Not the best service. The waitress began by asking me what happened to me. (i have been disabled since birth). She seemed very confused by what we ordered, after repeating it to her several times. Once we received our food, we got the wrong order. Our food was decent after waiting for them to fix the order. The food seemed over priced for the food and service we received. Tried to get breakfast here but the staff was too busy eating in the kitchen. One guy on grill was working 3 women could not care less if I was there. I've never been a fan of Friendly's. My wife and daughter like to go to lunch at this location. It's great for kids with the free Sunday with their meal. So today while out with our grand daughter we took her to this Church St. location in Pembroke. My wife had a BLT, my grand daughter a grilled cheese. The food they had was adequate. However, the Cheese Burger I ordered was the worst so called burger I have ever attempted to eat. I say attempted because I left a good part of it. Dried up, taste less poor attempt at MEAT. I don't know what to call it. Served on a grilled obviously stale roll. My little granddaughter had her ice cream and loved it. This consumer is done with Friendly's. I've never had such a bad meal in my life. I don't complain to wait staff because they didn't cook the food; however any waitress should have looked at this food and tell the kitchen I'm not serving that food. read more

I ordered thru grub hub , my order was not complete. I ordered a fribble and went to curbside. No one came out, I had to go in to inform them. The server came to my car, leaned in with no mask. The drink was delicious tho, but obviously the staff has no concept of safety during a pandemic. I suggest that u don't order food from them read more

Pembroke location: Very good service. Seated as soon as we arrived which is nice. Waitress patiently waited for our order (kids are picky!), and didn't wait long for our food which was delicious. Grill cheese for the kids always a hit and of course ice cream for dessert. It was busy but that didn't stop the staff who wished everyone a good day! read more

I love Friendly's too for all the same reasons: friendly franks, hot fudge sundaes, fishamajigs(sp?) but this particular one is nasty. The window staff is unsanitary. i watched a girl pick a plastic nub off my spoon with her grimey hands then throw it in the bag. Inside? Oh, inside, you get to sit on the leftovers from former patrons and don't wear sandals or you are sure to have a foreign object make contact with your feet. Our waitress was actually good but she was alone! evidently, it takes 12 kids in the kitchen to produce what she serves. While pondering leaving, we listened to someone sneeze like ferris bueller and lucky us, he was making our sundaes! That didn't even cost extra. Go to the Hanover Friendly's! read more

Who complains about Friendly's? I read some other reviews and someone took the time to pick on Friendly's food! Everyone knows Friendly's is not a place you go to impress someone. It is a perfect place to go for breakfast, lunch, or a light dinner, and a dessert. I don't expect my Friendly's waitress to be as good as one that you would find in an upscale place. It's a place for high school students and retired people to work part time. For what it is, Friendly's is perfect. The staff they have working there now seems fine to me. As a businessman who travels a lot, I've eaten a lot of Friendly's in the past few years. The Pembroke Friendly's is by far the best I've come across. The servers are always pleasant and eager to take care of you. And the cook staff always gets the meal right, even if I complicate things by making additions or subtractions to a standard dish. read more

I've been eating here on and off for 15 years. TLDR: Your experience depends on the staff working that day. The food is good! Standard fare, like grilled cheese, salads, and cold sandwiches are always the same and taste really good. My favorite is the Supermelt sandwiches. They've made changes to their menu in the last few years; stay away from the burgers...this isn't a burger place. While your main course is decently priced and well portioned (and plenty of fries!), appetizers are overpriced and quite small, although they taste just as good as the rest of the menu. I used to order the "Loaded Waffle Fries," which, even though they have faux nacho-cheese, are great. They've gotten smaller and smaller to the point that I no longer order them or any other appetizer here. The ice cream is also great, and provides a good bang for your buck. Fancier sundaes start to get expensive, but the price is, in my opinion, justified. Your overall experience will come down to your service. I've had some of the worse restaurant service in my life at this Friendly's; they've hired some terrible servers. There are some great servers too, but those aren't the ones that stick out in my mind. They seem to be working on this (as I've noticed an improvement), but it's hit or miss. Side note: they also market themselves as a breakfast place, but I've never been to Friendly's for breakfast. On the topic of service, servers are weirdly always women. The only time I recall ever seeing a man wait tables here was when a manager helped out during a dinner rush. They gutted and renovated the restaurant in ~2014, but I don't think it adds anything to the place or changes the ambience. Food's good, desert is good, and service is generally fine. Normally I support Friendlys but this one is terrible. Consistently VERY long times to get your food and it's not very good when I arrives. Too bad because it is so good for kids but one does no go to Friendlys to wait an hour for food. read more

