From start to finish, the communication was top-notch; he provided clear updates at every stage of the work, so I was never left wondering about the status of my gear. Beyond the technical skill, Donovan's expertise is evident. He suggested a specific change in the grain of ammunition I was using, and he was absolutely spot on--the performance difference was immediate and impressive. Came in expecting a professional and welcoming experience, but the front desk made things uncomfortable almost immediately. I was asked multiple times if I knew how to use my firearm, even after already answering the question. I understand safety is important, but repeating it over and over came across as condescending and unnecessary. The staff overall seemed more focused on making assumptions than treating customers respectfully. A little professionalism and better communication would go a long way. read more

I used to be an annual member at Frisco Gun Club and had a wonderful experience throughout my many times visiting here. The staff were consistently so friendly and welcoming especially when I brought in friends to try out the range for the first time. I went here more times than I can count and I had a consistently great experience. I am bummed out that I had to move to the East coast for a new job but will definitely come back and visit the next time I'm in the DFW area. You won't find a nicer gun range for a better price than at Frisco Gun Club. An additional bonus of coming here is that even the clientele are very nice and have that southern hospitality. read more

Frisco Gun Club is the Gucci of shooting ranges. I've come here with a friend and attended a few events here, and wow what a place. You can shoot here as a non-member, but if you purchase the membership, the value is pretty awesome too. The service here is great, I especially love the attitudes of everyone as it is is above par. You can eat here, you can shoot here, you can hang out and have a few cocktails at the bar. There are so many things you can do here that you could easily spend a half a day looking around, shooting, then hanging out and having a meal with a drink. The range area is spotless and comfortable, there is always someone watching for safety reasons, and they are top of their game. This is important for safety reasons for both them and you since they make sure the shooters are playing by the rules. Overall, I'll just say, if you're into shooting, you may want to give this place a look, then consider a membership. It's a great place to hone in your skills and socialize while doing so. read more

Mixed Bag Visited on a weekday afternoon. Greeted immediately when we entered, and directed to the range check-in area. There, two employees were both staring at one computer screen trying to overcome some issue. I tried to make eye contact, but no luck. We stood there for several minutes before we were acknowledged. I have no problem waiting, but it only takes a second to acknowledge a customer, say you're having a problem, and will be ready in a moment. I requested two lanes, together, but was told they couldn't accommodate. They advertise 23 pistol lanes. There were two other shooters. So, other reviews about broken equipment appeared to be validated. We were brusquely directed to fill out the liability waivers, handed some targets and promptly ignored again. There was no explanation of the process. Since no payment was collected, I asked if we paid upon exit. "Yeah." On the lane, the HVAC, which others have had concerns about, was working fine. We were there less than an hour, and by that time the other shooters had cleared out, and the range was empty. I belong to an outdoor gun club, but it's almost an hour away, and I was looking for something closer. After reading the reviews, and experiencing Frisco Gun Club firsthand, I think I'll keep looking. read more

Been to this location twice now. The staff is always incredibly nice and welcoming. They allow you to rent or purchase everything you need to shoot but it will be cheaper to bring your own stuff. Both times I've been its always felt safe and clean. They have a huge assortment of equipment, and eye catching things to buy. I wish the membership packages weren't so expensive or included more perks to make it more appealing but other than that i have no complaints at all. read more

