The fried rice is wonderful and the vegetable quality is consistent. They also take care of you with the portion sizes. They are quick, efficient, and error free. It was the quality and taste you'd expect from from a fast food hibachi type place - hit the spot. The one thing I thought could use improvement was the amount of onions in the vegetable hibachi - it was an excessive amount, Seemed like there was a whole onion in there. No carrots included - would have been nice to have a handful thrown in since they appear to be in the kitchen as you can select carrot as a vegetable option on other entrees. If you are looking for the Hibachi taste, but in take-out form, then this is the place for you. By far the best Hibachi spot I found around the area. The sauce is light, so the rice isn't soggy. A very few places to sit down and eat but they do a lot of to-go business. The food is cooked to perfection. I normally get the Chicken Hibachi. I love the steak and shrimp too and the customer service is always amazing. The food is delicious along with the yum yum sauce. I love mixing the yum yum sauce with the Teriyaki sauce. I do wish that there was more veggie options apposed to just onions, and squash. Maybe add broccoli or cabbage too. Either way very good and affordable. Best eaten same day, not as a leftover. It even have nice quirks like 93 cents cans of soda, which I thought was pretty odd pricing until I realized that this state have a 7% sales tax so it comes out to wait even dollar which I thought was pretty nice deal. Linda is absolutely wonderful and kind at her service as always. Not to mention amazing prices too. The service is accurate, when they 15 minutes and your food will be done, it's done in 15 minutes. Restaurant is connected to a Chevron gas station is frowned upon, but they are worth a taste. The parking is little challenging as they only have few spots in front of the restaurant, but you can park in the gas station area for a quick in and out. Owner was super nice! Made sure I was happy with every detail of the food I was getting. I got the chicken hibachi and my husband got the hibachi chicken salad that came with a yummy ginger dressing. I ordered the Hibachi Chicken for $5.99 that included Rice, Chicken, Zucchini, Onions and mushrooms. The entree also includes one Yum Yum Sauce. It was very delicious. The also have Hibachi Steak, Shrimp and Scallops. You can also Mix and Match Combinations. Each Entree is served in regular or large sizes from $5.99 to $12.99. You can choose three options for $14.39. The food is cooked to order and served hot. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and the Cashier was very nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner and I'll be visiting it again real soon. read more

I was in the area passing through on a Saturday afternoon and came across this restaurant on Yelp with a high overall rating. I love Hibachi and was looking for something quick to eat, so I made a to go order online. My order was ready within 10 minutes of placing it. I ordered the regular shrimp and scallop hibachi. Their prices are very reasonable for what you get. The man at the front counter was friendly when he handed me my food. My meal was a large container filled with rice , a sprinkle of vegetables, lots of small shrimp, and small scallops scattered on top of the large mound of rice. A container of yum yum sauce was on the side. The flavor of the meal was very good. There was a perfect blend of sauce . If there were more veggies and less rice and I would have been completely pleased. The shrimp and scallops were ok, but I would not order either again. The veggies were delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly. If I ever come back, I will stick with the veggie hibachi with no protein. read more

The food was extremely tasty and I would have tasted it higher if they had not completely messed up my order. I order the chicken hibachi with extra chicken, no rice, and vegetables minus the mushrooms. I truly dislike mushrooms and will always omit it. The order was take out and when I got home 30 minutes later guess what was inside...mushrooms and chicken. The only vegetables that should have been inside were the onions and zucchini. This was unsettling because I repeated my order several times to the last at the counter and she read it back to me with the omission of mushrooms. I had to remove all the mushrooms and I was left with a plate of hibachi chicken.. nothing else.. I know mistakes happen so I'm willing to give them another chance because the chicken and house made sauce were delicious. People deal with food allergies and restaurants really need to be careful when preparing modified meals. I am truly glad I am not allergic to mushrooms. read more

Ordered dinner via Uber Eats...2 salad entrees (1 with 3 servings STEAK...1 with 2 servings CHICKEN, 1 serving STEAK)...Here's the issue...bag was soaked with meat juices...all containers were wet...and serving of steak did not amount to 3 servings. They definitely need better packaging and customer service skills. I called and requested more steak...but there was not a genuine apology...I had to wipe off everything and place in another bag...the bag quality is poor...I call this the 'pandemic era'...you pay more, get less!!! read more

Hibachi Express is another one of those hidden gems, connected to a gas station ! Doesn't look like much from the outside and honestly there isn't much to fancy the eye inside... but the food is GREAT & CHEAP ! Obviously it's not going to be up to par with the big Japanese steakhouses with sit-down hibachi, but it's a more than suitable alternate. They cook to order and you can watch the owner cook your food as you wait. The portion sizes are very decent for the price and super satisfying. I am a self-proclaimed white sauce (or yum-yum sauce as most of us say) "critic" and often complain about restaurants not having a good sauce but let me tell you that theirs is AMAZING... I drown my food in it every time ! I have nothing bad to say about this place... My boyfriend introduced this hole in a wall place for the quickest quality service. He usually gets the regular shrimp hibachi and I usually get the regular steak hibachi. It is genuinely good comfort food for lunch. They always remember to pack utensils, napkins and yum sauce. I was hesitant to come here because when I saw the place, I thought it was inside the chevron gas station, but no, it's its own store, situated between the Chevron and Mc.Donalds off Lavista road. So what's in the store? I'd be lying if I said this is a huge restaurant, but with "express" in the name, if you expected a couple of tables and a counter to sit/eat at, you'd be right. This evening I ordered their large Hibachi Chicken entree for $8.89 to go. The chicken was Juicy, tasty and cooked fresh on the spot, along with rice and vegetables, complete with a Hibachi sauce. They give you tons of meat and you can select from chicken, steak, shrimp and scallops, but their veggie selections are a little lacking. Right now they only have mushrooms, onions and zucchini with Hibachi orders. With this said, their friendly staff mentioned they'd only been open about a month, so I hope they include more veggies as time passes (broccoli, peppers, baby corn, snow peas, etc would be a good start). They also provide a number of sushi rolls and salads. So i'll give express a conditional four stars. Food is good, portion size is great and the service is fast and friendly, but i'd love to see them include more veggies on their menu. FYI, they share parking with the Chevron so space is at an extreme premium. read more

This place is right next to a gas station and has the most simple menu ive ever seen. They have korean tacos and hibachi with steak chicken or shrimp. I got the hibachi and it was not very much meat with alot of vegetables. It was pretty much anything you would get at a buffet style place with a hibachi bar. This is a location very close to my job, that I have only gone to once prior to today. The last time I went, it was not good, and I waited over two years to try it again. Fast forward to today, and I decided to give a try again. Originally I tried to place my order online, through yelp. It wouldn't allow it. I went directly to their website, and, again, it wouldn't work. So I went ahead and made the trip in person to order. The customer service was fine, nothing at all wrong with it. I got the steak and chicken hibachi plate. I got exactly what I ordered the way I ordered it, so that is a plus. It was cooked well enough, as in the chicken and steak were not overcooked or dry or anything , but had a gross offputting flavor. I cannot for the life of me get that taste out of my mouth. The ginger sauce was the worst I have ever tasted. I love hibachi food, and it is a great way to eat low-carb if you don't get the rice, but I don't think I will be going back to this one. read more
