I read about Fritz's when I was in line at the DMV next door. The reviews looked good and I was ready for a snack, so I decided to give it a shot. Apparently their claim to fame is German sticky buns. Oooo sticky buns. I never get them because truly good and fresh ones are very hard to find, but here I was immediately all in. Their buns looked amazing! They have a few varieties too, topped with nuts, glazed, cinnamon, etc. Man these things were so good, and they only cost a buck or so! I was also pretty stoked to have been up sold on a container of optional butter cream which made for excellent dipping. Side note, I also picked up some butter cookies and they too were delicious, so these guys are not one hit wonders. Will definitely be back at Fritz's to sample more of the goods. read more

The cinnamon buns are absolutely the best, with or without nuts and raisins - cream cheese icing is heaven in your mouth. Look i like cakes as much as the next guy and I am not super critical. So when looking for good cakes, this place came up and we bought into the reviews and got a cake too. Our cake was hard, overly sugary and as below average as you can get. I've had supermarket cakes that are better. Overrated and disappointed are the words that come to mind. I'm beginning to think the people that have left glowing reviews have never had an actual good tasting cake to go nuts over a fondant based sugar castle. One word: WOW! I messaged Fritz's two weeks ago about a custom cake that I had wanted to have made for my best friends birthday. I looked at some cakes online and found one I really liked and sent them the picture. The picture I had sent was a two tier cake and they told me that it served 30/40 people and would be a bit expensive. They could have not told me the price and said two tiers would be perfect for our party of 12, but instead they told me they could make a one tier cake for $30! Not only did they get every detail perfectly, they suggested I get these Stitch cake toppers and they positioned them. The best part, the cake was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I wasn't expecting it to be THAT good because I've been let down by cakes so many times before...but Fritz's did NOT disappoint, wow! The original Fritz's was located in croydon and was a very small place. The original location has closed but the Bensalem and Langhorne stores are much bigger and are now full bakeries. The sticky buns are amazing. You can even get a round or square cake sticky bun which are always a hit at a party. The desserts all look amazing but I haven't tried them it's hard to go there and not get the sticky buns. The prices are about average for a bakery. read more

I couldn't be happier we went to Fritz's for our wedding cupcakes. It took less than 20 minutes to meet with their amazing decorator, decide on a plan, pay, and get out the door. We didn't see the cupcakes until our reception and they NAILED IT!! They looked amazing and tasted decadent. Everyone loved them. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Totally seamless and affordable. Oh and if cupcakes aren't your thing, their sticky buns will be. We didn't order them for the wedding but we stop by and grab one when we're nearby. read more

This business came highly recommended. This was my first visit ever today. I arrived at 2:30p and noticed a sign on the door that it was closing at 3p. Posting this review for my mother: While I was a repeat customer of Fritz's bakery, I have to say I am so disappointed with what I received today. I ordered a 60th birthday cake for my husband's birthday. I requested it be beach themed (which did cost me extra, something I don't ever do but as this is a very special birthday for him I splurged). The cake I received was in a box for a cake much larger. This and the fact that the cake was not "glued down" with icing to the bottom cardboard caused the cake to shift on the way home (a very short drive, while I am also a VERY careful driver) and now it is messed up. I am so disappointed and hope this doesn't happen to another Fritz's customer in the future. read more

Bakery goods like the cinnamon buns, danish, are certainly worth the money...the special order cakes, on the other hand, are a bit too expensive for what you get. Yay! I'm a fan is pretty much hitting it on the nail. I LOVE cinnamon buns, I have been one to sneak in an entenmann's one from wawa every now and then devouring in 2 seconds. Well Frit's is WAY better then Entenmann's. My boyfriend and I went on a rainy afternoon. We were shocked to see the place was empty. We had trouble deciding between the sticky buns and cinnamon rolls but decided to go with the cinnamon rolls with frosting. We brought them home, put it in the oven for like 5 minutes, took one bite and were transported to cinnamon roll heaven. There was a bit too much frosting but I'm always happy to see more of something then less of it, especially when I can just scrape it off. The rolls were delicious. We split one that day and another the next, fighting over who got the bigger piece. Next time I'm not sharing. We will be sure to try other things and post later. read more
