I have had excellent experiences with the staff and Dr Price. Would recommend to any pet owner.

Brought my kitten in because she was due for 3rd round of Distemper Vaccine. Dr. P stated that she would need to come back in 3 weeks for a booster. After bringing her back in for booster I was told that she was all set and would not need to come back unless something comes up. 2.5 weeks and I am bombarded with a phone call saying that they recommended her for another booster. I specifically asked the doctor about these boosters and was either fed misinformation, or they just do not know how to communicate. Do not recommend this clinic. They are obviously trying to pull every dollar in they possibly can. I would have appreciated. This all coming after I inquired on pricing for this distemper vaccine- being told it would cost $35-40. Now I already spent over $200. for the same vaccine and its booster(s). read more

Staff is great it's so easy to make an appointment over the phone. You are treated so warmly and the door. Hannah always does a great job, Jake never freaks out anymore. He smells great for weeks and they don't drug them here which is a plus. Recommend to anyone in the area! read more

This vet office charges you if your pet pees on the floor. When my dog peed on the floor, I offered to clean it myself but they said no, they'll do it, then proceeded to charge me a $5 clean-up with no notice . I didn't know they were gonna charge until I saw it on the bill. Shady!!!! We haven't been there since. read more

I had been taking my Yorkie to see Hannah for a trim and shampoo, nails and the whole bit for a touch over 2 years. Last week we took him for his reg visit and when my husband picked him up and brought him home to me, I literally went into shock. She gave my Yorkie that had his beautiful blue, black and gold hair a POODLE CUT!! Meaning that she SHAVED his hair w/in an inch of his skin. It will take 2 full years for his hair to get to where it was when we took him in. I have actually tipped her $20 on numerous occasions. I will NEVER take our baby there again and I regret ever tipping her like that. There is just nothing to say that will excuse the fact that this was deliberate, actual shears were used on him, I am devastated. If you want to have your dog treated like you would treat him/her, DON'T GO HERE. read more

My dog goes there for grooming ONLY. We absolutely LOVE the groomer, Hannah. This review has nothing to do regarding the groomer. This review is for Debbie, Dr. Price and Janice. Making up "CDC guidelines" and requesting all of this paperwork (mind you they already have my pets vaccination history on file) just to get my dog groomed is insane. Debbie, the so called "manager" has yet to return my phone call that I made 4 days ago. I called requesting to speak to her regarding all of these new rules they have put in place because none of it makes sense! Requiring that my pet gets another Rabies vaccine, given by Dr. Price (who I would NEVER let touch any of my animals. Read all of their other reviews and you'll see why I would never let him touch any of my pets.) all so her microchip information can "match up" in their system. My pet is up to date on Rabies and has been since 2023 when she last received the Rabies vaccine which is good for 3 years. I HIGHLY recommend taking your pets elsewhere! read more

My dog had an emergency and needed to be seen immediately. After going to four other vets and being denied (due to the holiday weekend), I got lucky and found Friendly Paws Vet Clinic. They had cancellation and were able to treat my dog immediately. Two weeks later, along with some stitches and lab work, my dog is 10X better !!! All options were presented to me before proceeding and there were no "surprises". I paid only for what was required and what I requested. The staff there is very caring and patient. I am VERY thankful to Dr. Price for helping my dog get through this tough time. EASY FIVE STARS ! read more

I had took my doggo here over the summer. They gave me more than what I wanted, making it very costly and it was a drought I had to slowly get out of because of it. I said a few x-rays were fine for my puppo, instead they kept giving me more and more and charging me for them without my consent. It added an extra $80 towards my bill. They gave me a bill at first for the check-up and stuff, then took more x rays and the price shot up, giving me another bill? They are very inconsiderate. You made the decision to take an extra one, why charge me for it? The lady at the front desk seemed racist too. I had went back to get my pup a nail trim, and she didn't have a mask on while talking to a white man at the desk, he didn't have one on either. But when I approached after without one on (I had left it at home on accident) she had quickly put hers on. Should be ashamed of yourself. After one year of visits every 3 months (Dr. Price said this was necessary) with multiple high dollar imaging & test recommendations, We finally got a second opinion for what Dr.Price said was the necessary removal of ALL my dogs teeth---- the other vet told us that was absolutely NOT necessary. And the staff started treating me very differently (rude & dismissive) after I questioned the last few studies he wanted to perform on our girl. Please don't let them make you feel like a bad doggie parent with their unreasonable recommendations and costly care! read more

