If you're in the village of Stone Mountain, give Front Porch Tacos a try. Welcoming. Friendly. Tasty. And inexpensive. These were kind of fusion tacos. A taco purist might object but they were darn good. We both had oxtail tacos accompanied by rice and spicy pinto beans plus a cup of home-made salsa. Great. My wife had a Margarita that made her very happy.

I enjoyed myself here. The staff were friendly, and our food was cooked to order. I didn't get to take pictures of the food because I was laughing and joking, but I just enjoyed myself overall. The head chef made me a lemon margarita with a splash of strawberry, and it was so good. they have a variety of housemate drinks and desserts to try and their tacos were different but good. I like the decor as well.

Ambiance: This place is black owned and is really cute on the inside. Now the inside is not super cold, but cool with more like a fan running vs AC. I had no desire to sit outside b/c it's too hot. Service: The customer service was great and they were patient as I was trying to figure out what to order. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. There is pre-made lemonade, sodas, bottled still water and you can order cocktails or beer. I got a bottled water $3 and a lime margarita $10. Food w. Price: All together I spent about $74. I ate there and took some food togo. I got 2 Mulitas, one with oyster mushrooms for $11.95 and one with chicken (Togo) for $8.95. The Mulita is just a small quesadilla cut in half and served with Consommé. I also got 1 beef birria tacos and 1 chicken bacon ranch taco for $6.95 each. The tacos are served with 2 sides so I chose rice and corn. I also got chicken ramen which was $12.95. Food review: The food is more like tapas due to the small portions. So my recommendation would be to order at least 2 things if you're super hungry. I ate a beef taco (w. sides) and the oyster mushroom mulita while there. The corn and Spanish rice were very plain and needed seasoning. The beef taco needed just a little bit more beef. I appreciated the fact that the Consommé for the vegan oyster mushroom mulita was also vegan. The mulita lacked flavor also. All in all the food was decent it just needs more seasoning. This place is great for lunch or when you want a quick "light" bit since the portion sizes are small but is appropriate in my opinion considering the fact that a taco is $6.95 and it comes with 2 sides. This is a one and done for me because I'd rather stick to my tried and true Mexican spots inside the Mexican grocery stores towards the back. Unless you order multiple items off the menu, you are going to be hungry afterwards. Parking: There is a private lot behind the building and limited street parking.

The beef elote taco blows my mind: the flavor straight up explodes in mouth! Service and ambience also top tier

I think my bf, friend, and I only really enjoyed this place because we were super hungry, and there was slim pickings by Stone Mountain. My bf and friend ordered the gumbo which was really gross and steeping in the microplastic as it was serviced in a quart plastic container. As an alternative, we ordered a nacho dish, then proceeded to order another one because we were soooo hungry. I ordered a taco which was tasty, but the beans and rice sides were nasty. The vibes were interesting and made this a fun experience for us after visiting the amazing Stone Mountain. I'm not sure if it was good or if we were just hungry, but I don't think I can forget this place even if I tried!

Awesome tacos! Something a little different. Great flavors! You owe it to yourself to git you some o' dis!

EVERY time i've ordered on doordash, it's been a horror. the taco sauce is forever missing. this time i ordered today, the tacos weren't even cooked! cold and soggy. also, the rice had such a loud stench and tasted freezer burnt. when i go inside, its a better turn out but on doordash, its horrible!!! wouldn't recommend and also, you can't get ahold of anyone by the phone.. the number listed everywhere goes straight to voicemail and sends a text.

As such, the Yelp reviews are more accurate. PaoPao is a casual eatery that has both ramen selections alongside bubble tea. The space inside is nice but immediately we noted that there wasn't much privacy between tables and we could hear everyone else's conversations. I ordered the Szechuan Tofu Hot Pot. While spicy, it wasn't all too flavorful in terms of all of the ingredients in it. The price also felt a bit high as well. My partner echoed that sentiment when it came to her Black & White Tonkotsu. When we tried the boba, we enjoyed the flavor of the tea. We were immediately met with disappointment however when the actual boba was tasteless. Good texture, but quite literally tasteless. Would we come again? It certainly wouldn't be on the forefront of our minds. However with cold weather and a lack of other ramen options nearby, we may give it a shot down the road. Though I certainly feel like making the trip to Jinya would be better time spent.

We decided to try Slurpin' Ramen Bar first. I had read that they originally started in California so I had a good feeling about it and I'm so glad we went! Their tonkotsu broth was probably the best I've had in the US. It was rich and full of flavor without feeling overly heavy. It was so good that we didn't want to leave any behind so we actually took the leftover broth with us for the 5-hour drive home (thankfully we had a cooler bag!). I immediately had to tell my son who's currently living in LA for college so he can visit one there too. This place is definitely going on our must-visit restaurant list from now on.

First, when you walk into the restaurant, it is very cute, has a bar for solo diners and booths incase you are in a group. The location is very cozy and the employees were great! Our server was very patient and had no problem explaining, re-explaining, and confirming with the chef if he wasn't 100% on an answer. I got a tofu rice bowl, which I typically don't get and it was delicious! I asked if the salad could be put on the side rather than in the bowl and was given a full side salad that I wound up mixing into my rice lol. I also added broccoli to the bowl, which I probably wouldn't do again because it was pretty bland, but overall the bowl was good. Now the vegan dumplings... were FANTASTIC! We shared the dumplings and everyone agreed that they were easily the best thing that we had eaten the whole day. The green color threw me off at first, but the crispiness and texture of the dumpling was amazing. I would love to go back and try the ramen to see how it measures up, but again, great experience. Also, when you are paying the check, they bring you a small bucket full of dum dum lollipops, which I thought was a great touch. Me and my adult guests all left like happy children, which is exactly how eating out should make you feel.

I think it's because of the accessibility of a nice size bar. The other locations I've gone to do not have a bar. The Kennesaw location is located in a plaza with several other establishments. There's plenty of parking. This establishment is a little bit smaller than some of the other others, but they do work very swiftly and it does stay packed, especially on the weekends. My most recent visit was on yesterday as I had a day off and wanted to take time to unwind after my morning appointment. I arrived a little before noon. The bar area had only two people seated, and I was able to easily grab a seat as well. Alex was the bartender during my visit and he was extremely accommodating. My appetizer of choice: Pork Goyza My entrée of choice: Spicy chicken Ramen with extra spice and an egg Initially, I started off with a Coke zero but then said heck why not I'm off today so I indulged in a lychee martini and switched it up to a Ringo Mule (my new fave). It started to get a bit busy about 35 minutes because it was a work week and lunch hour, but it was not overwhelmingly packed. The staff worked very swiftly and greeted every single customer that came in and out. I enjoy this location. The ambiance is always very nice. There's always nice tunes playing and there's also TV is at the bar. Whether you're rolling solo or with a crew, JINYA is a nice little hangout spot. So if you're in the Kennesaw area, go check them out and thank me later. Bon appétit!