I cancelled my membership a year ago, went in signed the forms and turned in my card. They lost the paper work and have no record of me cancelling. They continued to charge me my membership for over a year. They were unwilling to refund me all but one month. Reached out to the owner and he never replied. Flew back to my home state of Texas & decided to give Frisco Gun Club a shot (hah) through Groupon, Shooting Range Experience for 2, with my friend. FIRST TIME EVER, COMPLETE BEGINNER! At first, one person at the front desk told us there was no guidance provided and that we needed experience, which made us hesitant and nervous. However, another employee told us that didn't sound right and directed us towards the back near the range. Thank goodness for DANNY, who proved that wrong and made our experience absolutely 5 stars! With a little bit of fun sarcastic humor, he eased our nerves and THOROUGHLY and PATIENTLY explained the basics of gun safety and technique, from grip to loading, as well as expectations (loud, bullet shells fly). We even had hands on demonstration/practice with an unloaded gun and had practice fires with a live one on the range under his watch. Afterwards we were on our own, confidently firing with no issues and had a good time! Safety #1, we had hearing protection and glasses, and staff reassured they were always available nearby to assist. Groupon came with two gun rentals and range lane, ammo paid separately. Danny recommended Glock pistol with .22 (smaller bullets, smaller recoil, quieter) to start and 9 mm to finish with a bang (larger recoil, louder). Facility is very clean and well maintained. I don't understand how people could say "this place is freaking awesome." It's an absolute joke. Being referred here by a local, I had high hopes, however I was left with nothing but jokes. I'm only adding a star as the girl who checked me in (I forget her name) was very nice and really the star of this entire place. I was going to shoot rifles and handguns: first being told to go to the rifle range. It was down a baron and dark hallway, an afterthought at best. The ventilation was honestly the worst I have ever experienced in 20+ ranges. Maybe it's just horrible in the rifle area, or really this place is a dump. I've never had so much gas and lead in my face. But dont worry they have handsoap for you (WHICH IS NOT D-LEAD - so you'll still have lead on your hands?). I was told, be sure to bring your target back when you are done, as the batteries may die and leave it at the end of the range.. uhhh ok.. Well funny thing is, my lane did die, on it's way down only 10 feet from me it dies. Had to walk the long dark hallway to let them know, and they let us move to the lane next to us. Ok, then minutes later the bag I was using to sight my rifle, provided by them, of course was leaking "sand" got all up in my SBR and jammed it up. So I was done with that. time to shoot handgun next. Standing there waiting to be helped to move to the handgun range was one of the worst examples of customer service I have felt in a long time. They Completely ignored me, while teaching other apparent novices who have never held a gun before how to get ready to shoot in the range. I honestly was scared to go in the handgun range with these other people. Even though the staff was literally staff member to 1 customer there, they somehow failed horribly on every level. After waiting there for 10+ minutes to move to the other range, I decided I hate this place and it's time to leave. $53 and some change to put 40 rounds down a horrible range. What a total ripoff. I've lost a lot of respect for my friends who referred me here. And for the business itself' wow you are horrible. Goodbye read more

Staff was not friendly nor accommodating. They were very straight forward. That works for some people. No one helped us when we walked in. The selection of guns was comparable to other shops. They put the gun and packs of ammo in a bag so we can bring it into the range. The belt for the target is easy to maneuver. It sure does get loud in there so bring/buy ear plugs as they provide headphones. They do a pretty good job cleaning up shell casings. There is a sink outside the shooting range but it's not the most sanitary looking equipment. read more

We also set for concealed carry permit course. This is the best course and I'm looking forward to taking some more courses that they offer. I will tell you the good and the bad. Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good. The Good: If all you are looking to do is aim and shoot at a target, then it may work for you. If you need to sight in a rifle at 100yards, this will work. They do have an extensive collection of rental guns which is a plus. The Bad: The MOST CRITICAL issue I have here is that is rare to see a Range Safety Officer anywhere. On occasion I have seen someone walk through but that is about it. I have had people in stalls next to me who have handled their firearms in an unsafe manner. I take my own safety in my own hands so I deal with the issue calmly and professionally. Most folks are very apologetic and make corrections quickly. There is no monitoring whatsoever that I have ever seen here in the several years I have been going here and have been a member. Most, not all, of their staff, who are in their 20's like to act as thought they are experts at all things firearms related and you, by default, are a novice. Their prices for range time are high. Yes, it is a decent facility but so are 90% of the facilities in the same proximity from me. It does not matter what level of training or certification you have, you can do nothing but aim and shoot at targets . You cannot do holster work even if you are certified by one of the top training academies in the country. Oh wait, unless you pay for their holster course, then there are specific times you can. I assure you, the training I take is leaps and bounds beyond any training I have ever taken here. The instructors do the, "I'm a badass and you're not." attitude. I strongly recommend that you find high quality training, which in my experience does not exist here. The retail selection lacks any variety and is overpriced. The overpricing is not exclusive to this range. All ranges are a little higher than you can get items elsewhere. I for one like to support my local range by paying the extra if it is within reason. It is not within reason here. Again, if all you are looking for is a basic point and shoot place, this might work. I would highly recommend not taking advice from these 20 somethings that think they are gun oracles. They are not and on more than one occasion they have given flatly inaccurate information. I have had annual memberships here for around 3 years. I have cancelled my membership here and will go to a new range. When I cancelled, no one even asked me why. It would not have changed anything anyway, but if this were my business I sure would have asked. I have spoken to a manager in the past. Not a tremendous help, but my guess is he doesn't make the rules. Maybe he does, but this range just isn't for me. read more

