We plan on camping here soon. I visited the campground last in early March. It's a hidden Jewel.

Great Campground, well maintained and clean, great friends there. I would highly recommend this…read morecampground. I camped there for three years, my father and brother still camp there. I visit as often as possible. Great events for campers all year. Great camping family.

Well this campground is something else. My advice is to nott come here. Usually you come to a…read morecampground to relax and enjoy camping but not here. You have to come each week, to spray for weeds and the mow the grass around your lot too. I was out of town for 10 days, not realizing that I needed to do this and with no warning was asked to leave within two weeks time, paid up until November 1st. Their contract said they will give you 30 days. In addition, there was a broken down fence, put in and left by the previous tenants that soon became my responsibility to repair and fix it. First of all, I am by myself and there is no way I can secure a fence to posts that are 8 feet tall and 20 feet long. They said if it falls on someone I am liable??? Why is it up to me to fix a fallen down fence with sharp nails protruding from it, children playing close by, when I didn't put it there to begin with. How am I supposed to do this by myself? I am extremely quiet, keep to myself, am gone a lot, not a big drinker or partier, and haven't had time to take part in the activities. No one came over, introduced themselves, even tried to get to know me or anything. And then without notice because I was gone for 10 days they gave me two weeks to leave in the height of the summer months or at a time where no other campsites that had any availability because of the time of year it is. Sigh........In summary, these people do not abide by their own contract, the owners let the managers (Jake) decide whether you can stay or need to leave(????) and have thrown out other people (check the reviews) for even less things and they have no integrity whatsoever. Also, if you do not leave by the deadline they give you, then according to another review, they can keep your shed? One person reported in her review they would not let her back in to get it. If there was any other place to go camp, do it. Maybe Clinton Lake permanent sites, or Weldon Springs for 2 weeks, also Green Acres would be good as well. But do it in early Spring because those places fill up fast. I asked them several times to come talk to me about this in order to try and make it right but they couldn't even do that but resorted name calling and threats. I do not subscribe and never resort to these kind of tactics, ever, and this is a first for me to get asked to leave from a campground with such a short window (almost impossible to meet or only 3 weeks) when paid up until November 1st. Ugh! I was refunded for only part of what I paid and was short approximately $200 in addition. Fortunately, for me, in the area, some good Samaritans came to my rescue and helped move me. Thank God for them! They have another resident who was treated the same way I was and had to leave quickly as well. Please do yourself a favor and read some of the other reviews. I wish I would have as I would have never come here.

We came here for just one night as we are on our way to Memphis…read more It's a bit off the highway to get back into here, but the roads were safe enough. They were super friendly at check-in and even offered chocolate chip cookies, which is a first. They also had popcorn. There is also Fatso's pizza place that is part of the front office and they give you a menu upon check-in. We were assigned to site two, which had a beautiful Lake view and was on the end so we had fairly unobstructed views of the lake. There's plenty of green space in this park and they had Disc golf as well as a pretty nice playground for the kids. The sites are fairly close together and there are 60 total sites in the campground, so seem like they had plenty of room. There are a lot of different site types that you can reserve, including one that is completely paved with some patio furniture. They also have cabins to rent if you don't have a camper. Loved all the shade trees too. We did not use the public showers or restroom so I cannot comment on that. With a good Sam discount, this place was $53 per night. Make sure to try the pizza, we ordered a small one just for a snack and it was fantastic! Make sure to ask them to make the cross extra crispy if you like it that way. All the utilities worked fine although I will say, even with our filter, the water had a little bit of an odor to it. Not sure what that was all about. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within about a mile of this place as well.
