There are stairs to second floor. There is a freight elevator which could be used for accommodation but I did not ask. Aisles are wide and booths are well organized. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. They offer a free cup of coffee or tea to shoppers. The restroom is accessible and clean. Booths contain everything from vintage clothing and furniture, new and used items and antiques, glassware, sports and modern collectibles, jewelry and everything in between. Prices are very reasonable. This store is very close to Indiana Dunes and Dune Acres. It's a fun way to pass some time and wait for that special item "to call your name'.

the store has a lovely variety of items and the staff are helpful and friendly. i am uncomfortable…read moreseeing so much focus on harry potter, considering how the author is hateful and donates profits from the series to promote a bigoted worldview. even secondhand, i'd say it promotes her legacy and personally i feel unwelcome as a trans person when stores heavily promote merchandise tied to such a bigoted author who is actively working to make my life worse. i also suspect that some art pieces in the store are ai generated; that bothers me bc of ethical concerns like the environmental toll and how it scrapes from artists without their permission. i'd rather support actual artists. i do like this store overall, i just wish they'd reconsider featuring franchises from authors who are against human rights and have more products from real people. i don't think there's bad intentions and i hope this doesn't come across too harshly, this is just me hoping that a store i enjoy will become even more enjoyable.

Well anyway, I noticed that Chelle's and Green Garage were nowhere to be found on Yelp so I decided to fix that. As far as I know, Chelle's and Green Garage are owned by the same person. While Green Garage is more antique furniture and home decor focused, Chelle's has a ton of super cute and cool clothing plus jewelry, shoes, soaps, and other fun stuff. I initially found it while walking my dog through Chesterton one morning and then quickly returned with my mother to do some serious shopping. The items in this store can be a bit expensive, however, it all appeared to be "Made in the USA" and environmentally-friendly products. I LOVE that she has sale racks full of awesome clothes, really cute dresses for reasonable prices, and I even ended up with this great product I can spray on my dog to keep him from getting all stinky.
