The lie I was told over the phone that they wouldn't treat me was crazy. I later found out the reason from my doctor after they called to find out what was going on. The real reason they didn't feel comfortable treating me was because I'm a higher-risk patient; having a couple of different organs removed because of cancer. My own doctor was appaulled this place would treat a person like this. Be honest; it's the NUMBER ONE thing a patient looks for. The honesty at this office is zero! Luckily I was referred by my doctor to another care facility who isn't immoral and actually would see me same day! I wouldn't trust a cadaver patient with these people. The lies alone should deter anyone! Also: the procedure I needed was as simple as removing a cyst from my eyelid. Pretty frightening this office isn't specialized enough for that. Edit: By 4pm today, another medical facility had it all taken care of without any anesthetic whatsoever. They releived my pain and discomfort and scheduled me for the procedure to have the rest removed. I just thought I'd let everyone know my remaining experience. During the past 10 years is began to affect my quality of life. (back pain, weight gain, limiting my ability to hike and even ride a bicycle, etc.) It was also affecting my self esteem. Found Dr. Duncan and felt heard and cared for. All interactions have been friendly, professional, and prompt. They told me they don't know and "couldn't care less how long I've been waiting and I could reschedule if it's a problem". It's REALLY hard to get an appointment so no I didn't want to reschedule, I just wanted to know how much longer I'd be waiting. Then the guy who brought me back says, "I heard you complained about the wait. I've been at this all day, getting my ass handed to me, so if you don't like it, you're free to go elsewhere." And then slammed the door to the room in my face. They have made billing errors and after multiple calls and promises to have it corrected, it is still not corrected and every time I am made to feel as if I am inconveniencing them by asking for resolution. I've asked for an office manager name and number and have been refused. I promise, if there was another option, I'd take it. But there's not.

Making the appointment was quick and easy and I was excited to get squeezed in a little earlier than anticipated. Upon arrival I found a convenient parking spot in the lot just behind the building. There's an elevator available to bring you up to the 3rd floor, being the Boulderite that I am I took the stairs. I enjoyed a cup of cool refreshing water, a mini snickers, and just took in all the products and brochures available in the waiting area. The waiting area is open, clean, and full of lots of great natural light. I completed some paperwork which replaced my out of date paperwork on file. Within a few minutes Anne came out to greet me (she is the same awesome gal that administered my halo). We went on back and discussed the treatment further which included what I could expect during, and after the appointment, as well as aftercare. Once on the table I felt relaxed, confident, and ready to get started. Anne suited me up with a band to keep the hair out of my face, cleansed my skin and prepped it for the chemical peel. She administered each layer of the chemical peel always checking in to see how I felt before moving on to the next step. Before I knew it I was out the door and on my way back to work. Aside from a slight glow and the odd hairband my colleagues were none the wiser to this most exciting lunch break of mine.

I did wait a little longer then anticipated in the waiting room but I really didn't mind too much since I wasn't on any particular schedule that day. The roomy waiting area had a box of toys for kids to enjoy and tea or coffee available if you wish to grab a cup. Dr. Swail was kind and I felt comfortable with him. He was also reasonable with pricing which was great because I've researched many doctors back home in California that are qualified and priced right. Nonetheless, I am fairly local to this area and would love to patronize a great practice. I am still doing my due-diligence (as should all of you) but Boulder Valley is up there in the ranking of potential places to get some work done. Not sure exactly when & exactly what I will be getting, but I do know I have the option to come back here to discuss further when the time comes. First, he gave me implants that were much smaller than I specifically requested: A scant A cup rather than a full B cup. No big deal, he said, we will do yet another surgery and replace them. I am trying to keep my job! I can't afford more time off, it is a big deal to me. Then came the nipple reconstruction. I got an open wound instead and ended up in the hospital with staph for several days. I lost more time at work and had to give myself a daily IV from a PIC line for months. I lost my right implant and had to start the months-long process all over again with a new implant. It was ten years before I could bring myself to complete my reconstruction with nipples and right breast revision with Kaiser. Be careful, friends! I had 12 surgeries in the end to get an extremely mediocre result.

I had…read morea botched surgery from another clinic that I went to in boulder and he did his absolute best to give me what I wanted no matter how many surgeries it would take. He didn't charge me the second time because he wanted to get me what I wanted no matter what. He cares for his patients is quick about it and talks you through everything. The nurses are lovely and always helpful, and I have never had a bad experience here. I am so glad I was recommended to this clinic by a friend who went to Dr Wolf for a gyno surgery. It looks amazing now and I'm recovering now, super happy and excited to see how it heals! The only thing I will say is that the front desk is very 50/50. I told them my nipple was possibly necrotic and they did everything in their power to not help me. Sometimes they're great and sometimes they're awful. This time I had to call over 10 times after being hung up on and told to remove stefi strips myself one day after surgery, just to get someone from the staff to contact Dr Steinwald, which once he heard he immediately called me in. I find the cherry creek front desk staff are usually way worse than the golden front desk.
