Shirley is a sweet lady! She's been cutting my hair for years (found her on Yelp!) It's not too difficult to book a spot. I usually call the day of and get in on the same day! She can get quite busy though, so you may want to schedule ahead if you are running on a timeline. It's a no frills place and good for decent cuts in my opinion. I have straight fine Asian hair and usually get long layers, nothing fancy, just a simple cut, so my review is on just that! Women's medium to long hair is $38+, which doesn't break the bank!! There is only one person cutting hair and unfortunately I definitely won't recommend this place for women's hair cut. I walked in for a basic hair wash and a trim. They use low grade shampoo and didn't even apply conditioner and a basic blow dry was sub par. overall the hair cut was not good. this place is suitable for men's haircut. but I do want to say the lady is very friendly and nice but I guess I absolutely picked a wrong place for a basic trim. read more

I've been to several haircut spots in the Inner Sunset neighborhood, and this one is the best. Make sure to make an appointment. She usually only takes appointment. I got worried when I noticed this, and indeed my hair wasn't symmetrical and had some flaws I noticed when I got home.
