Great place! I have been to other cat cafes and this one is great because you don't have to pay for encounter or be around cats, if you don't want to. You can just have a drink and see cats from the other room. It was helpful because our toddler was entertained. We did want to come inside to see kitties but we didn't make appointment and the wait was way too long for us. Ambience is super friendly and cozy. The only criticism is they didn't have decaffeinated espresso so we just had a tea. They also sell few things for kitties and some other cat themed items. read more

How can I give petting cats anything less than five stars? Me and my sister made the trip down to St Aug to visit this place since we had followed them on Facebook for a while. It exceeded expectations! The cafe: the girl working explained that they can make anything that Starbucks can, which was helpful since the menu is very plentiful! I can't speak on the quality of the drinks since I didn't end up getting one, but they did sell cute cat cookies which were yum! The general environment: so cute, so cozy. They make a relatively small location feel quite cozy! There is a nice area outside of the cat cafe with a few tables and a couch in case you don't want to pet the cats the whole time. They also have a super cute cat themed shopping area with pins, cat toys, stickers, mugs, and other fun cat items. The place is extremely well taken care of. The cats: most importantly, of course. Such sweet sweet babies! It did cost $12 per person to visit the cats, which I had absolutely no problem paying. People who complain about this get a major thumbs down. The money supports the cats, and that is what you are here for. Cats are not cheap to take care of so please be considerate. The cats were a great mix of kittens and adults. When one cat walked away, another cat would walk up! You will never be bored and the 30 minutes goes by very quickly. They even have a handout sort of thing where you can see little bios of all the cats so you can identify them. There is up to 20 cats in the room at once! Today it was 19. The staff: second best to the cats. Both girls were so amazingly friendly and even came to hangout with us in the cat room at the end! One of the girls answered all of my questions about the place and they all knew the cats extremely well. Overall, an absolutely amazing experience. So worth going to visit and pet the cats. We just spent a heavenly hour loving on the sweetest cats at the Witty Whisker. We were more than happy to pay the $12/person admission fee to go into the immaculately clean cat room, knowing that the proceeds support the work the cafe does to care for and adopt out these lovely pets through their partner rescue. The cats were so sweet and obviously extremely well cared-for. The nice thing about the cat room is that the cats can choose to be in there to socialize or they can leave through a little kitty door to go into a private space away from people. That means that the 10 or so cats available really WANTED human connection! While we didn't eat, we did have fun shopping in their adorable gift shop and my husband - a coffee aficionado- really enjoyed his espresso prepared by the warm and welcoming barista. I learned the hard way & didn't book an online reservation so we could not go inside the cat lounge due to it already being fully booked! We decided to hangout in the cafe area, ordered coffees and a few sweets to just enjoy the atmosphere. Food: 10/10 Drinks were great! I ordered a limited time Chocolate Strawberry latte and my husband ordered a mocha latte. I would've happily bought something from their café with me and my six guest. We popped in with our two kids before we hit the City of Saint Augustine for the day. It's a cute cafe that has a bunch of cats and kittens. It's a $10 donation per person to go into the cat lounge and you can spend as long as you want there. Since we had a lot on the agenda, we spent about an hour there to get our cat fix. You're welcome to get something from the lounge such as coffee, tea, pastries, or something other to drink before entering the cat lounge. The staff went over the rules prior to entering and I went in with my kids while my husband hung in the cafe area. My kids and I were in awe of all of the kittens and cats that were there. There is plenty of play and relax areas for the cats to explore and be entertained. Some of the cats were curious and loved playing with the people that were there. This is a cute coffee shop with even cuter entertainment. The coffee was amazing and the kitties were gorgeous. I spent my time just letting them walk around and sipping coffee. I love that the walls are decorated with previous cafe goers that got adopted. These kinds of places do something very cool where they create a community space for both cats and cat lovers. Was visiting for the first time and left super disappointed. Walked up to the register and it seemed that the barista couldn't care less about having us there. Told her it was our first time and she was not helpful in explaining how anything works. Let alone that you have to PAY to pet the cats. It was $11 for the 3 of us to sit with the cats for an hour. The allure of a "Cat Cafe" is obviously the cats, however, our experience was awkward and off putting before we got inside the cafe by an employee greeting my family at the door and telling me to move my truck due to it being too large and obscuring the view of the little patio table outside of the cafe. Not a great start. When then are told that in order to actually pet the cats, it's $11 per person. We ended up getting a Chai tea and some ice blended coffees. While the price wasn't bad - about $6 per drink - the drinks weren't blended. We ended up watching the cats through a window from the cafe portion, missing out on the fun that is the actual Cat Cafe. Imagine that Narcos meme of Pablo Escobar standing by himself all alone. That was us while being talked down to by the Cat Cafe staff. read more

