I always get nervous about early flights because sometimes Lyft or Uber cancels; (2) Professional, Michael is extremely professional. He can make good conversation or let you be! Overall, you can tell he runs a good operation; (3) Fair priced, he is 65 dollars to SMF which is slightly above Lyft/Uber w/o price hikes but competitively priced during price hike hours. I think the extra cost is worth the reliability when going to the airport; (4) Accomodating, he is willing to add car seats which is a HUGE plus.

The real gem was Randy himself. Coming back to Sac the train kept changing its arrival time. I had to continually text Randy that the train would not arrive at midnight as scheduled. It changed a number of times. I texted each time I found out the train arrival would be later, then later, then later. Randy told me that he would wait up and make sure we were picked up and taken to the Kimpton, NO worries. The thing is, we couldn't schedule an Uber for pickup/drop because it was a low fare from Amtrak station to Kimpton and no Uber would take us. Randy didn't care. He cared about us. He was worth the large fare we gave him and will use his service every time we are in that area. AND, we let everyone know. He is not only a professional, he is a kind man. On a recent trip, Jay's picked us up faster than Lyft would. My uncle had a 2:30 pm appointment with his physical therapist at Kaiser. The only available Lyft car would be at 2:20 pm, so there's a chance we would've been late. I called Jay and he sent a cab earlier than that time frame. We made it to his appointment early. In the past, I've used Jay's for trips going to City Community Services, Sutter Hospital, and Mercy General. Since these places were in the downtown and midtown areas, the cab fare was inexpensive.

They claim they give one hour for clearing customs and pick up your luggage and one more hour that you might to wait because they have other customers to wait for. Sadly no other options for Davis transport....so they a use their monopoly of the service, if you don't want to wait make them explain the fine print twice. Also, no apologies, no listening and very rude customer service people on the phone. They treat you as they are making you a favor not providing you for a pay service.

The driver took a fast route and made some small conversation. Definitely pricier than an Uber or Lyft, but I would recommend it if you can't find a ride... beats waiting for a bus!

I was picked up, wheelchair was loaded into the cab and we left. Suddenly as we were arriving towards my destination, the driver is called by his "new manager." The "manager" instructs him to pull over three blocks from my destination and load me and my wheelchair into another vehicle. Reason? The current driver had to make his way to another call-but I was still his passenger. His manager demanded it and we pulled over. The "manager" loaded me up in his car, putting the folded wheelchair in the trunk. He drove me three blocks and charged me "about $5." Later that day, I called the company again for a pickup going back to the hotel. I called at 1:45pm at first, letting them know where I would be for the pickup. The dispatch told me that he could not pick me up BC the company was not "wheelchair accessible" and could not dispatch anyone. Confused , I called back at 2pm asking for another ride only this time making sure to specify that the wheelchair could fold up and that I did not need a ramp. Again, the driver told me that he would not dispatch a cab for me even though they had already picked me up that same day. I asked someone else to call for me from a different number and asked them Not to mention the wheelchair and the cab company agreed and gave an era of 10 minutes....I waited in the hot sun, in a chair by the road, for one full hour. Nobody called. Nobody came. I relayed this information to the supervisors of the conference and they called the cab company to inform them that it was not fair to strand someone in this way, saying "you got her here, now you have to take her back." ( At this time, all other cab companies were busy and a few even said that they were also " not handicap accessible"). The cab companies dispatcher agreed that there was confusion and agreed, after being sternly told off, that they could "send someone over immediately" (3 pm). I waited one hour, nobody came. Very disappointing. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this matter.
