He then went over the key points with us and provided a detailed 95 page report with pictures and description of each and every issue, as well as a separate short 7 page summary report. I would recommend Clever Inspections to my relatives and best friends. I am sure you will be satisfied with the service. I compared prices with three other providers and Clever Inspections, though not the lowest, provided the most thorough estimate and they more than lived up to their promise. A few of the many photos provided are attached.

He came on time, communicated clearly, checked everything in the unit very carefully, and delivered us a high quality report with not only a list of any things he found but also recommendations on how to maintain or fix findings. He also helped accommodate requests for what to look for too. On top of this, once we moved in to the unit we had some questions about his findings and tips for fixing some home issues and he thoughtfully helped advise us. Value (5/5): The value and price for the service was competitive and I highly recommend him.

After several estimates, I landed on All County. I recommend them, but with some major reservations, and here are the deets: Sales: very responsive (naturally! They want your business.), and thorough with answering questions and explaining the process. Price: competitive with all the other estimates I got. Project: this is where things start to get dicey. Guys showed up on time. No project leader, just the workers. Language barriers made communication tricky at times. This was problematic as the salesman had described a certain construction approach, but these guys were doing something else. I had to call the salesman a couple of times during construction for clarification or for him to speak with the workers. That should have been a red flag. Also, this work was done in winter, and although it seems like common sense in hindsight, no one told me to turn off the central forced air heat. A fine layer of dust coated everything in my home (and some of the flooring they dug up in the basement to install the French drain was asbestos tile...ugh). How could they not ensure the heat was off before starting such a messy project?! Afterwards Part 1: I began getting water in areas of my basement I'd never had water before (although the original damp area, which had prompted me to install French drains in the first place, remained dry). I had to call the salesman several times in the weeks and months that followed. To his credit, he was always very responsive, although he couldn't understand or explain what was going on. After several months of repeated calls and visits, they finally decided to dig up the flooring in the area where I was getting the most water. Again, workers showed up with no project leader and a major language barrier. What they uncovered was incredibly suspicious to me: there was a quarter-sized hole in the main sewer pipe (that pipe was jutting out of my basement floor in an area that had been dug up to install the drains and was located in the area where water would occasionally mysteriously appear). The workers showed it to me, and it was evident "someone" had accidentally punctured the pipe and tried to repair it by gluing a bent metal piece over the hole. The guys cemented it up with waterproof cement and repaired the area of the floor they'd dug up. The alternative would have been to replace the entire pipe for mega $$$$, which I refused to do since they assured me their fix should be adequate. They did not charge me for this work, and rightfully so. Afterwards Part 2: I was having a final inspection for a new furnace that had been installed four years ago (yes, my town was late to the party!). The furnace was fine, but the inspector found a huge crack in one of the vents coming out of the furnace. The ductwork was tucked away in a corner area behind the furnace that's tight and not easy to get to, an area where no one would ever go...unless you were installing French drains and needed to access the entire perimeter of my basement! The inspector said the crack meant that the furnace was just blowing carbon monoxide back into my home(!). I had to get that repaired at my expense. Since the furnace was only four years old and everything was on good order except the crack, it was obvious it had been damaged (as opposed to a defect due to age). Of course, there's no evidence either of these damages were caused by All County. However, both were issues that didn't arise until AFTER they installed the drains. And both were problems that were located in areas of my basement that only they had been in or had access to. At the end of the day, it would seem the water issue was addressed. However, the French drains cost me much more than just French drains when all was said and done. If you use All County, proceed with caution.

He is so willing to help, take his time, explain things and most importantly he wants the client happy and their issue resolved. Tyler came to my home to assess a mold issue as a result of vents leaking water. This has been an ongoing process for the last few years, I have had various types of contractors come to assess (for the last 3 years!) where-the leak was coming from and I was left never really knowing or given an extremely high estimate to "redo" something that in the end didn't need to be "redone". Tyler had the mold tested and the results were sent to me in a matter of days!! Tyler not only found the issue, he even gave me a reference to repair the leak and even Tylers contact returned the call immediately and were so helpful. I highly recommend Tyler, he is so professional, knowledgeable, and he has availability weekdays, week nights and weekends. As a single person who works outside the house, I really appreciated that too!

