Visited here today and it was absolutely amazing! The staff are accommodating and kind and there are so many cats and kittens to play with and so much space! The cats are so friendly and adorable and a few of them even climbed onto my lap. This place is a great cause while offering affordable tickets of only $12-$14 for a whole hour!!! Great for group visits and solo visits. There is a cute gift shop as well! Additionally, the staff here does an amazing job of protecting the cats, such as noticing when a pair of cats are bonded and cannot be emotionally separated. I volunteer for an animal shelter in New York and this due diligence and level of care for the emotional and physical well-being of cats is a huge green flag!!! Especially since some cats endure traumatic experiences and upbringings it's important to be cognizant of these things! read more

I came in excited to adopt a kitten and found one I really connected with named Alorin, only to be told I couldn't adopt it on its own because it was part of a "bonded pair." I later saw your response to a similar situation: "Our rescue has a firm policy not to separate littermates under 12 weeks of age while they are still acclimating, as this is critical to their emotional and developmental health." However, these kittens were over 12 weeks old, which made this feel like a rigid policy applied without considering individual situations. I've fostered kittens before, and single kitten adoptions can work very well in homes with another friendly cat. Requiring adopters to take two at once is a big ask and may actually limit how many animals find homes especially when an employee mentioned to me that some cats at the coffee shop have been waiting since kittenhood to be adopted due to them being in a "bonded pair". I would appreciate being considered to adopt Alorin, as I can provide him with a happy life in a loving, cat-friendly home. This experience left me feeling that strict policies may be getting in the way of placing cats in good homes. read more

I love when I am visiting an area and stumble across a cat cafe. Frisky Cat Cafe is by far the best cat cafe I have ever visited. The volunteers were incredibly helpful and sweet and knew the cats well. I was the first visitor this morning, so some of the cats were still waking up, but some were lively and enjoyed energetically running on the cat wheel--something I've never seen a cat do before! I loved the decor and how clean the space was. The cats had plenty of room to roam or snuggle up. My favorite cats were Duke and Napoli. I would love to return to this adorable cat cafe during future trips to Saint Augustine! read more

The coffee was delicious and the cats were so sweet and friendly, but one of the staff members was rude and unfriendly. She was rude to me and my boyfriend about leaving open the gate for the kittens while opening the door, meanwhile she was the one that had the gate open and we were just trying to get the door for her, she was just overall rude and I don't think I would come back to avoid getting unwarranted attitude. Still definitely a great place to visit and adopt but the way she acted toward us ruined the experience for sure. read more

We can't have pets in our apartment, so my husband and I came here to get our fix. We had so much fun, I didn't even mind the scratches I got. Haha. All the kitties were so cute, and most were really sweet and loveable, I could have easily taken a couple home. I will warn you about the kitten room....imagine a bunch of hyper children locked in a room together...but cats. Enter at your own risk! When we were in the kitten room, my husband hunched over to pet one, and two kittens jumped on his back. It was hilarious! I would happily spend some more time here down the road. read more

Visited today with my daughters and it was such a sweet shop. Lots of cats to play with and love on. Place was clean and cats were well taken care of and appeared so happy and healthy. Cost is $12 for 1 hour which is kind of steep, especially considering minors must have an adult accompanying them, but I understand the overhead to care for the cats. It would be more reasonable to do 1 for $12 and 2 for $20, even. At that rate we would come back regularly. read more

Such a clever concept. You visit this place for the cats. The main front cafe has drinks and snacks but nothing great. This is a non-profit cat rescue. The cats are available for adoption. They only allow 10 people in the cat room at a time and you are allowed to stay an hour for $10 donation. It is best to book an appointment online if you want a specific time slot. If no appointment, you may have to wait. They also have a kitten room to play in. The reason for the four stars is the food is so bad. While we were there, a cat/kitten was getting shots or some sort of medical care in the main cafe area..which was weird. read more