I took my Sig P229 Legion in to be sold on consignment. The gun was never fired since I brought it brand new. They offered a free range bag and coin at the time of purchase. All of which I included to be sold with the gun. After 3 months the gun didn't sell so I decided to just pick it up and keep it. I took the gun home only to realize that the gun had been fired while it was there under consignment. I recently also found out that the coin is not the coin that I had sent with the gun. My coin was a legion p229 the one that I have now is a P238. This type of behavior is horrible. They offer to clean the gun and free range days. Which I decided just not to return. Caution: it is my opinion that you should not send your gun because it could possibly be fired as mine was. read more

This place is freaking awesome! My wife and I came here today looking for a home defense gun and we were greeted immediately by a friendly man who led us to an expert. Allen helped me pick out a good starter gun, I believe it was a Glock 43? He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful at finding us a good fit. Once I was interested he guided us to the range to give her a go and boy that gun was accurate. A perfect fit for my hand and not a horrible fit for my wallet. I will definitely be back, and the monthly range subscription seemed reasonably priced so I may be back a little more than maybe my wife would like.... 10/10 thanks Allen for your awesome assistance! Well excuse me. I haven't written this review years ago when they first opened (7yrs ago). I thought I had as I remember the grand opening day with lots of lookers and shooters. Over the years I have been several times to check how my guns are working rather than go to the Dallas Pistol Club in Carrolton where I am a member. DPC is an outdoor range so in bad weather this location is better. Also the Frisco Gun Club has a 100yd range most useful for sighting in one's rifle. Which I did on this trip along with my pistol. Giving FGC 3 of 5 stars - not bad, but not outstanding. Facility is clean, modern, the restaurant inside is SUPER unique and convenient if you've made it a day of shooting. I do NOT like the lack of range safety officer presence to supervise lanes. What FGC offers in terms of lane capacity, they lack in staff presence. New shooters benefit not with a staff behind the cash register! I took a new pistol shooter there who had experience with rifles but not pistols in his past life as a marine. As a new shooter myself, a supportive and experienced staff at the range is something I look for. The day I went, there was a group event happening which also increased my stress level a bit. I have been a platinum member for 3 years. The last year the quality of FGC has went down. The range is always hot. Today the thermostat was set to 79 in the range while it's 92 degrees outside. The cafe is closed again. I believe they do not have enough staff to keep it open. Recently the restaurant kitchen was closed due to losing the head chef. They then reopened with a limited menu. When I called to make reservations I was told I couldn't make one. Then told I could. There are some great employees at this range. Unfortunately I think they lost some quality staff members and have not recovered. The platinum membership is no longer worth it. This will be mine and my friend last year unless something drastically changes. Apologies me nothing. Fix this place up and offer your members something for the terrible year. read more

Good place to go shooting for pistol, shotgun, or rifle. Nothing crazy fancy aside from the fact they have a bar/ dinner spot for post shooting activities. They had a 5.56 shortage unfortunately and in this market it's better just to bring your own ammunition anyways. And then told I was supposed to pay to shoot that lane (which I did). And make no mistake, the idiot actually yelled at me. Aside from one or two of the employees, they are riddled with idiots and morons that in one case couldn't find the magazine that was IN the rifle. Been shooting 35 years in multiple disciplines and all over the world and have never seen such an arrogant uneducated group of morons running a range in my life Maybe because they advertise as some high end range I expected better. But seriously, one guy pointed to a heat shield and said it 'comes with a muzzle brake'. I pointed to the thread protector and was told that was for a suppressor. Well, he wasn't wrong I guess. I'm not talking about one visit. This was idiocy on arrogant display 5-6 times. I ever find out one of my friends shoots at this dump I will unfriend him immediately. read more

The staff here is extremely helpful, easy to work with and always knowledgeable. Took their LTC class a couple years ago, purchased firearms here and have been a member for a few years. Every firearm shop is low on inventory so that's not really a knock, but there is absolutely no inventory. But for an indoor range and FFL in Frisco, they're the best. read more

