Their coffee was delicious as well. On a whim we decided to get pancakes to share. Well, the pancakes are the size of a plate, thick yet fluffy and there are 3 of them!! I need to have them again! I adored their original location, as it was super quaint, quirky and cozy. When they first moved to this new spot, it felt a bit more clinical and commercial but they've done a great job of personalizing it, and I'm happy they kept a lot of the original furniture. My favorite item on their menu is the Whitefish Toast -- it comes on a fresh, thick, hearty piece of seeded toast, and the whitefish salad is dressed with pickled carrots and micro greens. It's a pretty generous portion at a reasonable price. I also love their seasonal Campfire latte, which is a rich, creamy delight with a touch of sweetness. On this visit, they had run out of the marshmallow topping but they kindly offered a partial refund to make up for it. The only downside is that this place gets packed early; by 8:45am, the only seat available was in the window. People seem to post up for the day with their laptops, and while everyone loves a good coffee shop work sesh, it seems ownership may need to institute a time limit so others can enjoy the atmosphere as well. Flourish is not your daily breakfast spot but definitely one we recommend and will revisit on occasion.

I'm proud to say Playa Bowls has never done that to me. And this Playa has always gotten my annoying custom order exactly right. I add a lot of toppings, get a mixed base, so I know it's a pain, but it comes out perfect every time. And unlike some other places, their mango is always sweet and the chunks are never too gigantic to chew. Most likely they are trying to get ahead of things so at 9 they can leave. I understand that, however, if the store closes at 9 customers should be able to get items until at least 15 mins prior. The last time they actually said they could not give me anything because the acai was too hard. Tonight I arrived approx 8:20 and after my bowl was made the staff member gave me my bowl and said sorry we are out of honey. I find that hard to believe. The store opens tomorrow morning and honey will be needed for orders. My guess is it was already put away and she didn't feel like getting it out again. Very disappointing and unprofessional. The bowls are not the same, in my opinion, without honey. Please educate staff on customer service and the time they can clean/pack up, not make orders. If orders are limited after 8:15 please post that so customers are aware to arrive before that time or they risk not getting what they want. Thank you

Being set back allows them to have a quiet outdoor seating area with plenty of shade which you pass by on your way inside. I ordered an iced almond milk latte, my warm weather go to. The counter person asked if I wanted any flavor/syrup and, while I usually don't because I don't like sweet coffee, I acquiesced because she said she could make sure it wasn't super sweet but I still got the flavor. This was quite literally the BEST iced almond milk latte I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. The salted caramel syrup lent just a hint of sweetness but full flavor. The espresso was flawless. I sipped my latte while walking back down Main Street to my car in 80° weather with flowers blooming and birds chirping and it was the perfect lunch break treat. I will be back.
