Pan con Bistec & Leche Maltiada

OHHH WOW!!!!! The Pan con Bistec was delicious. They cook it fresh in front of you. The Cuban bread was soft and fresh. The leche maltiada was perfect! I recommend this place

The croquette and the Cuban were delicious. Friendly, quick service. The decor was relaxing. I would go back anytime!

Pan con bistec sandwich was pretty good. I imagined something better if you are going to name your entire store after this. You can find a better and cheaper version else where but it was good. Went to claim the Yelp check in offer and they did not honor it. They said it was old and had not been updated that they no longer do the promotion. I said it had no expiration date so they should really consider removing it from the page then if they are not going to offer it. Place was ok.

If you're from out of town or local and like or want to try a good Pan Con Bistec. This is a must try. Place is not big and it's bar style seating with two small tables in the back.

A lot of places on 8st do not have bacon with their breakfast but this place does and we are so satisfied nice and crispy as requested same with the French fries. Def found our new breakfast spot on 8st. No complaints and the service was great too. Very nice and efficient eggs are fluffy too

What a great little place with a good amount of sandwich selection as well as Daily Specials! They have the familiar juices and smoothies! They have the "drinks that Help". Interesting names! Counter service with a couple of tables in the back. It is a small establishment but big enough not to feel crowded.Ordered pan con bistec, of course! It was made as we waited. Nice and fresh! Great taste.. The size of the sandwich was plentiful for $5.75 reasonable! When you check In with Yelp there is a free juice. Recommend! Will return ! Did I mention they are open 24 hours!

As we walked down calle ocho we were starving and came across this little gem. The pan con bistec was delicious! And the smoothie was beyond delicious!!! You can never go wrong with Mamey smoothies. The service was great, our server was so friendly and helpful

Friendly staff, amazing sandwiches! Get the steak sandwich, you won't regret it! We gobbled down some pastries and flushed it with Cuban coffee and milk shake! Drinks were sweet and refreshing, just as they should be! On our trip we went back next day also for breakfast because we liked the atmosphere, the friendly staff and the sweet coffee!

1. Steak Sandwich it was delicious!

The menu is extensive, offering so many authentic Cuban favorites that it can be hard to decide what to order. I've been here multiple times, and honestly, I haven't had a single dish that I didn't enjoy. Everything I've tried has been flavorful, satisfying, and worth coming back for. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, so even though it's popular, it does a great job accommodating guests. The lively atmosphere adds to the overall experience and gives you a true taste of Miami's Cuban culture. Don't leave without stopping by the bakery next door! It's the perfect way to end your meal, with an incredible selection of pastries, desserts, coffee, and other sweet treats. Even if you're already full, it's worth grabbing something to enjoy later. My husband ordered the picadillo with rice and black beans, my son had the vaca frita with rice and black beans, and both enjoyed a side of tostones. I chose the rionada with congrí and sweet plantains. Overall, the food was delicious, flavorful, and satisfying. The only disappointment was the tostones. They were a bit bland and not as crispy as we prefer. Everything else, however, was excellent. The service was outstanding; friendly, attentive, and efficient, even with the restaurant packed. Every area was bustling, from the dining room to the bakery and takeout counters, yet everything seemed well organized. The restaurant itself was clean and very well maintained. To finish our meal, the three of us shared a flan, and it was absolutely delicious; the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. I have to admit, we were enjoying our conversation so much that I completely forgot to take pictures! That's probably a good sign that we were too busy enjoying the food and each other's company. Versailles remains one of Miami's iconic Cuban restaurants, and it's definitely a place worth visiting. We'll certainly be back.

We started with the grilled octopus, which was absolutely outstanding and one of our favorite dishes of the night. I also ordered their take on a Moscow Mule, and it was refreshing, well-balanced, and delicious. For the main course, we shared two of the specials--the red snapper and the meat platter. Both were excellent, and the portions were generous enough to comfortably feed our group of six. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. The live Cuban music, energetic entertainment, and vibrant ambiance create such a fun and memorable experience. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helped make the evening even more enjoyable. A couple of things to know before you go: reservations are definitely recommended because the restaurant is very popular, and tables are limited to a two-hour seating. If you'd like to continue the night, you can always move over to the bar, which keeps the great energy going. If you're looking for authentic Cuban food, fantastic cocktails, and a lively night out, Café La Trova is absolutely worth visiting!

An older waitress served our table. She first brought us calamari that was undercooked, sticky, and raw. She replaced it with octopus, which was more expensive, and we agreed to keep it. We also asked for tap water, but she brought us bottled water instead, which cost $10. The restaurant was very dark, making it difficult to notice these things right away. Before we had a chance to review everything, the food was already served. When the check arrived, she pressured me to pay quickly, so I didn't have enough time to carefully review the bill. Later, I realized we had been charged for additional side dishes that we never ordered, which increased the total significantly. This restaurant is wonderful and doesn't need these kinds of tactics. I only wish they employed more honest waitstaff. My advice is to carefully check your order and your bill before paying so you don't end up spending extra money or dealing with unnecessary stress that could ruin an otherwise enjoyable evening. I truly loved the atmosphere and the food, but I was very disappointed by the service. For me, the ambiance and food deserve 5 stars, while the service deserves only 1 star. That averages out to a 3-star review.

I think she stole our table from someone else because shortly after someone came and we told them we put our order in and he seemed a little bothered. Unfortunately, our other server disappeared and never checked up on us. We pretty much didn't have any napkins during our entire duration of our meal. At least that part was good. We started off with a couple of mojitos and their Vaca Frita Tostones. You get these homemade maduro tostones topped off with shreeded beef in a moon sauce, pickled onion, and aji Amarillo aioli. A very delicious dish that didn't last long. Shortly after we received our main dish. I really hate when they do that. My wife ordered their Abuelas Ropa Vieja and I ordered their Masa de Puerco Chino. My wife didn't really care for her dish much. We've had plenty of Ropa Vieja before and would have preferred a congri type of rice as opppsed to just plain white rice. My dish was 10/10. Like in the name of "chino" this is an Asian inspired dish with fried rice, maduros, pineapple confit and crispy pork. A very delicious dish. It could have don't without the little salad on top, but at least it ads color to the dish. The crispy pork tasted so amazing and the fried had so much flavor. Mix in some of the maduros and you get a sweet and savory dish. Would definitely be returning to try this dish again.
