We have been to this thrift store a few times in the past and they always have a lot of items to choose from and look through! All of their employees were very friendly and helpful! There was a long line the whole time we were there today and only one person ringing people up. They had a lot of Christmas and holiday decorations and clothing out, which was good timing! I ended up purchasing multiple strings of outdoors lights at $3 each. They had lots of good deals on all of their products. We will go back again in the future! read more

I really like their selection of clothes, CD's and other miscellaneous items. The prices are reasonable, and I absolutely love when they have their specials. For example all women's clothes are half price or you can get CD's at a reduced price this week. read more

As a lover of thrift shops, I just discovered Samaritan. Unlike many others, the store is extremely well organized and stocked with a vast amount of interesting items. Best of all, the staff is extremely nice and appreciative of the items I just donated. This is in stark contrast to the thrift store in Ocean View where the staff that received my many donations are rude, unappreciative and never even provide a "thank you". read more

I went to the Samaritan Thrift Shop for the first time today. I live out of state and was on the hunt for a thrift store. The store was laid out pretty nicely. It was not cluttered. They had lots of different types of items for sale - furniture, linens, sports equipment, hardware, accessories, jewelry, a good amount of glass and knick knacks, fairly small shoe and toy sections, mixed media (mostly DVDs), books, and, of course, clothing. They had a good amount of MEN's clothing (which I don't find at some thrift stores). However, the clothing section was a mix of low and some mid-level brands. Most items were in wearable condition (meaning no rips, tears or stains) but not all. I happened to catch a 50% off shorts and shirts day so I bought two men's shirts. Prices are fairly reasonable. The 50% off is what got me to buy two men's shirts (which I got for $3.50 for both). Customer service on the floor is definitely lacking but that's ok with me because they were busy getting items onto the floor and checking people out at the register (which is how a busy thrift store should be). They were nice enough at the register when I purchased my items. I would definitely return if it wasn't so far from when I'm staying. read more

love this shop so much we go here every time we come down !! the prices are very great and has a great selection of clothing. definitely the place to go to if you want to buy some nice sweaters and sweatshirts. there is also a wide variety of other things as well !! They do not accept cards there so make sure you bring some cash in you but other than that it is truly an amazing place read more

My husband and I visit here regularly. We've found some really awesome deals on a variety of things in the past two years. We have noticed though, prices are changing. We were getting things for great deals and now we see things marked for more than they're actually worth. We come from Ocean Pines several times a week to check everything out and grab a deal. For the most part everyone is very kind. There's one lady we could care less to see because of her poor attitude, but she's the only one. When I say poor attitude I mean, one day housewares and glasswares were half off so we grabbed two cast iron kitchen wall decorations. One was broken- the painted tile was separated and held in with transparent tape. We were about to pay and she corrected us and said they weren't considered housewares. Another completely different time, same woman, we were getting books buy one get 2 free. We grabbed a paper back cookbook in the stack we had. She wouldn't give it to use as one of our free books so we paid extra for it. No one else that volunteers there has made us leave feeling so irritated. The magazines are different from paperback and her argument was that it was a magazine. Was there once and didn't see anyone besides her so turned around and left. Rant over!! With that one exception, it really is a cool place to find some old and neat stuff, plus no tax. read more
