They'll have the hands touch in the cone instead of just being on the paper they should be wearing rubber gloves when they're touching your food because they're a bunch of dirty kits with piss poor hygiene etiquette it's pretty sad. I am embarrassed to say I've only had DQ once in my life prior to this experience, but I was eager to stop here with my family after a day trip to the Cape. This shop is located pretty close to RTE 3, so it was easy to merge off and stop here for some ice cream. The restaurant was busy, but we got 3 ice creams in less than 10 minutes, so service is really quick and efficient. We got a vanilla ice cream cup and two chocolate blizzards. My girlfriend got the M&M blizzard and I got the marshmallow blizzard with Oreo and peanut butter cup additions. It was absolutely delicious and not too heavy! A small size is all you need. Every single year my family and I go Christmas light viewing and as a family tradition we always get Dairy Queen blizzards. For the last 15 years we have been doing this tradition, but this year was special because the store was closed before 10 pm even though on the app it says it was open. I have been here a few times and the actual food has always tasted good. Unfortunately, every time I come, the ice cream is very soupy and melted. I mobile ordered this for pickup and received it 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled pick up time. I was happy to see that it was ready so early but when I took a bite, it was not my order. I went up to the counter and they gave me the correct ice cream but I was confused because it was all melted and soupy. 5 stars for Dairy Queen, how you ask. Well the young dark curly haired man who was the cashier for starters. He treated my nieces young boys as if they were his own. Took time to walk them thru the food choices, etc. All of the staff was amazing, you could get your ice cream that came with the food order after you ate and they bring your food to your table. When I picked up the ice cream after the meal, I told the manager how great the cashier was. Now that we are sitting outside enjoying our ice cream, that young man came out again and was asking everyone outside if we were good, did anybody need anything and I told him how great he was and I also told him that I mentioned to his manager how great he was. He told me he won employee of the month, so I told him, it was well deserved! DQ has become a Saturday tradition, as my son loves him some soft serve and year round options are few and far between. Pair that with the solid combo price and a fairly decent burger, and it's one I can endure. Anyway, I order through the app and we get the same thing every week. One time, the app took my order but when wife went to pick it up, they didn't have record. She ordered and paid, and as it turns out, I was charged for both orders. This was 100% an app error, but when I called and explained it to Arthur, he cheerfully offered to refund me immediately. I said, "Hey man, i'm going to place the same order for my kids, so can we just call it a wash?" he happily obliged. This is the first time that I'm gone to a Dairy Queen that was a sit-down restaurant. I went here with some friends and family after we went to Starland Sports since it was within walking distance. They have five dollar and six dollar lunch specials that come with a drink, entrée, fries, and a Sundae so it's a good deal. However, the food wasn't very good. I got the crispy chicken sandwich which tasted terrible. I had to put lots of ketchup to make it edible. The McChicken at McDonald's probably would have taste better. The fries were very plain and served cold. The good thing is that their desserts are still good. I ordered the Oreo blizzard and I loved it. The service here is nice. I appreciated that it was outside lunch hours but the employees let us order the lunch deals anyway and that they brought our food out to us. DQ is synonymous with the word ice cream and always our go to when you need that ice cream fix. We were in the area for my granddaughters soccer game and the DQ banner in the wall inside captured my son's attention and drawn in like a bunch of zombies. It looks like a relatively new facility as it's all updated and fairly clean as fast food restaurants go. Pretty well staffed the time we arrived so putting our order in was a breeze. Everyone but me ordered ice creams, blizzards or sundae's of some sort as well as burgers, chicken strips, etc..Bummer they were out of their holiday feature Candy Cane Blizzard and the kid taking our order said they've been out 2 weeks, grrr... Ice creams and blizzards came out right away, followed by burgers and then a message that the chicken strips would take yet a little longer. I waited what seemed to be about 10 minutes in total for a simple 3pc chicken strip meal which wasn't worth the wait. They have a number system that includes table tents that about as 1/2 assed as it gets. My number was 99 but I was given 82 to take to my table. The number tents are so small relative to the table size that they can't be seen by DQ staff when walking around so they just arbitrarily walk around the whole restaurant yelling your number out as your food is getting colder. Doubt we'll ever be back to this one because we're Floridians but we'll continue going to DQ for our ice cream fixes whenever the opportunity arises. read more

I dont understand some of the Negative reviews on here, they seem so petty and minor issues. I have been to this Dairy Queen every time I take a 2 hour trip to some friends homes up that way. I have tried multiple different things on the Food and ice cream menu and all have been great. If you ask for something to be taken off a sandwich they take it off. The Ice cream is as great as always and I love the Kiwi Strawberry Slush's. This is a great place not only for myself but my best friend whom has Diabetes, there are many alternatives on the menu such as lighter sandwiches (Turkey Blt and Chicken sandwiches - believe they have ham sandwiches as well). I really enjoy this place a lot, its right next door to StarLand as well so a great location to bring the kids. The Inside is very clean and looks nice all around. The staff is very helpful. Even though new isn't always better, and more often the new replacement for anything is mediocre... especially in comparison to the previous state of whatever it may be, this is far from the case of Dairy Queen in Hanover. This specific location sits on Washington Street (Route 53) in Hanover, and besides it's location that is much more out of the way (at least for me), than the previous DQ in the Hanover Mall, everything else about this one is miles better than that. A drive thru, full food menu, full restaurant dining area, and the largest parking lot I've ever seen for any drive thru restaurant. The service at the drive thru was great and the staff in general were funny, kind and helpful. They were surprisingly efficient, and had a good way of keeping the line moving fast and accurately. Very impressive for such a new restaurant! Prices were decent (not the highest for all the Dairy Queen's in the area), and above all, it beats all of the other old fashioned and annoying DQ locations in the area. This is the only "Grill & Chill" location around with a full menu of food (burgers, hot dogs), along with the typical ice cream fare from any DQ location. A sweet spot for a bite to eat or a casual date, this Dairy Queen has been hopping since the day they opened their doors. We finally got around to stopping in-- it didn't look AS busy-- this week. Since this is a "Grill n Chill", you can dine indoors after ordering *actual* food, in addition to your ice cream-- which to some people, is a food group. We both selected from the "meal deals" ($5-6): an entree (I chose chicken tenders), fries, a drink, and a sundae! The sundae was a happy surprise! For just over a tenner, we had a nice, casual dinner date for two. Quality-wise, the chicken tenders had great texture (actually looked/tasted like real chicken) but were very small. Fries looked blanched and bland, but were A-OK. The sundae really won me over. Who can resist a hot fudge sundae? Cashiers and other staff seemed friendly and interactive. Offered to fetch a dipping sauce and bring it back to the table, saving me those extra ten steps (haha). The place was clean, and as I mentioned before, busy. Have been here a half dozen times, always a good experience and a good value. The kids are asking to go there when we are in the area. I have even ordered a birthday cake there and although the picture machine was broken at the time, they were very up front and very nice to accommodate with other suggestions - spending time. The servers have always been helpful, and they have never gotten our orders wrong, nor has our hot food ever been cold and our ice cream has never come to us melted. They don't know how to make a hot fudge sundae. I ordered one and there was a tiny line of hot fudge not even halfway around the edge of the container. The rest was all ice cream.
