    Pork empanada
    Jose M.

Great food had the Cuban sandwich and pork empanada. The pork empanada has to be made right in order to taste good. This was perfectly seasoned and perfectly fried.

    Prices.

This was convenient being that it's right outside the Hampton. I thought it was overpriced but I will say the portions were very generous. The Cuban didn't taste authentic but it wasn't bad. The fries, they were definitely fried in old oil. The empanada was super stuffed with chicken, it was basically a meal sized empanada. Surely there are better places but for convenience, this works.

So happy we tried this food truck!!! Everything we got tasted very delicious. The cuban sandwich was so good!! A lot of tender pieces of pork! I skipped the fries so I could eat the whole thing. The sweet plantains were very tasty as well. My hubby had the ribs, cuban rice and beans. He absolutely loved the rice and beans. The meat fell right off the bone. He tried my sandwich and really liked it as well. We also got the cheese sticks, those were so good!

The service was top notch. After a long day of flying and being half starved we pulled up to our hotel and seen they were open. Food was fresh, fast and delicious. Totally recommend the chicken empanadas! You won't be disappointed grabbing a bite there.

Good food but expensive! Arepas are almost $20 and ribs are almost $30. Super expensive for a food truck

Location is incorrect, waste of gas & time. Did not answer when I tried to call. They should update their location and hours.

Pork sandwich was amazing as was the empanada. Outdoor seating would have been okay if not for the tropical weather.

Choosing which lobster or yellowtail from the ice counter you want them to prepare, and how you want it prepared, is a fun part of the dining experience for us. Occasionally they have hog snapper or another fresh catch available. The fried lobster tail was fantastically seasoned with a little kick, and I've never had it prepared this way, chopped up into bite-sized pieces. Very filling and we could have shared one, but we still managed to devour both tails and left very full and satisfied. Each tail, including one side, was about $40 - but market price items vary based on size and weight of what's available that day. There are also plenty of less expensive options on the menu. One of my favorites is the yellowtail sandwich. And if you get there before 7:00pm you can order some oysters and lobster croquettes from the happy hour menu. Captain Jim's is a casual and comfortable restaurant with marine decor where the food is the star. Service is always friendly, helpful, and attentive.

This is a true workingman's kind of place, affordable, unpretentious, and focused on what matters most: fresh seafood done right. It smells like a fish market when you walk in, which honestly just tells you everything is fresh. The portions are generous, the flavors are spot on, and you will not leave hungry. It's the kind of place where the food speaks for itself, no gimmicks, just solid, satisfying meals at a great price. If you want fancy, go somewhere else. If you want real seafood that fills you up and keeps you coming back, this is the spot.

Okay first off, this place did not look like what I imagined at all from the outside. It is in a…read moresketchy looking area of town and the front looks run down. It is a seafood market on the front that you walk through to the back patio where the dining is. We were greeted by our server. I wish I could remember his name but he was funny. Great with suggestions. We were trying to decide from garlic sauce, to creole to blackened, etc. He was super helpful. He also kept stopping by and chatting with us from time to time. he noticed we had an MSC Cruise tag on our luggage and mentioned he used to work for them. Small world. My husband ended up getting the conch (he had it 3 different ways in the Bahamas and wanted to try it here) and shrimp in the creole sauce with fried rice and botanas. I got the lobster and shrimp in the scampi sauce with the fried rice and black beans. PLUS our server threw in a side salad for free. I will say this is a TON of food. I couldn't finish it all and it made me sad because we had to go to the airport right afterwards so I couldn't take the leftovers with me. The lobster was cooked well and the shrimp were huge. Love the scampi sauce. if you like garlic, this is for you. The fried rice is seafood fried rice. It has shrimp, scallops and maybe other seafood in it and it is a large portion. I liked the black beans as well. Just too much food. Great place though. I so would go back and eat here again. Maybe next time just get the shrimp for a smaller portion.
