Great campground! I came in after a 5 + hour ride. Friendly professional staff! While setting up, I noticed to my dismay that I'd lost my refrigerator vent cover! With incoming storms threatening, I was very concerned. I walked up to the office where both Micci & Kylie were both willing to help. They gave me a nearby RV dealer to call. After I had returned to my rig, they walked over with yet another number who they thought could definitely help. Sure enough, within 90 mins, I had a temporary but great cover on my unit. I can tell you how much I appreciated their willingness to help me. Their knowledge of nearby help was very necessary, because we campers always have issues! Definitely stop at this place in your travels!

If you like a clean and quiet camp ground then this is the place for you! The staff is very friendly and helpful with a few supplies in case you forgot something. If you need more head East for about 15 miles to Normal or go west about 25 miles and see Bass Pro Shops and Caterpillar Museum. The is also the theater dinner Barn III just 14 miles up the road. Probably to worst pitfall is it's next to the interstate but the noise isn't to bad.

We only stayed for one night but it was great! Easy in and out. Called ahead and reserved a spot. Lady on the phone was friendly. We came in late about 10pm, so they left our info taped to the front office door. Spots are easy to get in and out. Big rig friendly with not too many trees. It's located next to a highway so there IS road noise, but it didn't bother us. There's train tracks and a train went by, but the noise from it was not bad. Not enough to disturb us in the slightest. Entrance and exit are the same so keep that in mind pulling up. Someone else might be exiting as you're entering. The entire campground is very clean and well kept. And they allow pets. Would definitely stay here again

Very quite RV park. The bathrooms are some of the nicest I've seen and kept very clean.

Avoid it if you can. It's too close to the freeway so there is too much noise! It can make for an unpleasant stay.

Great campground. Clean. Easy layout. Friendly staff. Conveniently close to the I-74 for a quick, overnight stop.

From the world class pool, to the busting sounds of I-74, this guy really knows how to pitch a tent if you know what I mean!

Cosy Corners is a small, family owned campground, quite literally in the couples backyard! Barbara and Dave, the owners were fantastic and absolutely went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience with them. For example, I needed ice from the store and was given a ride in their golf cart. At one point it rained pretty heavily and as soon as it stopped, they came out to offer us all towels. the couple have a vast knowledge of the area and spent a good while talking with us about the things we could do 'off the beaten path'. Did I mention that this campground is at the entrance to Matthiessen State Park and only a mile south of Starved Rock!! Perfect placement. Also, you don't have to worry about the alcohol bans in the state parks if you stay here. The campsite was dog friendly provided the pups stay on leash. The only thing I could say that may put you off would be that there is no shower facility! This didn't bother us, we are experienced campers and had no issue showering under a hose. there are a couple of hoses around so you can access running water. Oh, anther thing! The cleanest camping porta johns I have ever used. They smelled clean and were also lit at night! OK, I could go on all day. I had a fantastic experience and every one of the 10 people in my group on the Saturday night swore they would return. The service provided by Barbara and Dave is second to none! I can't wait to go back!

They had Karaoke on Friday night and a band on Saturday in a barn on the property. We didn't go to either but since the barn is fairly enclosed it didn't bother us. This place is pretty quiet durning the day, like I said it's a super relaxed vibe, maybe because when we were there lots of spots were open. Management is great, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There are lots of seasonal's and plenty of nightly camping spots too. The RV spots are basically in a grassy field with some gravel, not perfectly level but not so bad that we had to pull out leveling blocks. Big nice trees everywhere. They have a nice playground and a great pond! It seems that they go to the effort to dump fresh sand on one side of the pond so that it's kind of like a beach and it makes to bottom of the pond sandy instead of muddy. There is also a big fountain in the pond that helps circulate the water and I suspect filter some of it. They don't have wifi but we didn't mind. We have been to so many RV parks that "offer" wifi but then you get there and it's so crapy that you feel a little cheated. I'd much rather know what I'm in for up front. AND we had great cell service (att) so we could do anything we wanted to. Happy camping!!
