It's nice to have a library close to home. They offer many programs for kids, including story time…read more They having plenty of seating options and computers as well. The children's section is located off to corner. Plenty of books available and a small section for entertainment and 3 computer stations with learning games. What is nice is that they have a restroom in this spot so you don't have to run across the library in case of a child's bathroom needs. They have a couple of event rooms, occasionally used by the Red Cross for scheduled Blood Donation. Restrooms are conveniently located across the event rooms. The restroom is very clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The only downfall is the parking. The upper level of the parking lot is very tight even for smaller vehicles. There is overflow parking at the lower level, and some street parking. I'll keep visiting this convenient library.

It was a very busy place, on a hot day, with many, many patrons studying, reading, hanging out. It is one branch of the vast 35-branch Riverside County Public Library system. Ample parking, the parking slips butt up against a thoughtfully designed walkway with signage telling you about the history of Temecula. Once inside the library, there is a beautiful mosaic-mural depicting sea-to-outer space, perhaps a nod to what all is in store for the curious patron. The Children's Area is decorated with dozens of stuffed animals atop the book cases. There are painting on the walls. Lots of visual stimulation. But, if you need some calm, further in the library, there is a whole window wall with comfortable seating overlooking a vast valley. Almost every shelf had an intriguing book on display front facing. Books that my library in San Diego does not own...yet. If it weren't so far from my home, I would get a library card (yes, with a CA id, this is possible, and free), and check out some of those great books.

We've always had such great support and customer service. They have great events, wish I could attend all of them on the events calendar. They also usually have the books that we are looking for and placing holds on books doesn't take very long until we get to borrow them. Books are in good condition but you can also tell when a book is well loved, which doesn't bother me at all.

I do wish they had more funding though because they don't have a lot of books. More often than not the book I want isn't offered there so I just keep settling on others. Earlier this year around January/February, the indoors was mostly closed, so they had us sit outside in the cold. However, the view is very pretty. It's always quiet, and there's usually enough space to study because I've never seen it be crowded inside. Today, I was able to use one of the computers to print something important and was in and out of there in 5 minutes. I love this little library!

This was my third or fourth visit to the Oceanside Library, and I think they've done a much better…read morejob managing the facility than on my previous visits. That said, it still feels like a gathering spot for many unhoused individuals. I understand public libraries are meant to be welcoming community spaces, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that, but it does make me a little hesitant to bring my kids here. Today was an exception because they completed the summer reading challenge and earned free fair tickets. The children's area is a huge positive. It's separated from the main library, feels safe, and the staff working there during our visit were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, because of its location, you'll still occasionally see people walking through from the main library. Parking is another challenge. No matter what time I've visited during the week, finding a spot has always been difficult. The front desk staff came across as less welcoming than I'd hoped, while the children's staff completely made up for it with their excellent customer service. I'm a strong supporter of public libraries and the resources they provide to the community. My rating reflects the value of those services rather than the behavior of other patrons or the customer service experience alone. Despite a few drawbacks, I'm grateful our community has access to a resource like this.