This clinic needs to be investigated. I brought our dog in for vaccinations/ vaccination boosters and left still having paid for the visit, without the vaccinations or boosters, and an invoice for upwards of $600 for "critical care" that was not administered because I declined the fee. $338 of the ~$600 invoice was to have his "30" nails trimmed as a preventative measure. {photo attached} This does not include the mandatory recheck exam that must be done before the nails can be trimmed. If you read his veterinary record you would think you were reading about an aggressive breed with a terminal illness but he is a gentle, i'll be it anxious, puppy. One Vet tech was very pleasant and seemed to take pride in her career but that was stark contrast from the receptionist who embodies Roz from Monsters Inc. You cannot go into the office currently, and you must remain in your car. When it was time for his appointment I brought him to the office and attempted to open the door, not knowing the policy. The receptionist promptly scolded me and barked that I was not allowed in and to wait outside for the vet tech to come out, where I waited until 10m after the appointment time. This particular appointment for vaccine boosters "which were not administered" took about an hour and a half if not more. I strongly advise finding pet care elsewhere unless you enjoy being belittled and separated from your money while being made to feel like your pet is suffering. If this were my only option for veterinary care I would choose not to have a pet. This vet needs to get a grip, I will not be paying more for veterinary care for my dog than I spend on my three sons for medical care. The money grabbing business model at this practice will almost certainly cause owners to mistrust veterinarians and neglect care that could be administered at a reasonable rate elsewhere. Had my wife not done research on the exorbitant costs of these invoices, I would likely have blindly let this vet rob me due to my innate trust. Additionally I would have felt financially unable to give my dog needed care which would have possible resulted in my pet suffering needlessly. This review is for unsuspecting potential customers as a buyer beware. I do not care for any consultation from the practice as I will never utilize them again. I will drive out of state if need be. I hope this unethical practice goes bankrupt. I will be reporting my complaints and those of individuals who have had similar experiences to the Better Business Bureau as well as local media. read more

If Yelp had the ability to assign negative stars in a review, this place would get -5. Initially took our puppy for a wellness visit. The breeder ensured that he was up-to-date on all his vaccinations. Dr. Price wanted to give them all to him again stating that he received them too early, pointing fingers at the breeder saying he found someone to do this to get him out the door more quickly. He additionally, talked down to me insinuating we did not know how to care for a puppy. The definition of a conversation is 2 ways. His style, let me finish talking, and then you can speak. About a week later, our puppy had a fall and fractured his hind leg. We took him right into Dr. Price, he gave us puppy Advil and recommended we crate him and come back in 10 days. 10 days later, we bring him back. Had to drop him off because they are booked solid with one Dr. no problem for us there. Filled out all necessary documents and approvals, the reason for the revisit is they were going to sedate him to do the 2nd set of x-rays which for the life of me I don't understand why they all could not have been done the initial visit after the fall. While there, I get a phone call asking if I wanted dental x-rays done since he was already sedated and to have them on file in case his teeth didn't grow in properly (he's 5 months old). I asked why were they contacting me regarding this and we had an urgent issue at hand. Let's focus on the matter at hand. Why? Because they want to milk their clients. At one point in the conversation, the tech asked me what I did for a living. Again, why is this important? Because they want to assess their clients and milk whoever they can. When we arrived to pick the puppy up we were brought into an office to view the x-rays with Dr. Price and his staff members. Again, he proceeded to talk at us without allowing a conversation to occur (his terms). He discussed the worst possible scenarios such as amputation. It was so offensive. He was adamant about referring us to an orthopedic surgeon center in Towson. I feel as if he was getting a referral fee. Something else that caught our eye is how his tone changed with some none minority clients that came in to pick up their cat (not as condescending and rude). Can't put my finger on it with this one but it does beg the pondering of a question being that we are minorities. The next day, we took him to BluePearl Vet Hospital in Delaware and left with positive results. He only needed pain meds and bed rest for 6 weeks. Bottom line, Dr. Price is rude and condescending, his staff doesn't communicate, and Friendly Paws is out to milk their pet parents for whatever they'll allow, thinking they are ignorant and preying on their emotions. Highly recommend no one, I mean no one take their pet here. read more

This vet "clinic" legitimately is terrible, just read the several other terrible reviews. Only used them because it was closer to home when we moved here. If I could give it less than a star I would. Prices are insane compared to other more reputable clinics. Complained several times about physical gimping side effects of my dog after he received shots from this vet weeks prior, mind you this dog and ALL of my dogs have gotten the same exact shot and have never had problems with from other vets but, this vet seems to think my perfectly fine dog apparently has bone problems just in the shoulder he got the shot in all of a sudden after the shot. The desk workers are lazy and rude. Appointments made well in advance are never on time even when the clinic is slow as hell. For the health of your dogs and your sanity, stay away from this "vet". read more

Honestly surprised at the bad reviews here, we've had nothing but great experiences every time we've been here. Dr. Price is one of the most knowledgeable and thorough veterinarians that I've ever been to and I owe my dogs health to him. The staff is also very friendly and helpful even when I forget to order science diet for my dog they always seem to save the day. read more