If you need a boost of serotonin this is the place to be. I was laying in the hotel I was staying at looking for something cool to do the next day when I came across this place. I've seen places like it before but never went in. This place had coffee and little snacks. The coffee was delicious and the cats were all fun to place with except one that had an attitude like most cats do. The owner didn't seem to be too happy with how her day was going. My husband and I had the absolute best experience at Frisky Cat! We made a reservation online for an hour visit over the weekend. We were greeted right when we walked in and talked about wanting to adopt a kitten! We also ordered some delicious coffee and macarons. We got our food and drinks and the employee walked us into the cat room! All of the cats and kittens are so well taken care of and it's obvious that they are treated with nothing but love! Immediately we fell in love with Pepper and we knew we didn't want to leave without him. We put in the application for him and a few days later he came home with us. Carla, the owner, was so sweet and attentive and answered all of our questions about the adoption! I will always recommend this cafe and I can't wait to go back and play with other cats there! So so glad we have an amazing place like this in town. read more

Such a fun experience my daughter will never forget! We sadly cannot have cats at home due to our dog. Yet when my daughter asked for a kitten for her birthday..I knew this was the best compromise. The place is super comfy and the owner (I believe) was very nice. My daughter had an incredible time and it helped her kitten fever for a short time lol. My only complaint (if you'd call it that) is that the hours are somewhat limited. Truly NOT an issue and obviously it's not a for profit business etc. I completely understand and the feedback is more so just my opinion. I'm sure the hours wouldn't be an issue for us if we lived closer and had more free time :). read more

They have a fantastic interactive cat room and and they serve delicious coffees and sweet treats in the front cafe including the best macarons I've had in a long time!! Today they had about 25 to 30 cats in the cat room and there's tons of comfy seating for humans, lots of things for cats to play with and cat trees to climb on so hopefully you'll find your new best friend to take home with you!! This place is such a nice place to go to if you are having a stressful day. It costs $10 to spend 1 hour in the cat room and you can buy a small cup of cat treats for $1.00 to feed them with. I have been going here a few times already and this place always make me leave with a smile on my face. I also advise others to try their smoothies! They are very good to have while you're in the room. Hopefully one day, I will be able to adopt a cat from this place since they have really adorable sweet angels. read more

Website rarely is fully functional, so I had no idea there was an admission fee. That was fine, however and we paid it because we were looking to adopt a cat. The owner is very haughty and arrogant and made me feel like my time was not valuable and that I am not on the same level as her.she spoke down to me and my daughters and emphasized how important she was as an "entrepreneur ." Despite an appointment, we waited 15-20 minutes to get in. We didn't even stay the whole time we paid for because the cats were so skittish and totally unsocialized. Some were hissing and hiding. We will not be adopting from small lives matter or this cafe. A real disappointment. read more

10 dollars gets you into the cafe for an hour, this is on their site and if you call. They also explain it to you when you walk in. We didn't need an appointment, but on the weekends I could see that you would. It's a great place to adopt from since you get to play with them for a while before. We just went for drinks though. Stopped by on a trip and everything was great. They have a nice area where you can sit and have food coffee and then they have the cat area which is very spacious. All the kitties were so friendly and enjoyed playing so much. All the cats are up for adoption which I loved. They have a kitten room too. The one thing I would have liked to see is more information about the e kitties readily available but maybe I missed it. The coffee was good! My order was mixed up but the barista was insultante on correcting it. The macaroons were so yummy! Earl grey was my favorite. The coffee was great, the barista brought us back our coffee whole we were in the kitty lounge. The barista with blonde hair was very kind. The cats, they were great! I loved getting to spend time with them while on vacation. The reason I deduced two stars was because of the possibly owner, she was incredibly rude and seemed bitter. I'm not a person to leave bad reviews- but this experience truly disappointed me & I will never be back. I would recommend going to the other cat cafe near this location. read more
