This place should really be condemned. The amount of algae growing on this course is diabolical. I would almost personally donate a pressure washer and chlorine to fix this biohazard. Playing putt putt here was nearly impossible because every hole is caving in. You can't even place your ball at the start without it rolling away from you. I didn't want to do this, but I'm leaving this review in hopes that it sparks motivation for improvement. We used to love this course, but this year it was very run down. The water hadn't been cleaned and it had algae everywhere, even the rocks under the water falls were covered in algae. The course greens were torn and not kept up. It was just a major decline. We spent $45 for three people for this! I really hope it gets the attention it deserves to keep the business running. read more

Worst minigolf Ive ever been to. Bricks were falling off, some portions were sinking causing uneven ground making it unsuitable for putting. Mosquitoes were EVERYWHER. Just by looking at gokarts i can tell they aren't of good quality, the track is lackluster and gokarts are very overpriced. Minigolf was overpriced too. Dont go here. read more

Go karts are FAST! We went on a Saturday around 1:30pm and was super fun. $15 for 4 minutes, a bit steep, but pretty comparable to other places on the outer banks. The other places we have visited on northern parts of the island are more crowded and carts are not as fast. read more

This course was $10 per person to play the putt putt course. It is evident there has been zero TLC to this course. The only thing stopping me from giving this course one star was the fact it got the job done has a putt putt course. It had zero pleasing aesthetics to it, the pond water needed lots of chlorine or filtering and the waterfall seems it hasn't been power washed since it was installed. If you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing course this is not it. The trash can in the water was comical but on a real note it was kind of pathetic to see. There was also quite a lot of litter around the course. With a little TLC and basic maintenance, this course would have been worth $10 a person. read more

Pretty rough - the property, the building and the mini golf course. No railing on the decking to get to one of the holes. Turf torn up on many, if not all, of the holes. They need more water movement in the ponds, etc to cut down on bugs. It has potential but needs allot of work and updating. read more

My son was told by the cashier to ask the guy at the go-karts if he was tall enough. So my 9 year old explained that the cashier told him if he could reach the pedals he could drive, and then asked if he could drive. The guy was quite nasty and told me son "if you know you aren't tall enough why are you asking!?" Um, BC the cashier told him to! Is that anyway to speak to a 9 year old. He scared my kid and he was almost crying. If you work at a place w kids , be nice to kids! We played mini golf, which was fine, the course is a bit run down and doesn't have much shade. First, check my number of my reviews and the average number of stars. You will see that I am generally a very positive, friendly and generous reviewer. When I slam someone, believe me, they have it coming. Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts(last summer, 2010), where do I start? With the angry old lady at your front desk who could not possibly have been any crankier? With the equally disinterested and unfriendly guy out on the track? It was like $70 for our family to ride for a promised 5 minutes or something unbeliveably short like that- - GULP! Expensive, but whatchagonnado, it's vacation. It'll be fun. Let's go. However, we were allowed less than 3 minutes. Since I was on the side taking pictures and I had a watch, I knew for a fact it was only 3 minutes and just 6 or 7 laps (small track). And even when I said to the guy, "what? really?" he starst to argue that he gave us the full time . . .it was just a horrible, horrible experience. The kids were so diasppointed. But we were not about to poney up another $50 or $60 so they kids could ride for another 60 seconds on Igor's watch. So disappointing. So, so, so disappointing. And PS, Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts, you also RUINED what should have been one of the BEST beach vacation memories! The Go Kart component of the vacation is right up therre with roasting smores in the open pit fire on the beach and successfully launching kites in the air. The course was partially renovated; new stone path between holes, some fresh paint on things, and it was clean. However, this course still needs some more cosmetic improvements. The course layout is simplistic: few obstacles, most holes have multiple holes to put in. Not even any largest, nothing motorized. Just some pieces of wood sticking out of the ground or large rocks, or hills. Only 1 hole where your ball is transported through a tube. No pars are listed on the holes. The biggest peeve is that the concrete underneath is not even. There were several holes where a buckle in the concrete underneath would cause your 2 foot putt to veer at or near the lip of the hole. There's slopes where it doesn't make sense. Most of the putters have seen better days, grips falling off of a few of them. Inside, there's about a dozen arcade games and a pool table. PS - Bring bug spray. read more

