And the icing on the cake: More than two years since that visit (needless to say, I didn't go back), they bill me for their mixup with my insurance and threaten to send it to collections if I don't pay right then and there. I had not received any previous communication from them about that balance--and I would know, since this time they were able to reach me over text AND email!

So, when it was recommended that I get a different type of cleaning I was open to it. The routine cleaning turned into two visits. multiple shots of Novocain in my gums upper & lower. I should have seen the red flag then. In two visits they had only managed to pressure wash my teeth, they booked me for two more visits after the second visit. One to polish and a fourth to make notes that the first three had been effective. After the second visit I received the invoice for the 3 hours of work, a whopping $1435, so I canceled the third visit. They then proceeded to bill the wrong insurance Co., one from 20 years previous and didn't receive payment, so they sent me a second bill with an overdue notice. A cleaning is typically $150 - 175.00 at most, receiving two bills the second stating I was responsible for the $1,435.00 was unnerving. I called them and straightened out the insurance information. By the time the fourth appointment came around I was out of State and very busy. I called and canceled again, but this time they didn't receive the voicemail and are charging me for a broken appt. fee plus $32 for a rinse the hygienist sent my home with. She made it seem like a gift. I never would have paid #32 for an oral rinse?? This practice has recently changed hands, Dr. Gotterer sold it, and the new management is out for as much of your hard-earned money they can rob you of, " without a gun". Sincerely, James

As a person who deals with anxiety, it's helpful to have a dentist who explains all options and breaks down each process. Even while she's working in your mouth, she explains her next step so that you can anticipate what to hear and feel. She brings me peace. The staff are dynamic. Everyone from the receptionist to the dental assistants. They are one unit; consistently check on each patient throughout their visit. Jerome is the Office Manager. He continues to be the core conduit setting the tone for excellent customer service. I also appreciate the transparency of pay before the procedures. The dentist communicates with the front desk what is needed and the recommended order to get the work done. The front desk then puts in the necessary codes with your insurance plan and gives you a report of cost per procedure. This is so helpful when planning the money that comes out of pocket.