f you love cats this place is a must! It's really not too far from downtown (I would still recommended biking or driving) and is such a relaxing experience. They have a large menu of snacks, coffee and wine! My husband got an americano with almond milk and I got a Cabernet, both delicious! We spent about 2 hours here on a rainy afternoon and it was so cozy and fun. They have so many sweet cats with tons of toys to interact with them. I wanted to take so many home and tbt good news is you can! They offer adoptions at a super reasonable rate. Everyone that works here is so sweet and knows the cats well, it such a pleasure to get insights on the cats personalities. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte and I got a cinnamon cat on top of my foam! lol~ it is the little things that make me happy! I chatted with the ladies and showed off my kitty pictures and eventually made my way to the lounge. Taco- a black cat with a nipped ear and a little white spot on his chest greeted me, he came over to be pet and then promptly laid down and exposed his belly to me~ yes, I am a cat whisperer. Next up- another black cat, named Dragon. Followed by a slightly skittish black and white tuxedo girl who was leaning into pets but swishing her tail violently like she was agitated. Mixed signals be damned- she wanted lovin! A cutie little tabby was very playful with everyone, chasing the feather stick and eventually allowed me to pet him (?). There were others- sleeping in the window, bathed in sun. Sleeping in the doll house- converted into cat lounges. I think there were ten cats. Rose- who was sleeping in the window was such a dear. After almost everyone had left the lounge- she got up and climbed up my chest kneaded me, head but me and nose kissed me!!! Purring all the while. She tempted me~ Adopt, don't buy. All the cats are used to people. That doesn't mean all want to be pet and let and pet. You just have to know when a cat is done getting affection. Some sleep through it all. Some play with you. Some just didn't you fascinating. The cafe has some drinks and coffees. I'm not familiar with St Sebastian Winery but appreciate the Cafe is serving local. We had espresso which was fantastic. My mom tried the rose espresso which she said was just like having a rose petal in her espresso and it was very good. Cute cafe that we drove by when we were on our way into St Augustine. We looked at reviews and it was positive. We noticed you have to make a reservation as well. Of note, it's $11/person! Wowza! That's ridiculous but I'm hoping those funds will go towards a good use. The cats were all sweet, fairly chill and very well cared for. The kitty litter boxes are in a separately attached room which is awesome for minimizing smells. So yeah, we spent $55 or so for a family of four to enter and play and two small bags of kitty treat and small bag of organic catnip. I didn't try any beverages sadly because we had spent so much already. The front lady was pleasant and chitchatted. She seemed miffed though when I didn't tip. Their hours showed 8 pm closing time on Yelp. Got there 10 minutes to 6:00 pm when they told us they were closing early at 6 and that we only had 10 mins to play with the cats. My son was so disappointed so we decided to take the 10 mins since we drove all the way there. They still charged us $10 each for 10 mins and we couldn't even order a drink. When we entered, we could only pet one cat because all the other people were with the other cats. If you want to spend time with cats or want to adopt a cat, go to a local shelter instead and save your money. The smell as you enter is also not enticing at all. It smells like an animal shelter so you probably won't want to order a latte or drink of any kind. read more

We called in at 9:30 and asked if they had room. She said she did for us two so we ran over and grabbed a coffee and brownie. The coffee was delicious and got a few little stuffed animals for my girls. When we got to interact with the cats they were so cute and sweet. This is the best one I have been to.
