxi " didn't show up (turns out they're not really 24/7 as I was told they had no drivers available, that all went home at 4am, even though I had asked one of the men at the train station the night before if he could pick me up at 5:45am, was told yes,and called and left a message at 2or 3am to confirm). Mike called me back before the phone had cooled off, was at my motel in 5 minutes, helped me load my stuff and had me to the train station in time to check in my largest bag and still have to wait 15 minutes for the 6:50am train I was catching. The one and only time I couldn't reserve Dan's cab to go to the airport I chose un-Friendly cab. So I made a reservation for me and my family to be picked up at 6 am to go to the airport for our Hawaiian vacation, exciting right⁉ Well 6am goes by, then 6:10, 6:15 now it's almost 6:20 so I call these assholes. The turd who answered has no idea about our reservation and says "oh my partner must've made that reservation!" He then says he'll come get us. So I ended up driving us all to the airport and storing the car there. Figured if these morons can't remember to get us TO the airport they're not gonna pick us up from there either. Maybe good for a drunken ride home from downtown but wouldn't rely on them for an important appointment. Uber or Lyft would be better options. read more

I called a taxi to pick me up and the driver said he was busy and "tied up" and that he couldn't do it. So I called again hoping I would get another person and it was the same guy, so I asked him again and he raised his voice at me yelling and asking if I could hear him because he didn't want to repeat himself and he still did not want to come pick me up. So I called A and B taxi and they were more than happy to do so. I only gave them one star because half a star or zero stars isn't an option. Friendly taxi isn't so friendly. This review is about the (appalling) behavior of a Friendly Cab driver I witnessed, not an experience in a cab. Recently, while driving on 2nd Street toward the Amtrak Station I noticed a Friendly Cab literally parked in the intersection that leads into the station, in a way that required me and other drivers to swerve around him to go in any direction through the intersection. As I passed I beeped my horn twice. Two quick beeps. I didn't say a word, and made no gestures. The driver, who was very clearly illegally and dangerously parked, responded by reaching out of his window, flipping me the bird and loudly yelling "f*** you". My children were also in the car. Not even a little bit Friendly. (if the owner of the company is reading these Yelp reviews I have specific time and date for when this happened and a clear photo of the driver parked in the spot referenced above. My boyfriend and I received a ride and spilled some rice and the driver declared we'd have to pay a $50 cleaning fee even after we removed all the white rice from the carpet. The driver threatened to call the cops when we refused to pay the extra fee and when we said that'd be fine to call the cops he declared the carpet was fine. On our drive there he had admitted to using cocaine that night and threatened to charge our card the extra $50 without our signature since he had our card on file. I've only ever had two drivers from this service. One of them is very subdued and quiet, but he is very nice. There is another driver though who is extremely talkative, rude, and at times aggressive. This driver has hung up on me before while I was trying to make an appointment, he has left me without any warning for being a mere two minutes late to our appointment, and he has a habit of taking very winding routes that push up the cab fare. On every door inside the cab, they've posted the rates; including a 25% discount if you're a student. Next to that, on the rear right door, it includes the 'customer rights' - funny, because one of them listed states that the customers have the right to a clean space in the cab and the right to the most direct route to your destination. I imagine you can see where I'm going with this. Complaints: - He definitely did not take the most direct route. Rather than taking the main streets, which would've gotten us there faster (and less mileage) he went through some winding residential areas. - The door handle on the right side was broken and filthy. The floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages, and much of the interior was torn. I understand torn interior can be costly to fix, but really, it looked like they hadn't cleaned it in months. - As we were pulling into the lot, I asked about the student discount. He said he would give us 10% off, despite four different placards saying we should get 25% off - and then, when the total amounted to $15, he said we would call it an even $14. Not everyone may be decent at mental math, but then use the damn smartphone you kept checking while driving (unsafe, much?) to calculate it. $14 isn't even 10% off of $15, let alone 25%. I should've been charged $13.50 if it were 10%, $11.25 if it were 25%. Rip off. Whatever, what he took in over-charging is what I would've given in tip anyway - and so I justified not tipping him at all. If he had been honest about it, I would probably have tipped him up to the full $15, but nope... I'll be using a different cab service or Uber instead, from now on. read more

I'm giving them 2 STARS because they have been very good to me in the past, except for this one particular driver I had today in the morning who led me to write this review. I am a frequent customer that needs transportation from the same 2 places AT LEAST once a week. I'm so frequent that they don't even put the meter on me and charge me $17 or $18 for the drive. I called one night to make a reservation to get picked up in the morning. I SPECIFICALLY told them not to arrive late and to park next to the bus stop at my apartment since I had work, and they said ok. At my pick-up time, I went outside for my cab. A few minutes passed and the driver wasn't here yet so I decided to call. He said he was going to be here in 5min. This is in the early cold morning so I decided to go back in my warm apt. When 5min passed, I went back outside where he called me saying that he was here already at my apt parking lot and where I was at. I told him I was at the bus stop to which he replied with an attitude, "I just passed it and no one was there," to which I replied with my own attitude, "Well I wasn't going to stand in the cold and wait for you." He was a total of 10min late. When we finally got to my destination, he charged me $22! I told him that I always get charged $17 or $18 and that they don't even put the meter for me. I kept telling him this multiple times! He replies, "I don't know who THEY is and I find it hard to believe they would charge you $17." He just called me a straight up liar. I had my card in my hand ready to pay the $22 and waiting for him to ask, "Cash or Card?" We just sat there in silence until he said, "You know we're just wasting more gas here," to which I replied "I'm waiting on you! I have my card out!" After the payment, I said "This is the last time I'm ever calling this taxi." Sorry Friendly Cab, but you lost a loyal and frequent customer, all because one of your drivers had an attitude problem. read more
