ok so first thing I went on yelp thinking ok im never using this company because of it reviews. I happened to be out in town drinking and needed a cab. I happened to see these guys and waived hem down. I got in the car immediately I was greeted by the driver. seemed to be a young fellow. really funny guy had a good taste in music. I asked him to play a song off my phone he handed me the cable and turned it up! as we got closer to my home I I got to know his name and asked him what company im riding with so I can write a review. he handed me a card and it said A&B on it. at the moment it didn't click in my mind it was the company I said I wouldn't ride with. I kept the card and figured ill give them a few rides to see what kind of review I should actually write. I went out a few times after and used the company to go out as well come back home. Dispatch always gives a 10-15 min wait time but these guys literally make it with in 10 mins or less. I swear one time I didn't even hang up and the driver pulled right up. this time it wasn't the same driver. I began to talk to the driver again very cool friendly guy. we made small talk all the way back home i happened to not have enough money for tip. i told the driver i was sorry and ill get him next time. usually right away the mood of a driver changes but this guy still treated me with respect and showed to care more so about the service he was providing then the tip he was going to receive. that made me feel like my business was much appreciated. That was when i decided to write a review. as im going through previous reviews i began to wonder why they had such bad reviews. i began looking at the people leaving the reviews and they seemed to be fake profiles by the competitor. the profiles had multiple reviews in the same day stating the other company was the best and a&b was the worst. also some of the reviews seemed to be just an advertisement just observed another business would do such a thing. One thing i can say is this company is probably one of the best services i have received ever. theyre really friendly guys with great attitude and seem to love what they do! read more

Just moved to Davis, used the taxi services here, and had the worst experience ever... so I started to walk, ride my bike and even used the bus... One day I was forced to use the taxi service here again.. so I took a chance this time by calling A & B Taxi, I have to say they totally changed my perspective, I thought all the taxi companies here were awful... A & B Taxi was so polite and caring, from the moment they answered the phone, to when my driver showed up, and showed up earlier, can you believe that all the other companies were always late.. well anyways A & B dispatcher called me back and told me that my ride was there to pick me up... I got in the car and I was greeted by the driver, he was sooo polite and friendly.. I told him where I had to go, and got me there with out any problems, safe and sound... Oh yeah another thing, I told the driver I had forgotten my cash at home, and if he took credit cards... He was so polite and said that was no problem at all, and he was glad to take payment with my credit card... I was in shock, none of the other companies ever took my credit card and would make me to an ATM and get cash out, not only that some of them wouldn't even have cash to give me back my change, and charged me while I was at the ATM, what a bunch of bull cr*p.... Thank you sooo much A & B Taxi you guys are awesome and the best.. I only call A & B Taxi now, I will never bother calling anyone else.... thanks A&B Taxi.. you guys are the best!! every time i come to davis i call u guys. I know we had a little communication problem (from my side) but you guys worked it out so well, and made me feel comfortable.. i know my english isn't the clearest, and i do have hard times with it.. I rate A&B Taxi number 1 in my book.. One more thing that makes them soo special is they don't mind having a hearing and impaired person who drives for them. can you believe that a "deaf" person that drives for them, to help him out in this tough economy, and might i add that guys is soo nice.. he's quick to pick you up and to get to where you need to go!! i don't know how they communicate with him, but there doing a very good job because he knows who, and when to pick up, plus he knows where to drop them off at, WOW!! and he's deaf! My ride to the airport got stuck at work and I needed a ride at the last minute. A&B taxi was able to get a car to my house in under 10 minutes. The driver loaded my heavy luggage in the trunk for me and was super friendly. They were also able to take credit cards which was super convenient. When I went to get on my flight I realized I had left my phone in the back of the cab. A&B took my phone over to fedex right away and overnighted my phone (with Saturday delivery) for me! I live in San Jose and I take the train up to Davis to visit my sister every month or so. I always take a cab to and from the train station and my sister recommended A&B. Every time I've used their service, the car has been clean, it has arrived on time, the driver has been very friendly, they have been very good about accepting debit/credit cards (in my experience, most cabs aren't), and they've gotten me where I need to go. I was visiting Davis and a friend of mine recommended A&B Taxi. I called before I left San Francisco, the driver was on time for my arrival at Amtrak Station to pick me up. I even confirmed my status 15 minutes before my arrival. The driver was very courteous and maintained professional attitude the whole time. it was a pleasant experience and I would use their service again. I've used A&B regularly for the last year and a half or so, as do my roommates and my sister when she comes to Davis to visit me from San Jose. They're fast, not jerks about accepting debit/credit cards like most taxi companies are, and the ride is always enjoyable. One of the drivers remembers my name every time he picks me up, even if it's been months between rides. As for speed, convenience and friendliness, A&B really can't be beat in Davis. read more

I am injured so called for a ride to work. Daniel said 10-15 minutes then called my cell waiting out front 5 minutes later. I asked him to wait for me to put on my shoes and he politely did so without running the meter. I was driven to work efficiently while Daniel made some small talk. He was courteous to a man who called for a ride also. They have bad reviews here but reviews on google/maps are glowing 5*s. Just sayin'. read more

This taxi is very good! I called them because I had to go to the hospital today. I had to leave at 12pm today. I also needed the taxi to wait until I was done for a ride back. I called early and scheduled it laast week. This driver was on time and blocked his schedule to help me. I am very grateful! We came into town for orientation at UCD and this is the only taxi that picked up the phone. Our driver was a current UCD student. She was awesome! She gave us very good information, got us to a UCD building that was impossible to find. Compared to other taxis that I've taken, this was the cheapest ever. Best cab service in the Davis area! I travel often to Sacramento and Vacaville. Most cabs that I have tried have long waits to get picked and sometimes don't even show up. These guys do a good job keeping me updated and their prices are fair. I'd recommend them if you're in the area read more

I missed my bus and I called A&B taxi and they were very professional and nice on the phone. This is the only taxi in Davis that has professional drivers. Next time you call them ask them why that is. I can trust these guys and that's important for my safety. read more