When he arrived, he really took the time to listen to our concerns and even asked to see some photos to get a better idea of what we were dealing with. After taking a look, he explained that the issue was actually outside the scope of what he usually inspects. But instead of just walking away, he stuck around, explained everything clearly, and gave us some super helpful advice. You can tell John really knows his stuff. He was professional, honest, and didn't try to sell us on anything unnecessary. In fact, he insisted on not charging us, saying he likes to "sleep peacefully at night." That says a lot about his character. He even sent us detailed suggestions on how to handle the problem--what kind of work would be needed, the materials to use, and even what kind of handyman to look for. He also gave us a few referrals to get started. We were originally planning a much more expensive fix, but thanks to his knowledgeable advice, we are able to switch to a more practical option and hence cut the cost in half. We really appreciate his honesty and guidance. He is the kind of handyman you would like to work with, especially for people like us after working with various dishonest handman/plumbers...He is definitely someone we'd trust and would go to for our future home improvement projects.

Despite having completed our home inspection many months ago, as we settled into our home, we realized small things here and there that we didn't notice earlier. Every time we encountered something new, we thought any one of these questions - What can be causing this? How did this happen? How can we fix this? Will this cost much? Is this a small or big problem? The bottom line was where do we go from there?! ... JOHN to the rescue! Every time we had a question, not often, but the few times we did, we took John up on his generous offer of reaching out to him and, NOT ONCE, did John fail to respond within 1 day! Not only has John been extremely cordial and professional with every communication we had with him, but he takes the time to write out detailed, technical and specific instructions on how we could resolve our home issues. Honestly, we would be so lost without his guidance and advice, but he has made our transition into our home less stressful. Like I said in my earlier review, John was recommended by our realtor and we truly believe this was, hands down, the BEST recommendation out of all of the recommendations we received.

As a new homeowner I had no idea what it was which was my fault in not researching further. Nonetheless, I reached out to Simple Tank for removal and I described exactly what it looked like and where the oil tank was located, which was above ground in my backyard. I even mentioned that there may have been car oil as the previous owners may have been mechanics. I went through the whole process of having them remove it just to be told they couldn't because it wasn't an actual oil tank which was fine but the representative I spoke to was kind of rude about the whole situation, she cut me off multiple times as I was speaking, she spoke to me as if I was a child and a bit unprofessional. I did enjoy speaking with Tiffany though, she was helpful the whole time of me getting my partial refund. For that I am grateful and the reason why I gave there stars instead of one

We had the misfortune of employing him for removal of an oil tank during the sale of our house recently, after we had moved to a different state. The tank was removed and the next day the city inspector passed it for no further action. To our utter surprise, Teddy Slack turned against us and was threatening to report oil contamination to NJDEP and told us that he took soil sample (which we never approved nor requested) that showed soil contamination. We contacted NJDEP and were horrified to discover that Teddy Slack has quite a reputation there! They told us he was not even authorized to collect soil samples. He was running a shady company called Qualified Tank Services that he had shut down. It had a "F" rating in BBB. Google 'BBB and Teddy Slack' and you will see ratings for Qualified Tank Services. https://www.bbb.org/us/nj/lebanon/profile/oil-tank-removal/qualified-tank-services-0221-90078424 So we employed a different oil tank company to get a "No Further Action Report" from NJDEP. We asked Teddy Slack Jr. for these documents (1) local permit for tank removal (2) Tank content and the tank disposal documents. He ignored our repeated requests even after we paid the agreed amount for the tank removal. This delayed our house closing by more than a month and cost us 1000s of dollars. Our advice please avoid this very shady operator!