FFL Transfer BEWARE! I purchased a Glock 19 from an online dealer in December 2020 and contacted Frisco Gun Club to be the receiving FFL. I was emailed their FFL license and all seemed well. I explained to their staff that I was out of town and did not know when I would return (I have a home in two states) to which I needed to be aware of any timeframe I had to pick up the firearm. I was told not to worry about it and come by to pick it up at my convenience. Due to Covid, I was stuck in California and unable to turn due to travel restrictions. I called Frisco Gun Club multiple times (I even let them know I pulled my phone records in case they needed verification) and let them know I still did not know when I would be able to pick up the firearm. Fast forward to Nov 2022, almost 2 years and they tell me they can not locate my firearm. I call back again, 2 weeks later, and am told they located it and it is still ready for pick up. I call again mid November and say I am coming in later that afternoon to pick it up only to be told by the inventory manager that they can not locate my firearm. Not only does that not make sense as they told me two week prior that it was ready but he (Brent) also told me the previous staff and inventory manager were all terminated for not dong their job so he was having to clean up their mess. I provided the serial number, the name of the person who sent me the FFL transfer license and he said no one has ever heard of that guy nor was he able to locate the firearm. One week after, I receive an email from him saying the firearm was allegedly sold as it was in transfer for almost 2 years and the $50 non member transfer fee was not paid. I responded to the email reminding him I communicated multiple times with Frisco Gun Club staff and never was it mentioned I had to pick it up within a certain timeframe (I asked) nor that I needed to pay the transfer fee upfront. Finding out they sold my firearm, I asked for the equivalent or the money I paid the original online dealer as the online dealer stated it should have been sent back to them if they did not know who it belonged to or if they were not the selling dealer. I was then called by Brent's boss the following day, I believe his name was Ken. He said informs me there is a 90 day holding policy and they reserve the right to sell a uncollected firearm to recoup storage and transfer fees. I let Ken know that at no time was that ever communicated to me in over 20 months nor is that information located on the Frisco Gun Club website. I told him I spoke to multiple staff members, referenced the manager who sent me the FFL license and his response was "I do know know who that is and we have had a lot of turnover. It does not matter what you were previously told, this is our policy and we should be asking you for money you owe us after storing for almost 2 years". Apparently there is also a $50/month storage fee, again this was never communicated to me nor disclosed on their website. Ken said it does not need to be disclosed, its company policy, and they dont have to give you a notice or acknowledgment when transferring in a firearm (how is someone supposed to know a dealer's policy if it is never communicated or on their website). He continues to state that I should have picked it up as it was almost 2 years and that they are doing me a favor as I should be paying them for the storage, again, had I known there was a timeframe to pick up the firearm I would have made something work. Long story short, they are taking the stance that I am out of luck and they have "sold" my firearm (which I still believe if their staff was truly that bad to where everyone was let go, I think it is reasonable to think my firearm grew legs and walked out of the store...) If it truly was sold, I was told 2 weeks prior that it was there and when I asked them the day before it was missing. Every dealer I have purchased from keeps very good records of their firearms, as required by the ATF, but the Frisco Gun Club seems to have incompetent employees and pose a risk to anyone trying to complete an FFL transfer as they do not let you know their "policies" ahead of time and will sell your firearm vs sending it back to the dealer that actually sold it in the first place. I tried to get a rifle lane and one of the kids said 10 min, another lady say I'd 45ish, well, I waited an hour and a half then left, it's been a three hours and still haven't got a phone call. Nobody around to give me info ya out signing up for a membership. Too many employees just hanging around just the asking to each other not acknowledging anyone, no customer service at all, it feels like walking I to McDonald's. I said, "I would like a pistol range". He said, "What are you gonna shoot"? I said, "Pistols". He said, "What kind of pistols are you shooting"? I said, "9 millimeter". This was my second time here, I took my jolly self with a sprained foot all the way here to zero-in my new AR build along with two others (one of them being my cousin) who also wanted to zero-in. We shot for a short while waiting for the fourth member to join our group, when he showed up he paid his fees and then we were told to leave. The fourth member did not even get to shoot with no explanation given. So we left. Given the fact that 3 out of 4 of us were asian it's an obvious reason why we were told to leave due to the xenophobia and current events (COVID-19). Kind of pathetic. The fourth member is a veteran, I don't want to pull the "service" card out for him but he did not even get to shoot and was still charged just for showing up. Really pathetic how veterans are treated, the lack of integrity here is pathetic. No servicemen should have to reveal their "service" history just to get some respect (which comes a long way). read more
