Fantastic service, John was upfront, transparent, and accurate with his quoting. Arrived on time,…read moreand finished in short order, totally cleaned our sectional and ottoman. The ottoman had a horrific cat puke stain (wet food salmon, sat for 7-8 hours before we noticed) that we tried to remove, but only made things worse. Thought we might have ruined the ottoman for good, but Eco King made it look brand new, very impressed. Also impressed that there wasn't any harsh chemicals being used, no smell, and when John was leaving, I mentioned that I accidentally stained my car seat with coffee. He took out a spray bottle and cleaned that too, looks brand new again. Amazing, totally worth the price. Will definitely use their services again.

This got really weird really fast after I posted this review…read more John called me the next day, having figured out who I was - to complain about the "bad" review I had written. I had actually given him 4 stars because of the quality of the work, deducting one because of the hose length situation. I don't know on which planet a 4 star review is a bad one, but yeah. He was *really* upset, claiming that nothing I had said about the hose situation ever happened because the bulk of his business was actually apartment buildings and hotels, so *of course* he had had plenty of hose. He denied asking to go through a window - and among a couple of other strange claims, he actually tried to tell me that *I* had told him to stop cleaning my hallway halfway back! Seriously?? We went back and forth, and the upshot was I asked him to come back. I was disappointed that his first available appointment wasn't for a week or so, and then he said h

Can I leave to get food or will I miss my install? NEVER AGAIN. Do better Empire.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after months of trying to work with Empire, I feel obligated…read moreto share my experience. We hired Empire in April to replace the carpet on our covered porch and paid our deposit with the understanding that the installation required approximately 48 hours of suitable weather before and after the project due to the adhesive specifications. Living in the Pittsburgh area, I completely understood that weather could delay scheduling, and I was prepared to be flexible. What I was not prepared for was repeated cancellations during the best weather windows of the entire season. On one occasion, we removed all of our porch furniture and prepared everything for installation, only to have the appointment cancelled. After I called to explain that we had an upcoming party and really needed to take advantage of the rare stretch of perfect weather, the installation manager assured me someone would come the following day. The next morning, I received a call telling me that "none of the installers took your job." I was then promised the job would be completed the following Monday or Tuesday. It wasn't. Instead, I received another generic rescheduling notification. This pattern continued over and over until the weather inevitably changed and the ideal installation conditions were gone. I escalated the issue to corporate customer service, documented the entire timeline, and simply asked for assurance that my next scheduled installation would actually happen. I never received a response, let alone a resolution. After months of waiting, repeated rescheduling, broken promises, and no confidence that my project would ever actually be assigned to an installer, I ultimately cancelled my order. The most frustrating part is that weather was never the biggest obstacle. When ideal weather conditions existed, Empire repeatedly failed to capitalize on them. For a company that installs outdoor flooring requiring very specific weather conditions, that is simply unacceptable. If you're considering Empire for an outdoor installation, be prepared for the possibility that your project may continue to be pushed back, even when conditions are perfect. I wish I had a better experience to share.