I had a very good experience the first time I went here but called back to make another grooming appointment and JANET who answered the phone was rude and talked to me horribly. I explained to her that I don't let people talk to or treat me the way she was and will NEVER take my dog there again. We were visiting Aberdeen on a Sunday and found 6 tiny kittens and their stray mama and took them to see Dr. Price, when most other vet offices are closed. The doctor spent a good amount of time examining and then treating each cat very thoroughly. My husband made the observation, "it would be great if our primary care physician spent this much time on us during our annual exams!" Dr. Price is obviously very experienced and very friendly, and some (though not all) of his staff are exceptionally good. The total fee they charged us was probably half of what we would have paid in central Maryland where we live. We were not over charged for anything and only received treatments that were necessary. The staff is unorganized, you'll get a different answer for the same question from every person, they over charge for things you didn't get, decline services you never agreed to decline, I could go on and on and I've only been twice. We switched vets and showed the new vet our paperwork and he goes "what on earth is this?". They meshed all 3 of my animals charts together so it's completely chaotic and hard to follow. The response? Oh thats just our system. Ok...? After hearing our horror story, the staff at our new vet replied "of course it's friendly paws". This is our first visit here and we're transferring from another vet clinic. We've been here several times for grooming, but nothing more. We've decided to give this place an opportunity to care for our pet. So far we've gotten more information from this visit than we've had for the year plus that we've been at the other place. If they had a negative 19 I would have chose it. I've been taking my dog here for a while. The groomer Hana is awesome. I took my dog to have his ears checked and he did a full bull crap exam. He told me months prior not to worry about doing anything with my dogs eyes (cataracts) that he was old .Now all of a sudden to justify his bs ,he said my dog needed to get his eyes done and had enlarged spleen and liver. Liar ,mind you ,I'm only here for his ears which he said were fine,but he put something in his ear. Whatever he put in my dogs ear has made him deaf. This poor excuse of a dr didn't have the decency to return my call and address my concerns. He had his rude ass office manager Debbie call me back and she didn't have a clue. She said ,well,he had an infection no he didn't. She says let me read the note,oh, yeast bs. I took him to the animal hospital they said none of his findings were true. The best part is after I called and Debbie said she would talk to him and have him call me ,which he never did, another person called to schedule a dentist appointment. These people are hard up for money. I guess the influx in covid has destroyed his morals . He was pretty nice. I guess the fear of not having money will make you like that. Sad, stay away from this butcher shop. You would have thought he would have atleast called. Karama is a beast . I wouldn't take a ant to this place ever. Only thing this place cares about is money Dr's Name is Price which is suitable for him because that's all he cares about and if you don't have the money to pay because they are way out of range in their fees for servicing your pet the animal sheriff will be knocking on your door. My experience here was very good. Dr. Price and the veterinary staff treated my cat exceptionally well. My cat had disappeared on the 4th of July in 2017 and she did not come back until September. She had a horrible wound on her tail way up toward the top; everything below the wound had been de-gloved. Her tail had to be amputated. Of course there had to be x-rays, blood work, meds, etc. I did not feel that the prices were out of range - quality medical care is not cheap. I just did not have all the money it was going to take. Dr. Price worked with me to be able to do the necessary surgery. The veterinary staff treated my cat (and me) with caring kindness. I sometimes had a fair amount of "wait time" in the office but I attribute this to the thoroughness of their care. They are extremely thorough. For cut rate care for your pet - go somewhere else. MOST people on the office staff were also friendly and helpful. My cat is doing great!!! read more

I used to love this place, but the last few times we were scheduled to see Dr. Price, we waited over an hour past our appointment time. Also seem to have a lot of staff that does not know what they are doing. When I got home I realized they charged me for a service we did not receive. I took a fecal sample a few days later and when they called with the results I was told they messed up the test and I would have to bring a new sample. Going elsewhere. read more

This is the absolute worst experience I've had with a vet my dog was very sick and Dr.price gave me an ultimatum either pay 1000$ for spay or euthanize and just walked out the room we decided to bring them home and they said it would be painful but did not offer any pain medicine or antibiotics which we later found could have a chance at saving my dog they're just in it for the money they don't care about you or any animal its just sick and wrong and im never taking anyone there again read more

The staff at Friendly Paws are incredibly kind and compassionate. I had to have my beloved cat euthanized recently and they very simply could not have treated me (and Freddie) with any more sympathy and caring. I would not hesitate to recommend them. I've been taking my dog there for awhile. He at the same time every year gets this skin infection. Always needs the same meds. But, Dr Price won't give me the same meds, for the same dog, that has obviously the same infection, on the same part of his body. Always, wants to charge me for tests and and anything else he can.
