Set just outside of the city proper, across from the hardware store, the location seems a bit out of the way for this sort of shop. But it was well worth the walk because they carried so many cute things. Upon entering, we we warmly greeted. While there, the ladies asked if we needed help a couple of times. I felt that the service was very professional but not intrusive. I was surprised to see so much in this small boutique. They carry denim, dresses, tops, bottoms and accessories. I felt the clothes catered to a more adult woman rather than the younger shoppers. Everything looked really cute. The price point is on the higher side so be prepared.

I asked if we could take pictures and Bonnie told us that the owner does not allow for photos to be taken, as she prefers to post photos on her own website as well as posting them herself on yelp. Ok. Walked in and there was not a soul in sight except for Bonnie. She was seated in a clear plastic chair by the main dink's size table and welcomed us in. She asked if we were looking for anything particular. We told her we were just looking. She explained to us that with the winter sale that many items are 90% off, but was cash only. There are many clothing racks as well as jewelry that was discounted but was cash only. Most of the accessories and some of the clothing racks could be charged. Sunglasses are original price $95, but were discounted by 80%, they could be charged. They had a lot of costume jewelry, some we're very different looking, but nothing really caught my eye. They had a lot of necklaces, dangled earrings as well as hoop style earrings and lots of rhinestone gilded pieces. Scarves as well as stretchable totes. The owner, who is Italian gets a lot of her clothing from New York, many of the pieces reminded me of French, Italian or European style clothing. It was still nice to drop in from the cold for a spell.

When I walked in a few minutes before closing, the two ladies working were still kind and welcoming. They didn't make me feel rushed at all. There wasn't too much inventory but I ended up with a really cute grey blazer for work $20, a butter dish $1.50, and a beautifully giving spider plant with a vase $5. They were having a 50% off moving sale so I managed to get some scores. The only thing I passed on was the rose brooch and I'll forever regret it haha. Ironically while leaving the store I said to my daughter, "while I could get all of these items for a fraction of the cost on Amazon I don't mind paying more to support a local business." We then got into our car, she opened the squishy and after simply taking it out of the packaging it popped, exploding sand all over my car. After spending an hour vacuuming my car, I went back with the popped/defective item and asked for a simple exchange. (Note the cost of this item was $6.99). The manager refused to exchange it. Instead I was told that because the store has no way to verify the quality of its toys, it passes on the cost of such risk to its consumer. Notably, the store obviously chooses the products it purchases and then marks up for retail. As a regular customer at this store, it's not about the measly 7 bucks. It's the principle and the lack of customer service offered. Apparently the store knows that it operates more as a tourist trap and that the majority of its customers are visitors. In any event, I will not be returning and would highly recommend that all New Buffalo visitors avoid shopping here.

All of their goodies are displayed in what would have been the different rooms of the old house. I found it to be very spacious and easy to navigate. The hardwood floors, cheerfully painted walls and big windows added to the sweet charm this business offers. I loved all the cute toys and accessories. They had so many different healthy treat choices too. I ended up purchasing my Grand dog treats that look like cowboy hats and a stuffed toy that looks like a camera. She loved them!! The man working was so friendly and helpful. He assisted us with knowledge and professionalism. I appreciated all of his help. The next time I'm back in town, I'll be sure to stop in again for a unique toy and healthy treats.