Enjoyed our trip to Frisco Mini Golf & Karts very much. A great way to spend an afternoon with the family. We took our 9 year-old son, played a round of mini golf and the guys rode the go kart track twice. I think we spent about $70 for the afternoon, so it wasn't necessarily cheap but made great memories. The 18-hole mini-golf course was pretty fun with plenty of built-in obstacles. There was enough shade to make it enjoyable despite the 90 degree heat. The guys said the go karts were pretty fast for go karts, and the track was great - my son was especially excited that he managed to "drift" a little on the track. There was an arcade inside with plenty of options - some old school video games (Ms. Pac Man and Galaga) and newer games. They have a small concession with food, sno cones, drinks, etc. but we only bought bottled drinks. Overall, we had a great time and will return on future trips to OBX. read more

Meh - my typical children thought it was ok, but they didn't rave about it. Whatever you don't don't try going here with a disabled child. It's 0% disability friendly unfortunately. You're much better off with the dinosaur mini golf park in kill devil hills - they were very accommodating and helpful to us with our disabled boy trying to make it fun for him too. read more

Great experience. Great memories. I took a group of 31 teenagers and chaperones on a trip to the Outer Banks a few weeks ago (camping at the Frisco Woods campground just down the street). One of the highlights of the trip for the teens as well as myself was the go-karting and mini-golf at Frisco Mini-golf & Go-karts. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were also very accommodating in arranging a good group rate for the large bunch of kids we had. There were a lot of people there, but the lines were well-managed with minimal wait times. The go-kart rides were a huge hit and the kids are still talking about the fun time they had. The mini-golf also provided a relaxed environment to talk, chill, and get to bond together. The management also threw in a few free mini-golf, go-kart, and bumper car rides for the chaperones to enjoy as well. All in all, a great experience. We'll be back. read more

2person track is super bumpy and jerky. Bumper cars hardly work. We don't go unless Roger is working. He is the best!

If I could give less than one star I would. We had 20 people and all they saw were dollar signs. $15 per person for 4 minutes. We asked if we could just rent the track for a half hour. They said we'd have to be accommodating for other customers. There was no one else there for 90% of the time we were there. The vehicles were NOT maintained properly. Seat belts were broken/missing. Some vehicles had steering concerns. Others had engine concerns. There was fecal matter at entrance to the track. The owner and two attendants were present and preferred people to step in it and proceed to walk all over the bleachers. The OWNER gave us an issue because one person's tickets fell out of a pocket and stuck to the vehicle and she had to get her hand dirty. The attendant gave my son an attitude because he kept getting spun out. My group has fun wherever, but man these people do their best to suck the fun out of their business. read more

We came here for the go karts and got robbed! We payed $60 to run two go karts for 12 minutes each. Not only was my wife's go kart very slow (so slow that we had to wait for her in the two-seater just so we could actually "race"), but we didn't get anywhere near 12 minutes. This place was OK; cranky looking elderly lady at the front, who didn't say much. Not friendly, though not overtly rude. Go Karts incredibly expensive! We had to skip. We played a round of mini golf instead. The water features were nice, though had quite a pungent odor that carried through. There was a very pretty gazebo and bridge in center, but everything looked in need of a fresh coat of paint and the astro turf has seen better days, some ragged parts even interfering with shots that circled the hole. It is nice that kids 6 and under are free. Beat a drive into Nags Head, so would probably go back for golf. read more

Ew this place was gross. They sell bug spray with the tickets because you HAVE to wear bug spray, like everywhere on your body. Though I have to say it was kind of funny to watch kids on the go-karts swat mosquitos and flies out of their faces while on the track. The miniature gold was even worse. We were all so hot and sticky (yes I know the place has no control over this) but the bugs were horrendous! Biting us through our clothes even. Pretty lame course as well. We mini-golfed. Nice course with a stream running through. Those under age 8 might find this course difficult. Several of the holes were against gravity making them extra challenging. We found the staff neither friendly or unfriendly. Three young adults sitting on stools behind the counter, two of them texting. What I would expect at a place like this. No mention on the outside signage about the arcade that is inside. Unfortunately, we had several days of rain this time down, and would have visited the arcade if we knew it was there. Prices are comparable with other mini-golf places on Hatteras. There aren't many on the island - which his expected because it is an island you know! :-) One complaint is about the ants. Perhaps this is just to be expected in the area, but every time any of us stood still or sat down, we were covered in ants. Not fun and definitely made us accelerate our experience.
