Went on a recommendation of a good place to stop on way back to Dallas from Little Rock. While a bit out of the way it was absolutely worth it. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. Son had a personal pizza and burger. Wife had chicken fried chicken with fried okra. All the food was great. Everything was well above average. Especially the bacon cheese fries we had as an appetizer. Wait staff was phenomenal. Atmosphere was fantastic. It is way more than you expect out of a small town restaurant. More than worth it. We will be back when we are that way again. read more

Good food, great people. I have always enjoyed the junction, and even though I've moved away I never miss a chance to eat there when I go home whether it be dining in or ordering carry out. I think my all time favorite is the bread sticks and red sauce. Always good. read more

Been to FSJ a hundred times and I'm still surprised. The best thing about the resteraunt is their diverse menu and quality food.

Great for big groups. Came in with large crowd near closing. Could not have asked for better service and the food was amazing. We did miss out on the mashed potatoes since they were sold out for the day, but our orders came out hot and the food was delicious. Portions lean to the heavy side, but the food was so good there was only one leftover box. Hailey was great and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be back. read more

Really enjoy this restaurant and have eaten here several times but this was the first time I was disappointed. I am hoping this review will get their attention. Cesar Salad is a simple salad, ROMAINE lettuce, croutons, and parmesan cheese. There are NO black olives, tomatoes, or spring mix greens. When I order a Cesar Salad, I don't want the chef to be experimenting. I suppose next time I'll stick with the Ruben. read more

I visited from the SF bay area and came here for a local steak dinner. A big, juicy rib eye was only $11.99! Yeah, I could get a steak for that price in the bay area but it would be about the size of a credit card. DeKalb is lucky to have this restaurant. I heard the catfish is awesome too. Cute little spot with patio seating in a town with very few options. Extensive menu with the usual Texas chicken fried everything, steaks, burgers, etc. Oh, and pizza. I ordered the fried mushrooms and Firecracker shrimp. I guess I expected spicy "bang, bang shrimp". Uh....no. Got popcorn shrimp completely devoid of spice but with jalapeno slices around it. Bummer. Fried okay. Tasted ok. Not spicy. The fried mushrooms were okay, too. Service was fast and cheerful. Cute atmosphere. No beer/wine. We passed thru De Kalb Tx and stopped there to eat. I had my service dog Beau with us and we were greeted warmly. The food was great. The service was awesome. Beau got an angus beef burger and he ate it up like a gentleman. If your within 20 miles of The Front Street Junction take a detour there it will be worth the drive. read more

Excellent food!!! Great service and such a fun hip place to eat and catch up with old friends. They have a selection of pretty much anything on the menu and everything we have had was good. Our kids are so picky but with a menu with Italian, Mexican, American, Wings, Seafood and good old Country food the kids have a lot of options to choose from. read more

Ok folks.....we have a winner!!! Who would have know that DeKalb, TX would have such a great restaurant establishment. I haven't been in this area in years, but my family has recommended this place for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised with the pizza. I called it in as I was heading back home. The order was ready when I got there (about 25 minutes). The restaurant itself was clean, organized and the staff was extremely friendly. I ordered a supreme type pizza. The pizza dough is off the chain. OMG!! You can just eat it with some dipping sauce and be happy. It was so good!!! The dough had a slight crunch on the outside but yeasty and chewy on the inside. The ingredients were fresh and of good quality. The amount of cheese was very satisfying. Needless to say, never drive down the road trying to eat a slice of this pizza because you may forget that you're driving....it's that good. Very proud of the town for having such great food for the locals and tourists. read more

My wife and I went there for Valentine's Day. It was wonderful! The food was fabulous ! The service was superb. At most restaurants around here if you order a salad with your meal they bring the salad with your meal but here they brought the salads out right after we ordered them giving us time to eat the salads before our entrees were served. Great Food, Great Service I always look forward to eating at FSJ - hamburgers, pizza, Tex-Mex, pasta... everything is great. Most of the wait staff are lovely young local ladies, and they're all friendly and good at their jobs. I've been going to the FSJ for years, and never been disappointed. If you're traveling between Dallas and Little Rock, take a little detour to DeKalb. You'll get a better meal at the FSJ than at the national chains, and meet some nice people in the meantime. read more

Since we just moved from a major hub to this quaint little town, we had to find a good go to spot to eat... well .. I have to admit it is the only go to spot in town, and boy was I shocked! The food was amazing and reasonable. The service was down home, and friendly. So if you are ever in this "neck of the woods" I would recommend it! read more

Food is avg fresh out of the freezer. Service is usually good. Can be a 30 min or more wait at peak times. Not worth that wait.

While driving home to League City, TX we decided to stop and eat for lunch. The hostess was super friendly and sat us quickly. Restaurant and restrooms were super clean. I have been there several times now and have always been satisfied with everything. They have excellent fried pickles and delicious burgers. They also make great pizzas. My husband loves the rattlesnake pasta. The servers are always friendly and the restaurant is clean. We love the free ice cream cone after the meal. One of my favorite places to eat! read more

This was probably one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. Walking into the restaurant I was greeted by a desert case displaying some of the most scrumptious looking deserts I have ever seen. The server was there and seated us promptly. Upon ordering, we received our food so fast we barely had time to put our straws in our drinks. I sampled my companion's blacked tilapia and knew I would have to get it the next time I was in;-) My platter included the Monterrey chicken dinner with steamed vegetables and a homemade roll. Once again I knew this was a dish I would come back for. After finishing our courses we decided to split a homemade blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Talk about melt in your mouth goodness:p My daughter says there is always room for dessert and I'm glad she's right. The food was excellent, service was excellent, and the restaurant was excellent. Take the drive out to FSJ Bar and Grill and see what I'm talking about. You will not be disappointed! read more
