It was quite obvious at our visit that she has a great deal of experience with this breed having been a long time owner and lover of these little weenie dogs. We adored her so much at his first puppy visit that we decided to take our other two to her as well. I was incredibly impressed with her demeanor, thoroughness and knowledge. I am someone who does extensive research on things and everything I had come across she basically mentioned or was well informed on, especially specific to the dachshund breed, including breed specific issues, prevention and wellness, waiting to neuter to enhance protection of their spine from IVDD, etc. Her love for the breed and animals in her care was so apparent - I've never been this fond of a vet and we've had several over the years. Our pup wagged his tail the whole time and was not scared of the experience. The tech and front desk staff were all incredibly kind, so sweet to our dogs, and went above and beyond. After Nash' second puppy visit they let us hang out in the room over lunch to wait out any vaccine reactions, not to mention our sweet tech helped cut the Benadryl pill for us and grabbed some cheese they use for shots to help him take it. Our visit with our older rescue went just as well when we took him for a concern - she was so patient and sweet with him as he is a very anxious little guy. Just can't say enough good things 11/10 experience so far!!

Once was to evaluate and…read morehelp us transition our 20 year-old cat over the Rainbow Bridge, and after that to care for our other senior 18-year-old tabby. I can't say enough good things about how knowledgeable and caring they are, and how much time they take with the animals and with me. They seem genuinely interested in my life as well as well as all of the animal's well-being. I wish I would've found them sooner! The pricing is more than reasonable, and they were willing to work with me on dosages and such of the medications they offer, after I noted that our cat seemed a little lethargic on the higher dose. They spent a long time trying to find someone who could compound a smaller dose to make it easier for me to purchase and give the proper medication to our elderly cat. I don't know what else to say except to repeat that I highly recommend Dr. Key and her assistant. All the pets are so much happier that they no longer have to go to the vet. Finally, regarding the price - today's revisit was to make sure my cat was healing well from the procedure they did two weeks ago. It was less than the price of what it would've cost to take my cat to the vet she used to go to. I hope you try it out. It is so less traumatic for the cats.

****** UPDATED REVIEW****** I've brought my cat here 3…read moretimes now. I like the convenient location of the clinic because I live across the street. First time was for new patient visit and vaccines, second for her teeth cleaning which was over 700$ and then third time to recheck an area at the base of her tail because she was missing hair- $200. I usually give my cat gabapentin for long visits or wellness visits where she gets shots like her vaccines and obviously for her dental visit. But for a random check up on a small itchy lesion on the base of her tail that had already been previously reviewed, I didn't think to give her the gabapentin. She just got weighed and she just got given antibiotics from her dental treatment and she's not showing any symptoms of disease or sickness. Well, the assistant got clearly annoyed with me when I told her I hadn't given Darla any gabapentin, then she grabbed my cat without asking and said they were going to have to take her to the back to review her, when I asked why, because I just needed a visual opinion from the doctor about her hair loss spot, she said "because you didn't give her her gabapentin and she's known to bite" ---- After posting this review the manager of the practice, Duke, who said he's been here 17 years, apologized and gave me a credit for the service that was rendered without consent. And apologized for the behavior and steps taken this day. Changing my review from 1-3 stars due to the kindness of Duke and his understanding of the situation. Thank you

The entire team is incredibly engaging, compassionate, and responsive. They take the time to answer questions, explain treatments, and genuinely make you feel like your pet is their top priority. During emergency situations, they acted quickly and kept us informed every step of the way, which brought so much comfort during stressful moments. Their grooming services are also fantastic -- our pets always come home looking and feeling great. It's rare to find a veterinary clinic that combines excellent medical care with such warm, personal service, but this team truly does it all. After five years of trusting them with our pets (we have 4 who see Dr. Tabor), I can confidently say they provide outstanding care and exceptional customer service. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a veterinary team that truly goes above and beyond!

I called in December 2024 because I was visiting family and had forgotten my dog's prescription for incontinence "proin" and was worried about it. The staff was totally unhelpful and stated they would need to do a full annual exam for it. I told staff they can call her current vet to discuss the diagnosis of incontinence and see her full up to date vet records. The unhelpful lady stated this was against TX law. This is a lie as the law is "For Schedule II controlled substances, a written prescription must be issued on an official Texas prescription form or through an electronic prescription that meets all requirements." Proin is not a controlled substance, and staff was unhelpful and rude to simply get another annual visit in. I don't think most people lie about their dog's veterinary diagnosis. But I had up to date records to confirm that. There is no reason they could not have responded reasonably with an uncontrolled substance for a week. Staff/Owners, you're in a state where dog populations, abuse, and euthanasia rates are some of the worst in the country. Do better. The great news is, I skipped my dog's prion for a week and learned her current vet had diagnosed wrong and she's not incontinent and never took the pills again.

Instead of focusing on my dog's care, Dr. Houck repeatedly criticized me for not bringing my dog in sooner, using a condescending tone that made me feel judged and belittled. This was especially frustrating given that I was not aware of the issue earlier and that veterinary care is extremely expensive--often $500 per visit. I love my dog, spend a great deal of time and money caring for them, and came in seeking medical help--not to be made to feel like a bad owner. The lack of empathy and respect was unacceptable. I hope the clinic takes patient communication and bedside manner seriously, because no pet owner should leave feeling shamed for seeking care.