Perfect little stop for our way out of the Cape. Not far off the highway, quick breakfast. Service was a bit slow but food tasted fine. Great for kids. Plenty of parking and no wait for seating. Service also friendly...of course. read more

I am writing this review for take out ice cream ONLY! There is one girl there who I have come to know and she can make a sundae! I like a lot of peanut butter sauce and she didnt snub her nose when i asked for extra PB sauce. She pumped the sauce in and asked me if that was enough...Nice girl, very friendly ans accomodating! =) There is one manager with brown hair who I refuse to let her wait on me. I am a big fan of Friendly's. I love the food and the atmosphere. This location is one of two i frequent for food outings. The food is good and the staff if friendly enough. One thing i do not like is that sometimes, (not always) the service takes too long. This doesn't happen often though. Other than that, plus the fact that me and many other people want to see the mac and cheese bites make a return, I love this location. read more

Had an early dinner there with my daughter. Great food, great price, and absolutely stellar service there from Nikita, which I may have mispelled, but she was just great. Friendly's, I've found, are only as good as the team an manager working the shift. This was a good one, today, but that's because Nikita made it so, and the cook knew what he was doing. read more

I would put in zero stars for this review but sadly I cannot..this morning I went in for our usual big-two-dos with my friends. But unfortunately after waiting five minutes to even be seen by the hostess, we were refused to be seated. The hostess claims that the last time we were served she had received an inadequate tip and management would not allow us to be seated. On our last visit we had a total bill of $40 and we left a nice $15 tip but we were informed by the hostess she only received a $2 tip. We were deeply saddened to be refused service by a restaurant that we consistently go to for breakfast roughly twice a week. Despite being regulars we were not given a table. On average our tips are 20-25% however after one circumstance where they claimed that they only got $2, we were denied service and left with nothing but a sad empty feeling, and even emptier stomachs read more

Went for all-day breakfast at about 4 p.m. on Sunday, but they no longer offer it. Strange (bad) smell in restaurant: presumed it was from new booth seats. Too bad they also didn't clean all the disgusting food trapped in the ridged edges of the tables. As usual, lots of debris on the floor. When we walked in, there were NO customers, and about 6 employees sitting in a booth. Only when I headed for a table, after waiting at the hostess station, did one bother to get up. I asked manager if they would vacuum the floor as it looked so unpleasant. After reviewing the new (again) menu, and as no one attempted to vacuum the floor (they said they had been full all day and that's why the floor was a mess, but it ALWAYS is a mess, full or not, and I guess they were too tired to work!), we decided to leave. Another person who said she, too, was a manager (must have been the day manager), asked why we came in if we thought the restaurant was always dirty (in other words, don't let the door hit you on the way out)! Her excuse for the dirty table ridges was that the franchise owner doesn't listen to them. Told her she was not a great rep for the restaurant, but she said she was leaving it, anyway. We used to enjoy this restaurant for simple food, and had found many of the servers really pleasant and helpful, especially when food items were "shorted," which often happened, but the attitude of the staff on Sunday made that our last day there. read more

I came in for lunch on a saturday, and received the worse service. We waited 7 minutes to even be helped. On top of that our waitress gave us very poor service and was busy doing other things. My daughter and her friends went to friendlys today and were embarrassed by their server who screamed at them in front of the whole restaurant for not having enough money for a 20% tip. They still left a tip it just wasn't a lot. I am disgusted at how they were treated. Never did I think an adult would be yelling at my child. He also left with their change that hey were going to use as a tip. He cashed out with their money and left. I don't think my children and their friends will be going to friendlys anytime soon. Can't beat the service during the day they are the best! Unfortunately the evening crew disappointing. We visited (or tried to) Thursday at 9:30 with a group of eleven. We were told we could only take items to go. Interesting since they close at 10:00. This is not the first time this happened. We have made friendlys sundaes a part of our family events but our new memory has become being turned away. We then took our business to the 99. My fiancé has a shellfish allergy and we are finding more and more we can't eat out because people are not taking into account that people could DIE if they don't keep the oil separate in the kitchen. The Friendly's restaurant in Marshfield has slow service and not the best quality of food. One time, it took an hour for 3 small kids meals and another half hour after that for 3 ice creams. The atmosphere is not good with an overall kind of dirty feel to it. Friendly's is a good place to go if you have a lot of time and don't mind a very loud atmosphere. read more
