He was professional, honest, and didn't try to sell us on anything unnecessary. In fact, he insisted on not charging us, saying he likes to "sleep peacefully at night." That says a lot about his character. Despite having completed our home inspection many months ago, as we settled into our home, we realized small things here and there that we didn't notice earlier. Every time we encountered something new, we thought any one of these questions - What can be causing this? How did this happen? How can we fix this? Will this cost much? Is this a small or big problem? The bottom line was where do we go from there?! ... JOHN to the rescue! Every time we had a question, not often, but the few times we did, we took John up on his generous offer of reaching out to him and, NOT ONCE, did John fail to respond within 1 day! Even the air duct contractor went to attic to clean dryer vent and warned me there is unusual moisture in the attic. (He is surprised how come my home inspector did not bring it up?) It turned out that the moisture is mainly caused by pest urine. I can't believe it and wish this could have been brought up by this inspector. He does not have to put it on inspection report, but all I want is a friendly reminder that could have saved me lots of pain. I would not recommend this inspector unless you do not care about wildlife infestation that a seller chose not to disclose and inspection failed to find out. And you as the new home owner, are fine with spotting a random rat at home while spending thousands to repair damage afterwards.
